  1. now my son wants me to build something similar. ... Excellent ship - well done!

Great stuff! Tom Bombadil on the left side, running away? The new islanders work out great in this MOC. Congratulations!
  3. This is just great! I saw the pictures on flickr - absolutely fantastic. Very inspiring!
  4. Thanks for your kind feedback. Now that this temple has found a few fans, I can share some more details about it. There is a treasure hidden at the back of the temple: with some additional light effects: ... and, ok, my boys were not interested... They are more into "Lord of the Rings" right now... Initially I had thought about hiding the light switch a bit more elaborately, but that will have to wait until the temple is being played with again.
  5. [pid][/pid]237D Hello, hello, hello! Here's something new for our favorite pirate topic: A small harbour fortress. (No monkeys in this one. The "Temple of the Monkey God" sadly did not find too many supporters... ) I have tried to find a suitable background. As you can see, I have probably not succeeded. And this is probably worse: ... well, my hobby is more about LEGO, not about photoshopping... Here some less disturbing views: The model is meant to be combined with the rest of our harbour scene (which I have not yet presented to you). The whole thing is modular: I hope you like it. I'll be back with some more nonsense, er, interesting models
  6. [pid][/pid]238C Hi There, sometime back I had promise to come back with some more "monkey-driven designs". So (drum roll) here it is: The Temple of the Monkey God. How did we come up with this? It all started with a few monkey statues that my (older) son and I developed. Then it made sense to find a place for them. This is why you will find three different types of monkey statues. .. and there is a secret treasure hidden within the main statue: (what else could it be?) Actually, I could still combine it with some minifigs from the latest series. As usual, a MOC is never done. I hope you like this - we're working on more monkey stuff! Yours Captain Braunsfeld
  7. [pid][/pid] Miniscale 4B Hi there, my son has built this wonderful mini model which he named HMS Britain: I hope that he will continue and we'll have a fleet that will look good and will be easier to handle than our usual lego ships. Have a nice evening/Sunday. Captain Braunsfeld

[pid][/pid]236D Hi there, this time I'd like to show you a house that might fit into the pirate topic - the Admiral's home: The building is modular - the interior design will be up to my sons. All the best from Captain Braunsfeld
  9. This is so great! Has anyone praised the cannons before? Should you get tired of your fantastic model, we'd happily take it
  10. We had an accident today.... the ship fell down and needs to be reassembled... will take a while (was quite a shock).

Hi folks! My son has almost finished a very nice ship which he has named "Jupiter" This is where the name comes from: Given the fact that he is currently 10,5 years old, he's done a great job. Here is the captain: ... which allows a view of my son's cannon design ("my design" as presented as part of the "Flying Monkey" is actually based on his design). This weekend he is adding more work (adding sails, etc.) so the whole thing will look a bit different and will evolve over time. I hope you like this too. Best wishes from Captain Braunsfeld (and his family)
  12. Yes, they are custom made "black coats". The decals are based on the redcoat designs (and they are not my creation).
  13. The key brick for the cannon is something called: Black Cylinder 1 x 5 1/2 with Handle The rest is "ordinary".
  14. [pid][/pid] 150C Hi guys, I'll try again to post some pics of the infamous "Flying Monkey" (1st attempt failed...): It took me a while to find out how to finalize the ship. Then the idea to apply some monkey-driven design struck me. And then it was easy ... and my children love it ... ... and I tried to invent some new cannons: Next time I can give some insights into other monkey-driven MOCs. Take care Captain Braunsfeld
  15. Thanks for finding it - it's actually my creation (using my Brickshelf account) and I tried to post it here as well - BUT I FAILED.... :-( Haven't quite found out why. The post was named "The Flying Monkey" (what else). Any hint as to where the post has disappeared is welcome!
  16. [pid][/pid] 147A Hi, I'm very happy to be able to present my latest ship which is possibly something like a frigate. You can find some more pictures here: http://www.brickshel...y.cgi?i=5801281 http://www.brickshel...y.cgi?i=5801279 Working title for the ship is "The Seven-and-a-half-Seas". Of course, it would look a bit better if I could do my own rigging like Tobiasz and others (respect!). Yours Captain Braunsfeld
