Superhero Custom Designs - DarkKnight7
Thanks, NickAb, I appreciate your constructive feedback here! Thanks for pointing out the rhombs color as I never really had the best pic to base that on. After you mentioned blue, funny enough, I ran into a poster at work with a more clear pic of this suit, and indeed it was more of a dark blue hue that was accuated in the suit. Along with that, I began looking more closely at the suit, and noticed I had a few other things off, as well (the lines going down the middle of the torso were wrong, the thickness of the lines were a bit too heavy, and the reddish rhombs for the head and upper torso were a bit too bright), so I made a few other adjustments, as well! Thanks again for your feedback, it is so important to really get other designer perspectives, as you will see things that I didn't consider...and therefore allows me to improve my design, or at least consider the option to change...so I appreciate it! I've now added the Zemo torso as well. These were based on a picture referenced in the original request in the Decal Request Thread. Again, hope you like it and please, people that are more familiar with Zemo (I really have no clue about him), let me know if something is wrong or should be changed to make him more accurate. Thanks everyone and...back to Gambit and a few other designs...

Superhero Custom Designs - DarkKnight7
With the many requests for some superhero custom designs, I thought I'd create a separate thread for those. These can be from the popular Superhero movies (other than Dark Knight, as I already have a thread for those), or comic book characters. Hope you like them and as usual, I welcome any comments and critiques. Note: the following designs are copyrighted by the designer, so please be sure to use these only for personal use. Any reproductions of these designs for sale must first be okay'd by the designer. Spiderman (Amazing SpiderMan version) Earth Blue version: Dark Blue version (these will be adjusted soon to match these above): Zemo Here's my design for Zemo that was requested. I wasn't sure about actual color styles, as there were so many variations on the web to go by. As I'm not an officianado on Zemo, I thought I'd make one of each color below. Also, what will be most problematic with any design of Zemo is matching a paint that matches these head colors (as there are no purple heads from TLG as of now), which may be tough. If someone has a paint color they would like me to match it to, please feel free to contact me and I can work with you to try and recolor the purple to match. Also, I don't have a reference to go by for the back, so if someone has one they can share that matches this version of Zemo, please forward to me, I'd be very greatful! Version 2 Version 3 Coming Soon: Gambit

Repository of svg decals
That's good, I'm of the same mind,so I'm glad.I just wanted to check, as some designers feel threatened or insenced by that. I think its so great to see all the differences and styles of each designer...and the more the merrier as that affords more choice, but also a lot of different perspectives to look at. Variety is so great, and I'm becoming such a fan of the designers on here, like you, NickAb, ED209, LuxorV, Emperor Krulos, to name few.

3d Printing in Prime Grey
These are all so well done! I would also be interested in seeing the quality of these in ABS plastics, like Lego uses. Can you also paint on them with this 3D machine, or would you need a separate printer? Also, I was always wondering why there wasn't a headpiece from the 17-18th Centuries that feature whigs protruding out of the bottoms? There has been hair of other types with the hats, I just thought it would be so cool to have a Tricorn hat with a white whig protruding out of the bottom...how cool would that be for those types of figs? Doing that Assassin's Creed British officer made me think of this. You don't happen to be working on that would you? (hint-hint) lol.

Purist TMNT Figures
I know this is a TMNT thread, but I just now noticed your He-Man fig and wondered if you've looked into the Shapeway designs for the He-Man sword and shield (link here) Have you ever (or anyone) looked into this and seen what they looked like? Anyway, I was wondering if you had, as I remember seeing these weapons when I looked through the site. BTW...sorry for getting sidetracked on this thread...continue with the TMNT discussion...

Ah, man! I was just finishing up my own Amazing Spiderman Design someone requested to me! This looks great, NickAb! I hope you don't mind if I post mine as well, it was something I literally finished last night. Great work as usual, my man!!

How is machine printing done?
Wow! You got one heck of a collection there! Especially of Superheroes...shouldn't be hard for you to come up with a new Superheroes Avatar for the contest ;P

Decal Wish List
Hmm, interesting, never heard of him, do you have a source picture to use for this? I might try this out.

Decal Wish List
Here's Norrington. I based his face off of TLG version, just took the beard out of the equation. Hope that works, let me know if you want any changes. Clear Face :

Assassin's Creed Decals
I thought I'd even do a quick mockup, to see what it would look like as a figure...not too bad. (By the way, hopefully FireStarToys is okay with me using their image as a source for this mockup)

Assassin's Creed Decals
Sounds great, and I'd love to see it when you finish! Here's the Officer, let me know if these will work for that render or if there's some tweaks or changes you'd like. I don't know if that first face is necessary, but I was experimenting, so don't feel like you have to use it. I'll try and finish the British Soldiers sometime soon, when I get some more time. Assassin's Creed Decals
Here's a mockup of the Old Ezio Minifig, using some pictures I found on the internet and recreating some BrickWarrior vambraces in brown and using some dark gray material for a wraparound. This is an early stage mockup, but I think there definitely would need to be a sticker design for the hood and a print to be made onto the material around the waist, as that would be much more detailed and intriguing, perhaps. Still working on it, but thought I'd share it and see if you guys had some good thoughts on how to make it better. Definitely needs some hood and leg designs.

Assassin's Creed Decals
The "Old" Ezio from Assassin's Creed Revelations is done and has been added above. Sorry how long it took, but this design took a bit longer than the others to do. I used a dark gray lego torso as the background, as it made the most sense and matched the best to the source picture. I still have to complete the back decal. I can add the bottom portions (draping over the leg) if you would like, but I am also designing a wrap around for all of the figs (minus Young Ezio). All comments and suggestions are very welcome!

Decal Wish List
Great job on the decal, NickAb! That's not the easiest pattern to do, so well done with the edits here! It's fun to see what you create on here, so keep it up!

Decal Wish List
Here's the E. India Company Soldiers from the Pirates of the Caribbean movie. Hope the torsos are what you wanted. No clear versions, as they wouldn't be usable on a dark blue torso. Back Decal:

Decal Wish List
I'll try my hand quick with the E. India Company Soldiers...but from both your requests, you say both Commodore Norrington and Lord Cutler Becket? Which did you want? And there is already a Commodore Norrington available from TLG (below), did you want the version before he is disgraced? (officer uniform) Picture resource would help for either of the latter, thanks.

Cool! I'd love to see that if you finish it! Thanks for crediting me, really, I made it for you to do with as you please, so it was nice to ask and if you credit me, that's great too. But, really, I just hoped that you like the design and can use it, and that's all that matters to me. Thanks for the comments and feel free to post or email me the final brickfilm when you get it done, would love to see it!

Here's the decals you requested. Let me know if there are any tweaks needed. Hope they are what you were looking for. Clear Paper Version:

LOTR: Easterling
Yeah, I really love these designs too! The question now is how do you get that helmet from this concept design to a real mold, because it is just perfect!

Lord of the Rings Game - Minifig Designs
Thanks, Jamit! I just wish the hair and beard pieces were available somewhere so I could make them both. But, I've added the Aragorn from the Army of the West that I found while watching one of the Developer videos again, and that WILL work on pieces we currently have. Might have to buy the fig, just so I could try to maybe print the torso and legs and see how it looked. When I get time, maybe over the holidays, I may have to chat with you about how to do the Blender program, etc.as you did it so well for that Ezio design I had, so I can project my custom designs to promote them.

Lord of the Rings Game - Minifig Designs
This is an older post that was recovered thanks to the great efforts of Bonaparte - I appreciate it! With the new video of the upcoming game for LEGO Lord of the Rings, there were several new characters that I thought looked great and thought I'd have some fun and recreate them. The game features quite a few figs that aren't found in real form...at least not yet. So, if you were like me and wished they could have them, now you can (with the exception of the girl Elves and the White wizard hair being not available...yet). As I finish each one, I'll post them here. Hope you like them and as usual look forward to your comments and thoughts! (Also, if you do use them as decals for your fig, please share them here, as I'd love to see them realized!) Saruman A great looking fig, and this could be realized, just without that great hair piece (can't wait til that comes!). Also, there are parts that I can't see, so I didn't finish those, as the beard would cover it anyways. Clear Paper Version: Gandalf the White Again, this figure doesn't have the hair or beard pieces available, but at least for those that would like to use this for their own customs of Gandalf the White, this is based on some pics from the game, shown below. Plus, thought I'd add my own Ian McKellan smile under the beard ;) Clear Version Aragorn - King, Army of the West I found the picture below while watching the Lord of the Rings video a bit closer and thought I'd recreate the torso. This would be ideal, as the picture suggests, on a dark blue minifig torso with dark gray arms and legs. Since we already have his head and hair, this fig is definitely doable now. Clear Decal Version: Faramir In the game, Faramir has a tan torso and arms, brown hands, reddish brown long hair, and brown legs. So, the in game version is below: Clear Version: But, as Lego has done before, I don't think the colors in this design match the real Faramir in the movie. So, I tweaked some things to make what I think would be a more realistic version. Grima Wormtongue Here's Grima from the game. For Grima, you will need a black torso and legs and black Dastan hair. Again, couldn't help myself, I've also included my take on what I think is a more representative version of Grima from the movie. My Version: Next Up: Grima Wormtongue, Isildor, Elrond (3rd Age Version), The King and The Army of the Dead , Arwen, and Galadriel. (And any others that are requested with images) I will add more as the game presents more.

Request HERE to recover a lost topic (from the 5 day window)
Hi, Was wondering if I could perhaps have my topic "Lord of the Rings Custom Designs" - I think it was entitled - back up in the Minifigure Customization Network area...it contained my design of Saruman from the Lego video game. I plan on putting different designs from the video game, so it would be nice to have for my later designs. Thanks a lot for all you work on restoring this amazing site!! Appreciated!
