I would like to make a funny pic with it. And scenes...one day I will post the AT-AT with this... A "small" 4x4 48-stud baseplate Imperial Base located nowhere... Bye!!!

Here you are! Three pics. The first one is an overall sight of the AT-AT from the front. The second one shows how the legs have been strengthened. Twin technic rotation joints are in each "knee" and "hip" of the AT-AT. This ensures greater stability in all directions, specially if pushed from the front-rear axis. Time ago the AT-AT collapsed when pushed from behind... The third pic shows the "ankle". This part was not strengthened as it was not as weak as the other parts. Bye and thanks for the comments!

Updates on my AT-AT. Two octuple grenade launchers have been attached under the cockpit, close to the heavy turbolasers. These weapons are to improve the protection against infantry -for example- at point-blank. Have some pics. Greetings.
  5. EPISODE VI. I AM UNDER ATTACK!! Pilot Stak had left the INFLEXIBLE towards the unknown... Meanwhile, in the meeting room of the Inflexible all the officers are with Darth Vader... Lord Vader toma la palabra... "I am sure that Admiral Skar is a traitor and he is to meet the Rebels, but we don´t know when and where. Lieutenant Stak has just jumped to hyperspace. Our Intelligence Service provided us the right place to jump, in order to identify an unidentified trading ship. Soon we will know something." Suddenly...a voice sounded: "Tie Explorer Alfa 1 has just jumped from hyperspace. The pilot has informed that he has deployed a sound to provide us images of the situation." There is a corellian corvette in the same place the Tie Alfa 1 is going. Lieutenant Stak had deployed an observation sound. Such sound is stealth and can´t be detected by enemy sensors. Mission control is easy with this device. Then, the holographic screen in the meeting room show an image... The voice of Lieutenant Stak was heard: "Unknown ship, this is Imperial Navy Alfa 1. Get ready to be searched by my sensors." A few seconds later... "Right. Trading ship XHI 25-235, carrying food supplies for planet Kessel´s minesl. Thanks for your cooperation". Suddenly the conversation changed... "Sensor shows fake data!!! REDEMPTION, I say again, REDEPMTION, I am being targeted, attempting to take an evasive action" But it is too late and the sound shows the wreck of the Tie Explorer...fortunately, the cockpit ball is intact. Lord Vader speaks... "We think the REDEMPTION will meet Admiral Skar´s starship, the ISD HARASSER. We don´t know when and where, but we will attack the REDEMPTION so we can track the HARASSER in its computers and capture Admiral Skar. All units are to be ready in 15 minutes. Grand Moff, brief us with the capture of the REDEMPTION." Greetings.
  6. EPISODE V. GO TOWARDS THE UNKNOWN Meanwhile, a Tie Explorer (an upgraded recon version of Darth Vader´s Tie Advanced) is in one of the hangars of ISD INFLEXIBLE, while Pilot Stak and a technician outfit the starship. Once outfitted, the Tie Explorer leaves the Inflexible, next to the Hoth System...and gets ready to jump into hyperspace. Greetings. Pw, be ""RUTHLESS"" in case I committed any grammar mistake, please!
  7. EPISODE IV. Arrival at the meeting. Lord Vader goes to the meeting room, escorted by two Imperial Guards. The tension is evident and, althoug invisible, the fear in the faces of the Stormtrooper es evident too. He finally enters. The meeting room is big enough for briefings in an ISD. There is a holographic screen for each guest, and a big screen is available to watch any information. Several officers attend the meeting. But not everything is evilness in the Imperial Navy. Lieutenants Detlef and Siegfried, former fellows at the Naval Academy in Corellia, meet again. The first one is in the Special Operations Unit and the other one is in the Oberon Squadron, piloting the Advanced Tie Bomber. Together, they go to the meeting room. Lieutenants Van Schnee and Leugim meet again. One as transport pilot and the other one in the Wolf Unit. They also were fellows in the Academy. They got their comission one year later. To be continued... Greetings.

The legs have been strengthened by adding another pair of 44225 and 44224 technic parts. What do I get with it? The legs are more stable, both if you move it front-back or right-left. It can even stand with one rear leg up. It even looks stronger, but, according to the plans, the legs are oversized. I will try to post pics ASAP. Thanks.

Thanks for your comments! The body is scaled. I swear it! But maybe it looks thin. About 50 minifigs can enter. I will post pics for you to check it. The legs...yes, I know they look very thin, but they are scaled anyway. They are even fatter. But they have been strengthened. A double technich rotation pin has been added in every "knee" and "hip", so the AT AT is stonger. Do you remember the Ep V scene when the AT AT falls on the ground? That happened to mine becouse the "hips" and "knees" bended... The cockpit has an interior scope for observation and aiming . Check it! Greetings.

I find it very well finished but it should allow two minifigs to be a "real" At-St, shouldn´t it? Good job anyway. The legs are excellent.

    More pics. Enjoy and greetings.

Ok, I noticed it now! Well, there is no reason about the side armour. Wedge plates have only 3, 4 or 6 studs in length, and don´t have the same angle. So if I wanted to make it longer...the slope of the side armour would not be constant and I consider it would not be very fine. It is another opinion, of course. About the hump...my AT AT has one, and I think it is enough. I don´t want a camel!! Thanks.
  13. sigpro replied to sigpro's post in a topic in LEGO Star Wars
What do you mean with the side armour? And the hump..maybe it is note very big, but I tried to make it as accurate as possible. Thanks.

New pics, inside the cockpit. I shall post more. The cargo area has been re-re-rechanged. 48 passengers can be carried -42 stormtroopers, 5 scout troopers and 1 deck officer-, plus 3 in the cockpit. 5 ready scout bikes for quick patrols. Even General Veers would feel proud. Greetings.

Some pics of the AT AT I have realized that the weight is increasing, so I don´t bet it can stand with three legs. Anyway I hope it will work well. It must be finished, nevertheless. The nails must be changed, the roof must be attached, some items must be attached also, and I have strengthened the legs. I hope you like this previous version.
  16. sigpro replied to sigpro's post in a topic in LEGO Star Wars
Sorry for the delay. The AT AT legs are poseable, but it is not recommended to force them, as the AT AT is heavy, but in the test carried out at home, it could stand balanced with one rear leg up. Unfortunately the head is heavy and the weight makes the AT AT fall if one of the front legs are up. That is physics and the only way to have the AT AT fully balanced would be adding weight in the middle of the "body". Just to complete, the AT AT has an easy-assembly modular building. One module is the head and the attach on the main body. 4 legs. The upper hull -the "back" and "sides". The main hull in which the legs are attached, with the "neck". The same head is also modular. The "roof" and the sides. So it allows a quick disassembly. I will try to put some pics to show it. The legs have been strengthened. Greetings from Spain.

Of course, I must finish it! Many pieces must be attached. Tiles on the front area of the legs. The discs in the "knees" and the "hips". The "nails" must be changed for smaller ones. And many many many upgrades. Thanks!!!!
  18. sigpro replied to sigpro's post in a topic in LEGO Star Wars
Even skinny, they are "over scaled", as they are wider than if I had built them exactly scaled; but they would not have dealt with the weight. Thanks.
  19. sigpro replied to sigpro's post in a topic in LEGO Star Wars
I began with the head in december 2007 The head took many many many upgrades. I finally downloaded the schematics of an ATAT and my first task was to measure the main dimensions. According to EP V, two drivers and General Veers were to fit inside. So I built a prototype and I had to scale it. Once that was done, I had to scale the head with the other dimensions. Leg length, hull height, etc. I think I did a good "0" version. When I get the rest of my BL orders, more upgrades will be done. Thanks!

Here you are, ATAT version "0" It will be upgraded and finished, of course. Enjoy!
  21. sigpro replied to jamie75's post in a topic in LEGO Star Wars
Well, my AT-AT should be about 50 cms -a bit less- in overall height. It has been scaled for minifigs, but the real pattern to scale it has been the head, with the main clause to have two drivers and General Veers. From it, the whole AT-AT is build. Here you are, some pics of the cockpit. Of course, this will be re-re-re-re-restyled, but it is a good begining. Thanks and greetings.
  22. sigpro replied to jamie75's post in a topic in LEGO Star Wars
Wow!!!! It is HUGE. Have you thought in attaching a saddle??? I am dealing with a minifig-real scale AT-AT. Is it yours scaled for minifigs?? Have a pic from my "yorkshire terrier-size" AT-AT Thanks and greetings.
  23. EPISODE III. Beat to quarters!! Meanwhile, in one of the barracks, some members of the "Wolf" unit were taking a rest in their spare time. Those barracks are very spartan-like, with small beds. The helmet was magnetically fixed on the floor and there was room enough for the personal items. As they are not in their sleeping time, the stormtroopers must wear the armour, so they can deal with any emergency in a very short time. Suddenly, the siren sounded. "All stormtroopers from Wolf unit, gather in the meeting room close to the hangar, with all your gear" Quickly, with no answers and after collecting their weapons, they go without knowing what will happen later. Thanks and greetings.
  24. Episode II. An unexpected race. Meanwhile, in a shooting gallery arranged in the Inflexible, the Special Operations Team was testing the Blastec MSG 90 sniper rifle. His leader, Lieutenant Detlfef, was showing them the weapon. Such weapon was to equip scout units and many stormtroopers in assault platoons. The SOU was to test them. He decided to test it by himself. He thought it was a very handy weapon, very easy to grip and very light, slightly more than the standard rifle, but it was unable to shoot full auto. But using thar rifle in such small shooting gallery was vain, so he decided that his men trained with their own weapons. Suddenly, an advise sounded "Lieutenant Detlef, go immediately to meeting hall 1" He thought "what do the want?" Inside his head he remembered his young years as a Cadet in the Naval Imperial Academy in Corellia and he ran quickly. Greetings. EDIT by Hinckley: This isn't html. Unfortunately, you can't use the width and height attributes. But the forum automatically resizes large pics. To resize your pics before you upload them to imageshack check out this tutorial. Thanks.
