So wonderful to see these neo-classic? creations! Mine is now stickered and has a Powered Up tender. I have removed the battery box base to save some height and fit with the original proportions. Powered Up 7777 Pacific, now complete with stickers by Canvas Rails, on Flickr

Superb, I love the neat pistons and the shape of the running board. My preference would be for a 7 wide tender to match the cab, but I know some prefer a 6 wide tender to better transition between the locomotive and 6 wide rolling stock. It may also be possible to reduce the gap between the tender and the locomotive, there are some nice examples of this on Flickr. An awesome build and thank you for sharing the instructions! -

Just released on S@H for VIPs. It is very Winter Village and I think the kids will love it. I also believe there will be some excellent MODs that can be done with two (or three) of these. I love that there is a black funnel with a red stripe. Did anyone else get a happy wave of nostalgia when they saw that?

IMG_4907 by Canvas Rails, on Flickr G'day All, The 2016 Brick Expo was held in Canberra this weekend and was a whole lot of fun. We made it a celebration of 50 years of Lego Trains and had blue track, grey (golden) era 12v, 9v, power functions and monorail. So much monorail. For those who couldn't make it due to being in the other hemisphere, there was a 3D scan done late on Friday night that features the train layout so you can do a virtual walk through! I would love to know what you think of the layout and get pointers from the more experienced exhibitors in the group. My easy favourite is the 12v section because it looked like something straight out of the 7777 ideas book. MOC: 1/33 Swedish 0-8-2T with three (!) working cylinders

That is one of the most beautiful MOCs I have ever seen! The colour scheme, running gear, third piston mechanism, even the stickers are outstanding. I did black and dark blue on a tank engine once ( ) but it is an order of magnitude simpler :) You have an eye for detail, an artist's touch and amazing building skills all together. I can't wait to see what you come up with next. Thanks for sharing your incredible work. -
Splendid little locomotive! I love the use of the red 2x2 round plates with the connecting rods. Is it OK to say I think this is the prettiest 'boxcab' yet?

Great solution with the rubber bands. I would not have thought it could transmit enough torque. I must give it a try. Another solution you could use for a six wheeled shunter is pivoting the train motor like on this tank engine. Because the lateral movement is so small it is barely noticable on corners.
