Serious question about Lego flowers
Both! Seriously, I used to have the studs up, then I found some sets with them down, then changed mine to suit, as I thought I was doing it wrong, then spotted some sets with them up and thought damn it, I'll have it both ways! It's great to contribute to such an extremely serious, major and influential topic that's of dire importance to the continuation of all our sanity!

Dr Leg O'Brick's Superhero Customs
Thanks! I agree, I've now got Mimic, Morph, Sunfire, Longshot, T-Bird, Nocturne, and I'm working on Beak and Blink. I'll leave it at that, as I don't want to post more Exiles spoilers! Thanks on T-Birds legs, I was looking at cutting and painting and gluing when it hit me, why not use a cheese slope and a plate? The Timebroker was someone I completely had disregarded, I hadn't even thought of making him till last night. I was looking through an Exiles guide, looking at who I'd be making next, when it occurred to me, I'd got the torso, why not give it a go? Thanks on Alpha Flight, I'll be sure to get that!

Thanks for the suggestion! It was actually a mistake, my mask got stuck on that particular head, and between the "smile", stubble, and almost identical placing of the cheek bones on that head, it does a good job emulating the original. I'll get a few more in the future, so when I do I'll try that. Thanks! So, some new Exiles that are a bit hit and miss, but before I do, a group shot of my Alpha Flight currently: So, new Exiles! Sunfire (Earth-2109) Thunderbird/T-Bird (Earth-1100) Longshot The Timebroker Enjoy!

MOC: Professor Xavier's wheelchair
Size comparison, bub. Thanks everyone! Nice chair ACPin, I like the way you used one of those newish SNOT bricks to get a robust headrest, and the control panel and smaller weels are great little details. Very clever idea on the wheels as well.

Great use of the new figures! One more from me, Coulson-"When I said go and get the Bus, this is not what I had in mind."

Dr Leg O'Brick's Superhero Customs
Robianco Thank you! I'd been struggling to find wings for ages, I almost used the glow in the dark white Wolverine claws, but I found a picture somewhere of the wings and thought they looked fantastic. They stay plugged in extremely well, much better than most Lego alternatives. I've actually trimmed the hair (via a very unsafe method), when I next take photos I'll make sure a back view is taken. Good luck when making your own! rosalind14 Thanks, my next step is boots, and possibly the red two tone cape from some Star Wars sets! Quasar was a mistake in a way, the entire arms/legs/hands belonged to an old Castle figure, a Crusader, whose gold print had worn off like so many. I'd got the head, cape, and bracelets done, added them, and he looked great! Much better in my opinion than a blank red/blue torso. A few more to come over the next few days, including some new Exiles and an upgraded Longshot!

Dr Leg O'Brick's Superhero Customs
I'm back! Masked Wolverine Quasar (trust me, he does have a stared cape from the Harry Potter sets, just very, very hard to see due to the camera angle) Classic Thor (boots to follow) The big three. Nuff said. Proctor (AKA an evil Black Knight hailing from Earth-374) Viper (I've got a better head, so an update will be forthcoming) Logan (Earth-811 AKA Days Of Future past)/regular Logan Enjoy!! If you have any comment, anything at all, comments, criticisms, suggestions, I'd love to hear them! EDIT: Woops, forgot one: Ronin Again, enjoy!

Super Heroes 2014 Rumors & Discussion
Seeing that new cowl really reminds me of Black Panther's for some reason. If we do get the purple one, I may just buy it, if only just to laugh at how ludicrous it looks. Here's the purple one in various forms: http://static6.businessinsider.com/image/5005d9ce6bb3f72460000012-590/august-1958--2009--2011-the-batman-of-zur-en-arrh--no-this-isnt-bruce-wayne-rather-its-tiano-an-alien-from-the-planet-zur-en-arrh-his-costume-consists-of-red-yellow-and-purple-with-a-much-different-logo-the-character-returns-over-the-years-in-comics-and-television-appearances.jpg

Lego at risk of 'genericide'
I know, and thanks, in future I will clarify further. I suppose "Duplo like" or "Duplo Clone" would be a better way to put it, just a habit I have because, in my mind, I separate Duplo from system, hence I say Megablock fake when in context to system, and Megablock Duplo, when in context to Duplo.

Lego at risk of 'genericide'
I read the same article, and I too thought of Lego. Almost everyone I know who isn't a Lego fan says "look at those Legos" when they see anything brick related. You think, though from a bias point of view, can you read?! It says Megablocks, not Lego! Same thing in shops, you ask someone in a Charity shop, usually volunteers who are average people, "do you have any Lego?", and get shown a bucket of 20 year old Megablock Duplo. Even online, on eBay, "Huge massive cool nice 1000 piece Lego joblot 100% official no fakes bargain Star Wars" is a (made up, but still common) example of a pile of Megablocks. So yes, I do believe that anything that's a plastic brick nowadays is called "Lego" whether it is in fact or not.

REVIEW: 6869 Quinjet Aerial Battle
I'm sure someone more experienced will give you much better measurements, but I just gave my model a quick measurement in studs. With the wings and nose fully out, 45 studs from nose to tail, 47 studs wingspan. In other words, it'll just fit on one of these: http://cache.lego.co...LEGO/628?$main$

Bootleg Super Heroes minifigs - worth it or not?
Yep, I love it! Buy five or so, change the heads and necessary parts, and you've got a start on an ultimate X-Men team!

Custom Xmen
Well, personally, if your going down the blonde route, I'd use either this hair piece: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=90396&in=S Or this one: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=85974&in=S The first one is the one I used in black, but it looks good in blonde too. I'm really interested in seeing how you make Viper, I could never find a good body for her. And as a massive X-Men and Exiles fan, Blink, Warpath, Samurai, and the others all sound fantastic! And that sword you painted, wow, I bet that took awhile to create! Extremely impressive, I look forward to more. To answer your previous question, on who to make next, who do you like the most? Avengers, FF, some villain's? I'd make whoever or whatever you have a desire for to see made of Lego!

MOC: Professor Xavier's wheelchair
Impressive! I like the colouring on it, it reminds me of the X-Men 1 wheelchair with the metallic colours. I love the way you've done the wheels and the head rest, very nice use of parts, looks very professional. Nice head as well for the Professor. Thanks everyone for your kind words. I'll edit this topic in about an hour with a comparison between the Professor and Wolverine, much like KingPixels.

Star Trek DS9 Customs
Sorry for the belated reply. Thanks for the info regarding Quark, I didn't know he was so rare. To eBay, I believe! An update of sorts. I'm currently making Gul Dukat, Weyoun, Kai Winn, and the female changeling. I'm using one of these: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=x141 For the Cardassian armour. Any ideas regarding Jem'Hadar parts?

Review: 76022 - X-Men vs. The Sentinel
Thank you thank you thank you!! I've been dying for a review, despite the price I love the set, not only because I love X-Men stuff, and the figs, and the Bird, and the Sentinel, but also because I grew up loving Claremont's run. Day one buy for me, the Blackbird, though small, has a lot more room than I would've thought. Thanks for the review! For reference, what the costumes are based on: http://3.bp.blogspot...vengers_001.jpg Magneto (the one on the left, far back) http://womenwriteabo.../04/cockrum.jpg Storm http://static.comicv...lverine_b_t.jpg Wolverine http://www.comics101...r30/cyclops.jpg Cyclops

Cats and LEGO
Mine just likes to wreak havoc. He'll jump on my chair, rip that to bits, jump on to my city and then, for some odd reason, he'll bash minifigs around with his paws, swipe a few flags and rails with his tail, then he'll finally walk around, clear a spot, and fall asleep. I wonder what my minifigs do to him when I'm not around for him to mistreat them like that . The other thing he did, Lego wise, was to climb my shelves, brake them, fall off, and land on the Imperial Flagship, the 1000 piece plus version. You give him all the love and care in the world, and what does he do? He goes and finds the biggest thing to smash and drops an equally big thing to smash it with. Cats, I've never understood mine...

Marvel Cinematic Universe
Masters of Evil would be brilliant. We've got Abomination, Blizzard, Blackout, and a few others so far, while I see Zemo, Enchantress and Executioner only a matter of time. They could introduce Wonder Man that way as well, hence have him join the Avengers later on.

Simpsons Lego Episode to air this Sunday on Fox Network
I watched it over the internet just, it was good, not to give away too much. A few laughs here and there, some good irony as well, overhyped but still good. I stopped watching Simpsons many years ago (I'm more of a Futurama fan), but I'll still tune in to Sky when it's aired along with the upcoming Futurama/Simpsons crossover at the end of this season/beginning of next, if it happens that is.

OMG... My cousin found my old childhood Lego from the 80's...
Wow, you've got a brilliant collection and a brilliant story to match! I spy some town, space, and Pirates, you'll have a lot of fun sorting that I bet. Congratulations on finding your childhood collection!
