Just returned from BrickFair VA 2013. Had a blast! Exhibited our Star Wars Death Star clocks. Got a great response. (LEGO Cuusoo project http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/16974) Please vote if you like it. Thanks!
  2. This project was just featured on Wired.com's GeekDad! I'm so excited! "Be on Time to Support This Lego Death Star Clock" http://www.wired.com/geekdad/2012/07/lego-death-star-clock/ I hope it makes it to 10,000! Thanks to everyone who has supported the project, and for those who haven't (yet!), what are you waiting for?! Thanks to everyone! BTW, does anyone have any insight on what it would take to get this news listed on Eurobricks' front page. I certainly could use all the help I can get! -WWWally http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/16974
  3. Wow, thanks for the glowing praise! And thanks to everyone for commenting here and for your Support clicks. 10,000 clicks is a long way to go. To anyone in this thread: If you like the project, please login on the cuusoo site and click Support. Spread the word on your social media sites, so this project might succeed. Thanks! -WWWally
  4. Very clever. I like it. Although I'm more of a fan of the Original Trilogy, Darth Maul's double-length lightsaber might work well for the minute hand. To everyone in this thread, if you like the model, please consider clicking "Support" on the Cuusoo page. I'd greatly appreciate it! -WWWally
  5. Originally, when I conceived the idea, I thought to replace the clock arms with technic axles and attach a micro-scale X-wing to one and a micro-TIE to the other. This way, they would chase each other around. I never tried it, as I thought the weight might interfere with the clock movement. Thanks for your comment! -WWWally
  6. I've posted a MOC on LEGO Cuusoo that I'd love to get feedback on. (And possible support if people like it, of course!) Death Star II wall/desk clock sculpture http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/16974 It's an 18-stud diameter studs-up plate sphere of the Death Star II, with an integrated clock movement. Move views are posted on the Cuusoo page. Thanks! -WWWally http://lego.cuusoo.com/profile/WWWally Edit: This project was just featured on Wired.com's GeekDad! I'm so excited! Really freaky, and very organic looking. Nice work!
  8. I like it a lot! Why did you go with a 6-wide canopy? From the rest of the model, it looks like it could easily accommodate a 4-wide. Did you try it? To me, the current canopy looks too "beefy" and square-ish relative to the rest of the model. I might also suggest changing the front orange plate to tiles to smooth the nose. Otherwise, I love it. Thanks for posting!

Very cool! I would definitely suggest making the top and bottom of the cockpit ball two studs thinner to make it look rounder. It's a bit too square as is, but otherwise an extremely impressive work!
  10. I'd post my amount, but if my wife saw it, she'd kill me!
  11. Boba Fett always holds a special place in my heart.
