  1. Meh. It would stand out the most and it's the ugliest IMO. I'm fine with the omission. Super pumped about that War Machine though.
  2. Edit by Rufus - Original thread title: LEGO accused of racism for Jabba's Palace resembling a mosque & ...minifigs resembling "terrorists, criminals, and murderers." http://www.dailymail...sed-mosque.html "It is clear that the ugly figure of Jabba and the whole scene smacks of racial prejudice and vulgar insinuations against Asians and Orientals as people with deceitful and criminal personalities."
  3. Awesome. I'd like to see this in black.
  4. This is definitely one of the coolest sets I've purchased. I mainly bought this for the chassis pieces that allow the wheel movement, and we've got one for both a car AND a motorcycle. I agreed with what you said about the SNOT pieces in front of the windshield. I've started making some minor tweaks on my car to make it more suitable to my own tastes, including removing the side mirror pieces and replacing with a more discreet flat tile. Makes it look cleaner IMO. I think the black/green/yellow combination on the front looks sweet, so I added some more yellows and a grille. The back-end I thought was very flawlessly executed so I don't have many gripes there. I did redo the interior a bit though. I darkened it up and added some more "control panel" pieces to the cockpit. Anyways, kudos to they guy who designed this car. Definitely the coolest vehicle i've put together. I'll probably keep this together for a while.
  5. I'll buy a few of the droideka packs, but no thanks on the rest. I'm a phase 1 collector so most of these phase 2 clone sets will be avoided by me. Am I the only one who thinks TOR figs are ugly? Malgus was awesome, but his troopers and these guys are all pretty ugly. I don't know, I guess I just don't play TOR. Personally, of all SW fans and all lego fans, I think people who ACTUALLY play and are familiar with TOR are a very small minority. Making sets around it seem like a waste to me. I'm sure the people who want them are happy, but a lot more people would be happy seeing those sets replaced with movie-based sets.
  6. From the Target sale last week: Geonosian Starfighter and Clone Trooper Battle Pack Recent eBay: 8014 Clone Walker Battle Pack Decided I'm going to curb my minifig habit by only collecting Sith and Clones. I just can't keep up with all the Super Heroes and CMF. Sith and Clone figs are way cooler anyways!

I completely agree with the comment on that page that the turtles look like they have vaginas. Krang looks like shit and I'm really not a fan of Don's bo staff. I'm VERY sad to see no Casey Jones :( All my whiney complaints aside, Shredder is badass. I'll buy whatever set he comes in (likely the most expensive) just to get him.
  8. Wow that looks even better! Very well done with the revisions.
  9. Just a heads up to those looking to amass hoards inexpensively, the Zombie polybag is back in stock at TRU.com: http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=13215032 I missed out on the S1 zombie like many others did, so I was pumped to see a cheap route to get a bunch of these guys. eBay has a handful listed, but they're even more overpriced than TRU. To make this discussion worthy of a new thread, post pics of your zombie armies if you have any!
  10. Where on Amazon did you find a box of series 8? All I've managed to find are eBay "pre-sales" that don't look to be shipping for at least a month.
  11. If I understand you correctly, this is for bulk lego. You sold a lot to a guy, now this guy is selling it to someone else. Did he not remove anything from the lot? Seems odd to buy a lot of lego (which can be a pain in the megablocks or at the very least a crapshoot) just to immediately resell. Anyways, as long is it's not misleading and is the same exact pieces you sold him, then it's not really a disservice to other users. You'd likely be wasting your time, though I can totally understand being slightly put off by this happening.
  12. When the Hulk minifig was on promotion, I made sure to get my hands on one. This is because I wanted a set of Avengers MF, but preferred not to include the large Hulk from the sets. And I think some people felt the same. I think it depends on your aesthetic tastes. If I wanted a set of Avengers to play with or was more concerned with having them at a scale more closely representing that of the film, I'd prefer the large Hulk. However, I prefer to have my MF made of interchangeable pieces firstly, but most importantly I like being able to stand them in evenly spaced rows to maintain some semblance of symmetry/uniformity. Some things like the Wampa or Rancor, I can understand making large, but I would only consider them a part of the MF world and not actually MFs themselves.
  13. Reminds me of how poor of a selection we get for darker skin tones on minifigs. This fact has thwarted many a MOC for me. Guess I'll have to buy a bunch of Mace Windus or those silly basketball sets from a while back.
  14. Where's the best place to order a case of these? I've read of some users on here receiving cases that'd been opened and potentially tampered with (i.e. better figures traded out for lamer ones). Am I the only one VERY pumped about the businessman??? The suit is useful and the face is cool, but the BLACK BOWLER HAT is awesome. Clockwork Orange droogs anyone?
