@Operacion Saturno you know you can answer to more than one comment on the same day instead of answering just once per day and bumping your topic to the top of the list...

[MOC] UCS Jedi Defender Class Light Corvette
Bob De Quatre replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks everyone! Both the egines and the big side thingies should be illuminated, but I couldn't find a suitable solution. I tried using EL wires but the light wasn"t bright enough. I considered using leds but I had three problems: space, cost and gaps in the model that would have let the light go through anf thud would have needed 3d printed parts (or duct tape). Anyway I decided to not illuminate those areas.... -
A little build I did back in October. It was a Vic Viper at the time, and got displayed at a couple of events, but I never really liked how it turned out... So I decided to get rid of the two prongs and added the guns on the wings. Ice Planet Recon Craft by BobDeQuatre, on Flickr Ice Planet Recon Craft by BobDeQuatre, on Flickr

What a journey it was... It's been two years since I started working on this MOC, but I've been wanting to do it since Lego released their version of the Defender back in 2013... I don't know how many hours I spent working on it, or the number of parts I used... But the answer might be close to "a fucking quite lot". It's officially a SHIP since it is 80 studs long and 64 studs width. I used as reference a picture of an official artwork for the game but it was too small to take any measurements, so I also used a high-res image of a 3D rendering that had orthogonal views of the ship and of course Sariel's model scaler to get all the dimensions in Lego studs. Ok guys, let's stop the argument about the City space boxes before it goes too far. Maybe one day we'll have a clear explanation from some one from TLG. Today I plan on getting as much Ice Planet and M-tron cmf as possible, but since I don't have a good internet connexion while in my local Lego Store, I'll most likely won't use Brick Search app but just a simple QR code scanner and check the numbers in the list provided here https://www.thebrickfan.com/lego-space-collectible-minifigures-71046-code-scanning-returns/

Cat A doesn't need a background and only the crew should be taken in consideration for the votes. -

Anything can enter cat C. For cat B you'll have to follow the rules, and then your entry is considered a WIP until the end of the contest. There are no rules about number of parts, you can use as many as you want... If you read carefully the rules, the key word is "or"... key features, shapes or functionnalities are mentiuonned as examples, the important thinkg is that when people see your moc and the original set, they could see the link between the two. -
[Contest] Space Pirates - Back to the Carribean Galaxy!
Bob De Quatre replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Sorry for the late reply... Altough I really like the idea of a steampunk pirates theme, for this contest we'll stick to space pirates... So yes it is stricly space style pirates. For Category B you have to redesign an existing pirate set in the space pirate theme. I added a precision to the rules "For category B, you must rebuild one existing Lego pirate set, from any era including the latest produced last year, into a space pirate moc. The original set must be recognizable, with key features, shapes or functionnalities for example." If you wanted to enter category B, I think you took the wrong path starting from a space set isntead of a pirate set. If you want to continue this MOC, I then suggest you post it for category C.
