  1. I must say, I'm not too impressed with this new wave of sets. It looks like TLG put all their effort into designing new minifigures, instead of concentrating on designing good sets. They even went as far as to reuse previous incarnations of those sets. Look at 75015 and 7748, 75016 and 7681, 75019 and 7675, and 75021 and 7676. However, I must give credit to the Ewok Village. It's a little pricey though.
  2. That looks fake. Even though we've heard rumors about the existence of an Alien Trooper, it still looks fake. Look at the right side of the armor. You will see that part of it seems to have been removed. Either this is a computer editing error (which I doubt), or LEGO decided to make a new mold for the Trooper, both of which are unlikely.
  3. So the vehicles can eat the minifigures! Interesting. Gorillas? Why not rhinos? However, I will look forward to seeing the vehicle the gorillas will have! Most likely, since LEGO likes to reuse molds for various ideas. Maybe CMF's foreshadow upcoming themes more than we thought!

I think it is. However, I don't think LEGO can sue in some countries, like China.

Disney handled Pixar well, I must say (except for Cars 2 ), but they did not handle Marvel very well, as evident from Thor. And yes, it can get worse than the PT.
  6. What I like about LEGO sets is not just the minifigures, but the actual models themselves. After all, that is the main part of the sets, right? I appreciate the increased detail on minifigures, but what I don't like is the fact that increased detail draws attention away from the models and that the designer put all their effort into making nice minifigures, instead of good sets.
  7. Well, at least we have no worries about the LEGO liscense continuing, as Disney already has a deal with LEGO.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! How could this have happened!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Disney is going to screw Star Wars!!!! How are the upcoming Sequel Trilogy that we've waited decades for goint ot be better than the New Jedi Order media we've been seeing?! Why did Lucas do this, of all things?
  9. Great game, Pandora and Rick! I enjoyed watching this game from the sidelines. I wish I could have played. However, real life come before Mafia.
  10. With the shrinking size of sets and more detail on minifigures, I don't think so.
  11. At most LEGO will make one of the troopers you specified. LEGO is not a huge fan of making individual troopers, with the exception of clone commanders.

I think this will be a summer release. It's just that the names were leaked early, that's all.
  13. The worst unmentioned Licensed minifigure must be the new Spider-Man. He has way too much blue on him. And the best minifigure must be this: http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120606185336/lego/images/9/9c/Lor020.jpg
  14. Don't worry. Grogall will come to the rescue with HR pics!

Amazing! I like the detail, especially on the crab droid. Great job not using any custom parts, too.
  16. Aren't those exclusives the Umbaran MHC and the BARC Speeder? Or are those regular sets?
  17. I agree with you there, but the new variations are aesthetically pleasing. What I'd like is a droideka that looks good aesthetically that can still roll up into a ball.
  18. What's so bad about this set? I have it, and I like the pump cannon that it came with and the fact that the alien ship can split into four ships. I am still surprised no one has mentioned this: http://brickset.com/detail/?Set=6835-1
  19. These new planets sets look okay. I haven't gotten any planets sets, but these look better than previous waves. Save the "asteroid belt", which looks like a black background with stars. Where's our "potato blob"!!
  20. You missed my point. The intense detail on the helmet makes it look un-LEGO. Anyway, what threw me off about the pilot/mechanic issue was the fact that the minifigure is holding a wrench.
  21. Interesting. I never noticed that even though I saw Clones again just yesterday.
  22. Did anyone notice the name of the theme seems to have changed from "Legends of Chima" to just Chima?
  23. These sets look great. The minifigures, although hard to see, look very detailed. Note the reuse of Atlantis keys and the animal in the corner of the box art changes according to which faction the vehicle represents. EDIT: I just realized that the birds are actually two separate factions: eagles and. . .nighthawks? Plus, all the factions get one vehicles each, except the nighthawks and wolves, which only have one. The lions, eagles, and crocodiles, however, all get two. EDIT2: The nighthawks do get two vehicles; they have another in the set with the large eagle.
  24. This is actually a good wave, but did not require my intense zeal from earlier. AT-RT: A pretty good set, but it looks like an AT-PT without a roof. I do like Appo and the Commando Droid with white markings. The doideka, however, is probably the best droideka ever made. Clone/Droideka BP: This is a good set! I like the droidekas, which is the only reason I'll buy this set, since I have too many clones. And is the mini swamp speeder using a similar idea like the small AV-7 from last winter? Z-95 Headhunter: This ship is pretty accurate to the show (surprise! ). It, however, looks better from the back than the front. Weird. I will also be interested in what connection Krell's head will have to his extra arms. Umabaran MHC: The cannon looks good, but I am surprised that LEGO, with the new age of excessive minifigure detail, decided to give the Umbarans ADU helmets. The new Ahsoka also looks good, but why doesn't she have a short blade for one of her lightsabers colored the old green they used for green lightsabers? More LEGO laziness. BARC Speeder: My least favorite. The BARC with the sidecar is pointless. The only appealing thing about this set is the new variant of Obi-Wan and Rex. A-Wing: The ship looks similar to its previous incarnation. Since I already have Ackbar (after I BLed him), this is probably a pass. The helmet on the pilot (or mechanic) looks very un-LEGO. TOR BP: I like the Republic troopers, and the new Sith trooper. The vehicle itself is pointless, though. Overall, this wave looks great!

Oh. I didn't realize that the look would change so dramatically (still getting used to it).
