  1. Signed Harry Potter brought us great parts/colours, don't let it end.

An amazing piece of work, I didn't know brown/frown would work so well for a castle. Great shape, also great detailing with stuff like the pickaxes and landscaping.
  3. This looks amazing, probably the best lego hospital I've ever seen. And there's not a single boring part due to the excellent variations in texture, height and colours.
  4. The old ones are better between these two types, but the cloth ones are the best.
  5. I finally got 6271 Imperial Flagship . Now I got just about every set I want, except maybe 6277 ITP, but I got eldorado fortress and the sails for the cutter, so I could make it for 95%, so I don't feel like forking out big bucks for it.
  6. The largest (in volume) are probably the 32 x 48 x 6 raised baseplates.

I vaguely remember hearing about this quite some time ago. This seems very interesting and fun to do, I might have to read into it some more in the near future. Thanks for bringing this to the attention.
  8. You can get minifigs from bricklink, but that can be very expensive to build your armies, especially if you're planning huge ones. Ebay or similar auction sites are probably your best bet to get large quantities of minifigs fairly easily and fast, +if you're patient, it can be cheap as well. Welcome to EB by the way .
  9. Don't forget the advent calendar . But most pirates are overused, especially bad with the guy with frown vest/rope/anchor tattoo, good he isn't in this.

This is amazing, so many nice subtle details. Nicely textured wall, "flipper roof", nice castle shape etc. I always love winter scenes, gives me a great feeling.
  11. Erupting volcano - 6248 volcano island Collapsing masts - 6280 armada flagship and 6289 red beard runner Portcullis and drawbridge - 6090 royal knight's castle, among others Fast firing projectiles - 7020 Army of Vikings with Heavy Artillery Wagon Exploding wall - 6755 sheriff's lock-up Falling rocks - 6082 Fire Breathing Fortress and 7419 Dragon Fortress among others
  12. Not just a chance, I think it would win, it has 3 masts actually (there's one on the rear deck), and probably a better sail surface to ship size ratio, so it's likely more manueverable.

Fireworks are great. Always a joy to light and to watch.

Allright mister, that just cost you the competition . Very nice moc, I just love these moc-versions of sets. I like that you used yellow, makes it feel more classic than it would have with tan. The only thing I don't really like are the minifigs, but other than that, it's brilliant.
  15. I don't think anyone knows for sure, but they certainly look to be the same size.
  16. Seems pretty interresting, nice idea with quite some potential. I wonder what it will be like in practice, so I can't wait to see a review.

Never mind, you clearly don't understand. And apparently you feel the need to insult me and my opinion in pm's (and not even allowing response).

Looks like some sets have 1x3 tiles, just like the new power miners set (at least 8057 looks like it has)
  22. Mostly diversity. Since I mostly collect pirates (I got every different torso from the old line, and a few new ones), I do want an army of identical imperials, but most other figs are "unique" (even thought for now several groups of my pirates are identical for easy reference, in a display/moc I wouldn't want identical pirates or civillians, so I'll switch heads/legs/headgear).
  23. This seems like a rather decent set (especially compared to the horrendous ship that was brickbeards bounty). I'm really glad they made it dark brown instead of frown. Nice that is has a new female figure, but I liked the other one that came with BB more. I would have expected another soldier (or pirate), but for today's standards, this is a pretty generous minifig selection. Still doesn't hold a candle to SES, BSB, IF or RBR, so I probably won't buy it, but it does look better than crossbone clipper (even BB manages to beat that "thing") and RR and it's about equal to CC and AF (but that might be mostly due to the massive size of this new ship and it's being held back for not having the old style masts and rigging for the sails, otherwise it would have probably been better). Can't wait to get a better view of it, so I'm hoping someone will do a review. And it probably has been mentioned before, but it looks like the pirate has a new sword.
  24. This is one of the best tank mocs I've seen, very detailed, I think I've seen a tiger moc that was slightly better, but this is very close.
  25. Those are some very nice prizes, thanks to the people that made this possible, this is gonna be a very busy contest (or , depending if you just want to enter for fun or you want higher chances at winning ) I hope I can enter, but I've been very low on inspiration and drive to make mocs lately (and busy).
