I'm afraid it doesn't mean much, just like the monkey mold mentioned before. And I think there where also flintlock rifles in the batman set arkham asylum, and the ship midsections in the viking longship and some castle ships. Allthough we can always hope for a new (good, as in: not 4+) pirate theme. At least they still have some of the important molds.

Dwarf: Where's your bagpipe? Troll: Bagpipe?, oh!, I thought you said "red bike"...

I'm not from Holland, but from the Netherlands (provinciaal he :-P) ain't that great? ,the more the merier right? ;-)

Redcoats for me, somehow they just look better, and they also have a nicer ship. I really wish they'd had a nice big fort though.

For the regular guys I like the blue epaulettes, but for the higher ranked I prefer yellow, just like they are in the official sets I think. White or red isn't prominent enough on the red/white torsos in my opinion.

I own neither of them (I hope I can find one of them to buy sometime), but from what I've seen on pictures the Imperial Flagship is a lot better. The sleeker hull makes for a better proportioned ship, it has Imperial guards, which I like more than the Imperial soldiers, and the Clipper seems a bit empty. And of course the Flagship has some great sails and a compass, so my vote goes to the Imperial Flagship.

It's a bit of a combination of those two, but kinda hard to explain. But the English equivalent would be flute (although it is pronounced differently), so you're right. Fluyt is the old spelling of "fluit", meaning flute or whistle. I'm hoping I will indeed one day build a nice ship, be it a fluyt or not, but first I'll have to get some good parts, and some training in ship-building :-P. If so I think I'll model it after "the Duyfken" (the ship with which Australia was discovered), but that might take quite some time before I have the parts and skills to build it. First I'll want to make an imperial harbour to put a ship in. Thanks for the welcomes *sweet*

Hello all, As you can probably see I'm new here ;-) I'm 19-years old, I've been lurking for quite some time, and been in and out of a dark age for a few years now. Hopefully I'll fully recover from that :-P (but sadly I've missed ninja, and the legends, + I never got a lot of sets from before 1990 :'-( ). When I was younger I was into allmost all themes, but mostly into town and castle. Nowadays I focus on castle, but I'm feeling like moving on to pirates. Greetings, Fluyt
