2025 Technic Sets Discussion
R0Sch replied to Ngoc Nguyen's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingAs @AVCampos writes there is precedent and it's clear from the disappearance of PUp from lego.com that the system is dead. The RC Porsche GT4 also uses a USB-C rechargeable hub similar to these. Spike had the same angular motors as Technic sets used and also some miniature ones. Now I only hope we will see sensors and smart hubs in Technic too, since Mindstorms is also dead and burried and Education sets are never available in retail.

General Part Discussion
R0Sch replied to Polo-Freak's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingBecause they receive a new element ID and part nr. and get treated as such by Studio and database admins too, whereas recolours only get a new element ID but the part nr. remains the same.

42202 Ducati Panigale V4S
R0Sch replied to Ngoc Nguyen's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingIt was just a joke. LEGO also thinks the same way, hence the optional stickers. Prints are way too durable for display models anyway and limit part reusability.

42202 Ducati Panigale V4S
R0Sch replied to Ngoc Nguyen's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingNice, but you forgot the licensed stickers. Without them you can't tell that it's a Ducati Panigale. ;) Did anyone notice that there's apparently an unwritten rule at TLG that bevel gears shouldn't mesh with spur gears? It's consistent in all the years since the new spur gear versions of 12T, 16T, 20T, etc. appeared.

General Part Discussion
R0Sch replied to Polo-Freak's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingGood deduction! It's exactly used as you describe. Here is the mock-up of the parts and how they connect. Maybe this heavy duty ratcheting joint will be used in the upcoming UCS AT-ST Walker. It's also interesting to know that the Designer behind this HD joint is Janko Grujic, who designed last year's large City Excavator 60460 (which introduced the 5713 element 3L Axle and Pin Connector). If we look at the upcoming list of City sets for June, we can find two possible candidates 60466 Bulldozer with Front Loader or my main hunch 60467 Heavy Duty Recovery Tow Truck with Crane, an 80$, 793 pcs vehicle probably similar in size as 60409. where this assembly would be of use.

[CADA] CADA General Discussion Topic
Unless LEGO is also planning to release a flagship JCB excavator later this year, which would explain why it's still pending approval on CaDA's side.

LEGO Trains 2025
Maybe it's just supposed to be a caboose styled boxcar like this: https://oklahomarailwaymuseum.org/exhibits/rock-island-17834-caboose/

Nothing interesting besides the 1:8 Kick Sauber F1 and 1:10 Mazda 787B models in the 2025 catalog imo.

LEGO Trains 2025
The train didn't just get 6 extra minifigures, but the whole train was changed getting an extra wagon, the tender can now be motorized (sadly the train motor and hub are discontinued now), even the track base is less part intensive now. It did get 432 parts more in the process.

LEGO City 2025 SETS - Leaks, rumours, discussion. (Animals too)
Cool Make & Take soapbox racer on the 15th & 16th January (at least in DACH region). The minifigure seems to be the same from 60460 though.

Latest impact of other themes on historic themes
Apparently the Harry Potter set 76447 includes a black parrot. Do you know which other set had this exclusive part 35 years ago? I don't think this is a coincidence. Do you?

General Part Discussion
R0Sch replied to Polo-Freak's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingThere are pearl gold Driving Ring Extensions 35186 in one of the Ninjago march releases. @Lipko Just cut two 60483 through the middle of the axle hole and glue them together. That's exactly how I modeled this in Part Designer. If you fear it will break when inserting an axle, leave one beam intact, drill the axle hole from the second out and glue them together like this:

R0Sch replied to Polo-Freak's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingYes, it is known. Dump Truck, Submarine and Bush Plane contain them. Technically, this yarn element is a Technic part too.

2025 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
Exactly, that's why it would make total sense to make the yellow castle which also contained several brickbuilt horses. Something like this would look so cool:
