42128 - Heavy-Duty Tow Truck
R0Sch replied to Ngoc Nguyen's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI think the tow truck will be the highlight from the summer wave. An all manual, stuffed with functions, medium budget set with very cool parts... Technic sets don't need to have >3000 parts, only function with an app and cost a fortune to be great. In case you didn't see it the JP LEGO catalogue is online again: Link

42131 - CAT D11 Bulldozer
R0Sch replied to Maaboo the Witch's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingHe should have been, as he is the creator of the first Motorized Bulldozer 8275. Who'd be better for the job?

42131 - CAT D11 Bulldozer
R0Sch replied to Maaboo the Witch's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingYes, this part was confirmed by brick-a-brac. And another thing he mentioned was a manual pre-tensioning system for the tracks. So with all black actuators it will pretty much be spot on to the real thing. Hope Kossi outdone himself again with this 3800+ piece behemoth and it will have enough torque to push some furniture around.

42131 - CAT D11 Bulldozer
R0Sch replied to Maaboo the Witch's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingYes, I mean the normal cylinders, not the small axle-bushing engine we got in the Volvo Dumper. Bric-a-brac/promobricks probably got the retail catalogue pictures on hand, so yes, it must be reliable. Otherwise they couldn't check during live stream the exact width upon viewer request.

42131 - CAT D11 Bulldozer
R0Sch replied to Maaboo the Witch's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling+ motorized (raisable) ripper. + V12 fake engine with large cylinders The number of functions and 450€ price tag suggests 2x C+ hubs, same as the Liebherr. The blade is supposed to be 50 stud wide, that's 40cm!!!! Lessons learned: Never trust preliminary pictures and early leaks. Must be a new tactic from TLG to let copycats follow a false lead. Yes, the swinging movement was also confirmed.

LEGO Trains 2021
It's actually bad news. Because then all the set numbers for this year are taken up and none will be a train. Why does TLG release 2 Creator Expert cars this year and no train? Because VW and Porsche are big cash cows and trains are just a niche thing in TLG's eyes. As others also mentioned, not releasing some waggons with the Crocodile in the same year, let alone this year is another sign that trains are way down on the priority list. LEGO is all about licenses now and an old train is not trending in the current market research. I think the Croc was constantly sold out because of few production quantaties and resellers buying them up, and not because of popularity, or else we would have seen another set this year for sure.

LEGO Trains 2021
I think 10279 might be a new Creator Expert train set. Sariel published the embargo dates on his upcoming reviews and there are two Creator sets mentioned, one of them is the DeLorean, but 10279 was never mentioned in any previous leaks and is set for July 1st. Pretty close to last year's Crocodile. So far I gathered this: 10282 Adidas Superstar 10284 Camp Nou stadium 10288 Winter Village Collection? 10290 DeLorean 10291 Queer Eye 10293 Fairground Collection? 10294 World Building / Titanic So a new train/locomotive would be my best guess for 10279.

Future Castle Sets?
Castle looks good, but that dragon was unnecessary. Now it's just another fantasy castle.

42131 - CAT D11 Bulldozer
R0Sch replied to Maaboo the Witch's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI wonder what the winch below the cabin is supposed to be used for. The 350€ price range and <2500 parts are more likely seeing the pic. Remember the initial prices and part count are leaked by retailers before the final model is available and even the preliminary images can still change a little. Maybe Zetros and CAT will finally have a rechargeable battery pack to justify a higher price, although I expect LEGO to release such a product as a standalone thing for 100€.

R0Sch replied to dhc6twinotter's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling@eric trax Thanks, I guess you were right about the Xerion tires. The smaller rims don't scale up correctly

42129 - 4x4 Mercedes-Benz Zetros
R0Sch replied to dhc6twinotter's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingShould be around 75 mm like the new spiky tires since they also use the 43.2 mm rims. Edit: I did a small downscaling in Studio. The new tire should be 78% of Xerion tire so around 83 x 34 mm to fit 43.2 rims.

R0Sch replied to dhc6twinotter's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingIt's not so small with around 45 stud length and 20 wide. And hey, finally a trial truck after so many years!

[SURVEY] TLG Technic Team needs your input
Doesn't look like a serious and well thought out survey judging by the questions asked and the possibility to submit multiple times. And because everyone can participate the results will be unrepresentative for Technic fans. Did anyone from LEGO give a feedback regarding the Facebook poll from last year? Or was this also a waste of time? https://www.facebook.com/LEGOTechnic/photos/a.147546508964773/1043098446076237/?type=3&amp%3Bcomment_id=1043119549407460&amp%3Bnotif_t=feedback_reaction_generic&amp%3Bnotif_id=1585149920676615&amp%3Bref=m_notif

42131 - CAT D11 Bulldozer
R0Sch replied to Maaboo the Witch's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingDon't worry about bland looking Technic sets, luckily the visible blue, brown, tan, yellow, red, light and dark bluish gray colored pin, axle and gears spice things up for us. ;) I am also anxious about the wave of summer sets since it's always the better one in a year. It's sad that the Nürnberg Toy Fair was not held digitally (as SPIEL did last year) to showcase the upcoming products, but I guess LEGO would have been against showing pictures anyway, since they don't allow to take pics or videos at their fair booth any more.

Technic 2021 Set Discussion
The above posts should be deleted by the authors or mods to prevent further fake news spreading. I am a bit disappointed by zusammengebaut that they posted that, because even for a native speaker it seemed pretty believable at first and quickly escalated to false rumor spreading on other social media channels as well.
