  1. If you're looking for better aftermarket rear tires for close-to-real looks, here are 2 pictures of RC 1.9" tires: Compared to the movie tumbler tires (below) the first one on the left seems to be a perfect match, but I cannot find the name of them.
  2. If you think that the sellers listed before are bastards, look at this "private ebay seller": kibo51-2008 or mairim20 (his other account). He sells/sold over 8 of Designer Han's Moc's in different colors and says he is currently selling "part of his own LEGO collection", "not original LEGO sets, but own creations"... looking at his history it's clear he is doing this as a business. I don't know how much he spends on the bricklink parts, but making 12.000 Euro in about 3 years, is surely profitable, or else he wouldn't keep doing it. He doesn't give credit to Designer Han's creations but merely puts youtube links of the MOC's he stole. He seems to have two accounts, both are from Krefeld, DE, probably because private sellers have a yearly selling limit. At least this seller 7865432auto makes his own MOC's and sells them for a profit. He has some interesting ideas and started first with Unimog attachments like salt spreaders (although stolen from Cypr-21), street cleaners, trailers, snow plows and blowers, wood shredders etc. now I see he is making earth moving construction vehicles and is constantly inventing new MOC's to protect his ideas from copycats like ebay seller eisenbahn-nrw. Having tried to sell a couple of Unimog attachments myself, I just don't think that the time and effort is worth a few Euros profit and I think that stealing someone else ideas for own gain is immoral.
  3. This week I became the proud owner of an almost complete 8479 set, which I bought from ebay for merely 44 Euro with original packaging, inserts and instructions+bar code sheet. The seller said that the code pilot is not working, but upon diss-assembly and inspection it was clear that the PCB wasn't making contact to the batteries. I'm so glad I fixed it. So I tested the functions and am truly impressed by the number of programming functions and sounds that can be simply chained one after another. Very fun to learn elementary robotics. I'm curious how much better the NXT 3.0 is. Too bad the set is not 100% complete and the worst thing is that 5/6 wheels have cracked or almost broken center axle holes (anyone know if this can happen naturally due to own truck weight and long shelf time). It seems the 32020 white rims are quite rare and expensive. I should have bought these, cause the price was ok: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/6-x-Large-LEGO-TECHNIC-WHEELS-TYRES-Tires-62-4-x-20-Volkswagen-VW-Beetle-RARE-/171320147347?pt=UK_Construction_Toys_Kits&hash=item27e379fd93
  4. Anyone wants to trade a new sealed Darth Revan for TC-4? I really want that droid minifigure...

thank you all for the positive feedback. I would love to see your minifig displays as well. Of course I'll get the upcoming Simpsons minifigures, since I'm a big fan of the TV-Series, but they will probably stay on my regular display of minifigures. I have a 3,6 meter tripple row of all my SW, LotR, Hobbit, etc. minifigures. First row sits on regular studded Technic beams the other two rows on gray 2x4 magnets I'll let you calculate how many minifigures I have set up this way and how many magnets I used

Hi. I couldn't find a similar topic, so I started a new one. Let's all show our collection of collectible minifigures and the way we thought of displaying them. Here's my collection of all 12 Series released so far (without GB Olympics of course and Mister Gold :P). I've bought 2 large 48x48 gray plates and glued them to the glass of 40x50cm picture frames. A nice collage of minifigures using the booklets from the CMF bags behind the glass and voila, an eye-catcher for every LEGO enthusiast! I tried to arrange them by type (historic, sports, fantasy, animal costumes, space, etc.), but was limited by the height of the different minifigures to be able to put 8 rows on each plate. What do you think of this idea of a displaying method?
  7. I wrote customer service about the mistake of the A25F hauler. Hopefully they will correct this pretty obvious screw-up. Either change the text and the technical info with the correct A25D / A25E on the box or even better make a 6x6 version B-model :P The latter would probably not come into question because of the extra 2 wheels and tires needed.
  8. After seeing the instructions of 42020 I could at last see what I did wrong at the TechReverse Challenge this year. I am very disappointed about what constructive solutions TLG used for the main model and the inappropriate parts for the B-model. So I give to you the correct LDD files for the Twin-Rotor Helicopter and it's B-model :D 42020.lxf 42020_B-model.lxf
  9. I had to share my happiness with you. Got my 41999 sooner then expected. Ordered on the 5th of August, got Mini-Mech in a huge box on the 8th and the Crawler on the 10th!!! I was afraid that I would not get the set in time as my vacation in Germany is max. 2 weeks, but here I am a proud owner of the best looking Technic Set ever and can go back home with a feeling of accomplishment. On a second note, it makes me sick to see people selling this beauty at over 2000 Euros. Who is stupid enough to give such a price? You can buy a REAL car with that amount of money!
  10. OMG!!! Status changed to shipped! Free beers for everyone on the forum.
  11. It seems that the crawler on S@H is not Sold Out anymore. Every country has them on delay till the 19. September. It's strange that they keep changing the dates.
  12. Yey! my order changed from backordered to in process! The only contries that don't seem to have the set sold out are USA and Canada...
  13. My order changed also from backordered to in process. I hope it will change to "in delivery" soon. (I ordered on the 5th August) It seems that the only countries where the set is not sold out is USA and Canada.
  14. I ordered on the 5th August and just got the Mini-Mech today but my 41999 is still backordered. CS couldn't tell me if I will get the set or not in September or when they will be available. CS said that due to very high demand it could be possible that I won't get one. What do you guys think, should I still have hope for when the 2nd batch gets out?
  15. "Out of stock, expected ship date 22 Aug 2013" ... maybe at this rate the set will be on stock at the end of the day :P The problem is, I don't have time to check every hour the updated delay time. Does anyone know if LEGO sends the order as soon as they have them or if I order the item now, I won't get it before the date stated on the order (20. August)?
  16. Yes, the beginning of resellers wanting to make profit from day 1, while true LEGO fans don't even get to order them from the official store. :((
  17. At 7am German time the set was still available on LEGO shop. 9am and it says out of stock till 19. Sept. How is this possible? Did they not stock up will all 20.000 boxes? Or did the third party ebay sellers ordered all of them? I already see ebay selling these with over 230 Euros. Lucky for those of you who got to order them.

Does anyone know if the LEGO Magnets stick to adhesive magnetic tape perpendicular to the length of the tape? Most tapes have 3-5 magnetic poles and I fear the LEGO Magnets don't stay aligned because they are also magnetic. I want to make a large podium for all my minifigs and put them on display on LEGO Magnets and don't want to buy 30m of tape without knowing for sure if they stick nicely on it.
  19. Series 10 MF is also available on LEGO Shop, but as usual yu can order only a maximum of 16 random bags. http://shop.lego.com/de-DE/LEGO-Minifiguren-Serie-10-71001

While Gandalf was having (Legopard's) "the Last Supper" with Bilbo Baggins and the 12 dwarfes, the Easter Bunny helped by the Hen hid 10 LEGO eggs around the house. Can you find them all?
  21. R0Sch replied to BlueCaret's post in a topic in General LEGO Discussion
Meanwhile in Hobbiton... See if you can find the 10 hidden LEGO eggs!
  22. This design looks way better than the original orange-black-white crawler! Hopefully one will be able to order just the parts needed for the different bodywork. I wouldn't buy the same crawler twice just for the bodylift and winch. It might have been really cool to put some new type of soft LEGO Crawler tires on this new release, not just new wheels (like the aftermarket 1,9'' tires that look so good on the Crawler or Unimog). And what rumpletump correctly noticed, why just put one IR receiver? It would have been so much better to operate the winch be remote control. At least it can be easily modified. Estimating the extra M-Motor and 2x PF lights, plus the new parts, this set will probably cost around 190-200 Euros (Unimog was 190 in Europe).
  23. I saw today the 42000 Grand Prix Racer and the 42007 Motocross Bike, as well as all other new 2013 sets, in a toy shop in Romania. I bought myself all 16 Series 9 CMF's and the 3 new SW Planets... For some reason, on their homepage, they don't show the Grand Prix Racer. http://www.varuna.ro/lego-seturi-de-constructie/technic/2 The 42000 was a heavy and thick box, a little shorter then the flag-ship Technic sets. It's price was 500 LEI meaning about 110 Euro. I don't know if I should wait a few weeks or buy it now. It had a little shelf wear and I'm kinda pretentious about these things. Does anybody know what the retail price for this set is?
  24. I know it's not my LOTR MOC, but I made an account just to show this huge diorama I found on brickshelf. It surely is the best LEGO Helm's Deep recreation there is. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/danielz/c-a-s-t-l-e/978--------HelmsDeep/07z.jpg
