How do you dust between the studs on LEGO?
If you think traditional plate and brick studded surfaces are a pain, than you don't even want to know the hassle that comes from dealing with the overly greebled and detailed G1 Bionicle pieces. They have technic holes as well as far too many decorational openings to the point that I had basically given up hope of cleaning my displayed figures to a near new state. But as others have suggested, I found soft paintbrushes to be such an invaluable cleaning tool for all manner of places that cleaning rags can't reach into. haven't tried makeup application brushes yet, but I think i might invest in those as they seem like they would be easier on the part surfaces.

I like it, especially with how you used different building techniques to create many flag varieties. I've seen a fair number of historical event MOC's and its very mind-blowing to think of how this event will be another iconic moment for people to recreate in art media, including Lego. Is the background just a facade or is it a modular building?

I think I should get back into bionicle building
Kinda hard to give any advice when there's so much in that tub that can't be seen. I myself would be worried about breaking sockets. That's basically the reason I solely MOC with CCBS parts now Anyway, to get the best advice for your situation, you might want to clarify if you want to start with a small, standard, or large size character.

70787 Toa Tahu - remake
Now this MOC is truly worthy of being called a titan version of Tahu. May I ask, do I see some hero-cuff pieces integrated into the foot?

What software is used to build the building instruction of the lego of
everyone so far has given a different answer, so I think the best way to get to the heart of the matter would be to ask a Lego representative or employee. Not sure how someone would go about getting in contact with them, but I'm sure they wouldn't mind sharing. Doesn't seem like a crucial trade secret.

Bionicle 2015 Discussion
Fair point, forgot about that in the three seconds it took me to puke up that theory. If they are rising from the ground though, then what kind of zombies are they then? That is to say what beings or species were they before they died. They have the stature of Toa, though I doubt they'd be that. It seems like Lego is trying to go back to the 2001-2003 atmosphere of Tahu and the Toa being incredibly unique entities. The skull band members are also too big to be protectors. Perhaps they could tie them into whatever new species will most likely be introduced in future years?

Completely stupid theory I came up with and yet don't really believe. What if the reason there are only four blended Toa masks is because the corresponding skull monsters are zombified versions of Kopaka, Pohatu, Lewa, and Onua. They could tailor the story to have Gali and Tahu have to stand alone against the horde, and it work as an excuse for not having their blended mask variants. I actually dont really believe this would be a good story route but I could see them doing that as a story excuse.

I dont follow that logic. If the masks are getting smaller than I would assume that means they are somewhat cost efficient. The big one piece heads never seemed like an cost efficient idea. They are made of multiple parts assembled at the factory and are so specialized that they can't be re purposed unlike Bionicle masks

Bionicle 2015 Discussion
Ok so, I picked up my first batch of sets yesterday on the first. Unfortunately, even after hearing from many of you in the topic about having luck with early purchases at Target, my local one only had LOSS, the one set I definitely know I am not getting. Anyway, picked up Pohatu, Gali, and Tahu from Toys-R-US. After being hyped for them since the first weeks, you can bet I was excited building them. I have to agree with VBBN, Gali is my favorite so far. That new azure color for the shells is just so beautiful. None of the pictures online do it justice compared to what it looks like in person. I was honestly disappointed that the set only came with four of them. I don't understand why they didn't use another one of the 5 length azure shells for her back armor instead of the 3 length trans lite blue one. Its a nice color and I like its use elsewhere in the set, but a three length shell just seems to small for adequate back armor. Pohatu is great, I really have nothing I would have improved on him. After a half hour of tinkering with him, I agree with everyone else who's said that integrating his gear function into his legs would have been awkward and impractical. On the rare occasion I've put the boomerangs on his feet, I've much preferred the front folded configuration seen in his animated character short to the hover board version seen on all the packaging. Now onto Tahu. For obvious nostalgic purposes, this one was really special for me. His build feels good and solid and I appreciate getting six of the new piston add-ons in gold through only one set. Unfortunately however, Tahu is also the set I have the biggest problem with. Unlike the others, his gear function does not have enough friction to keep his arms up when using the large fire swords. Has anyone else encountered this difficulty yet? The fire swords are obviously large pieces so I was wondering why Lego didn't use the excellent four friction gear set up they applied to Gali. Actually tried that mod out for myself this morning, but it didn't seem to really help. Is anyone else having problem's with Tahu's function not having enough friction?

While the magazine scans were interesting for their story information and flavor text concerning the different regions of the island, I can't get over how horribly posed all of the sets were. I don't get why they didn't use the art from the fronts or backs of the boxes. Its like they decided to hastily slap some new poses together ten minutes before the page layout had to be finalized. On the store front, my local Target in northern California is starting to role out the sets. Unfortunately when I went today they only had a few LOSS mistakenly placed where Chima products were supposed to go. I was dead set on getting a bunch of sets today, but considering that LOSS is the one set I know I'm not getting this wave, I had to take a pass.

You're potentially thinking of one of the story serials from 2007 where it was either Gali or Kopaka that used the telescope on Mata Nui and saw objects moving within it. that seems like enough evidence that Greg was planning something for the Red star beyond a jetpack function. But I agree the answer we got, as well as all the other 2010 serials, were a mess.

Hello: A Weird Time Skip
Well that title has multiple meanings. As you can probably tell by looking at my member info, I made this account years ago but just remembered I had it yesterday. For some reason I ended up never using it and just continued browsing the forum as a non-member. I decided to create an account the other day but was sorely confused upon realizing my email was already registered on the site, Then I realized I must have had and old account, and one password recovery process later Im on this old unused account. Anyway I loved browsing this site and cant wait to become more involved with it. I'll probably be hanging around the general, special themes, and action figure forums.

Practise Posting Here!
Ok testing the post. I feel really weird now. I must have made this account at least a year ago but forgot that I had it until yesterday. Its even stranger because I have still been browsing the site as a guest completely oblivious to the fact I had this account. Figured it out once I realized my email was registered here.
