  1. I expect TLG will unveil one or two sets from TFA, probably the Falcon. However they will keep the figures under wraps for now to avoid spoilers. They seem to do similar things with the Superheroes line, for example for the avengers sets the Chitauri weren't revealed initially. For the constraction figures, Jango and Cody seems more likely so that they can be marketed in pairs to duel. Obi-Wan vs. Jango, Cody vs. Grievous, Luke vs. Vader. Boba and the Stormtrooper would have no duelling partner to market with otherwise. They will likely come in wave two though, paired with Han and Leia figures, along with another PT pair. Dooku would be able to reuse the Obi-Wan head so there's a possibility.
  2. No I'm aware of Yoda's lightsaber, the set came with two green sabers, one for each of them. I like the collapsing platform on the left but I can't see any other play features clearly other than the opening doors and the tunnel to throw the emperor down. Maybe theres a hiding place for the lightning like in the Dooku set last year?
  3. I doubt TLG would make that mistake, although saying that my old X-Wing set with Yoda's hut had a green lightsaber for Luke when it should have been blue so you never know...
  4. Well the recent phase 1 helmets are the same mould as the clone wars ones, but Im not sure if the Visor attachment piece is even the right dimensions for the current phase 2 mould regardless of the holes.
  5. It would certainly be a Phase 1 Cody, as TLG wouldnt make a new mould just for a set like this. No Planets sets or microfighters have new mould figures, but some have new prints. However, there was rumoured to be another Utapau set sometime last year when we saw a new Boga mould in one of the Yoda Chronicles videos I believe.
  6. Im not certain but it looked like a woman's hand to me. Also, I was fairly underwhelmed at the trailer, I was hoping for a little more of a plot set up as well as some Vision, but nevertheless. Whats interesting is how greatly a trsiler can impact an opinion of a film. The first AoU trailer was fantastic, but this new one not so much. Personally I wasnt really blown away by the Ant-Man trailer, but I have hope that the film will still be excellent, as he is one of my favourite Avengers. The new trailer did show hulkbuster compared to hulk a bit more clearly, so I dont mind the size difference in the set so much now. Also I dont know what that dropship/tank thing was that Hawkeye was leading the refugees into, but dang I want one.
  7. Well we know there is at least 1 mini-quinjet in the helicarrier as it's visible in the shot from the video. However, I seem to recall there only being two or three quinjets that appear in the whole Avengers film, compared to the fleets of them aboard the CA:TWS carriers, so for that reason we may only get the one.
  8. The original sinister six comprised of Sandman, Electro, Vulture, Doctor Octopus, Mysterio and Kraven the hunter.
  9. I'd say $90 as it looks more Fury Class Interceptor size to me.
  10. This looks fantastic, and I'd bet any money that those wings swivel forwards to end up looking more like a TIE Interceptor. Also the ship is rumoured to belong to so that could explain those guards.
  11. I'd say a TFA system scaled Falcon is guaranteed, along with the new X-Wing variant (or two if they do one of the coloured ones). A UCS AT-AT seems like an odd choice for TLG at this point, as a new Hoth base in system scale will almost certainly be designed to accompany the AT-AT and Snowspeeder from this years system sets. The Falcon seems more likely, especially as TLG is well aware of the demand, as well as the fact that the ship will be getting increased marketing exposure due to it's appearance in TFA.
  12. Anyone spot the transparent headed astromech droid at the end of the first Empire video?
  13. From the description given at comic con, this Yellowjacket isn't an outright villain per se, just someone who puts the Pym particles to a different use. I think he'll be more of an anti-hero in the film, but of course as far as marketing goes he is the villain of the movie.
  14. I think the eyemasked version will look fantastic fighting against the Cap from the Hydra set. The mouthguard version, although not movie accurate, is generic enough a design to be passable with MCU figures. The differences between the comic costumes and the movie costume are minimal, unlike say Hawkeye or Falcon.
  15. The mouthpiece face looks pretty close to the movie version so it will do for me. Also, arm printing.
  16. Nice to see Cap's been back to the tanning salon... Ultimate Ultron, Hawkeye and Vision look very nice, but Ultron Prime looks a bit strange, and I'm still not fond of Thor's bleach blonde hair.
  17. Yeah two spidey sets: 76036 Carnage's Shield Sky Attack 76037 Rhino and Sandman Supervillain Team I dont watch the show so if someone could confirm which set is likely to have the Iron Spider in? Also there was one Ant-Man set listed, simply called 76039 Marvel's Ant-Man Im a bit dissappointed theirs only one, but as long as all the main characters are in (Lang, Pym, Wasp and Yellowjacket) then I'm all in.
  18. I can see them doing a classic Sandman minifig but with tan arms and giant fists to go in the hands... Which would be awesome and very welcome.
  19. I think we are likely to see three Ant-Man sets and three USM sets similar to the last two years. My hopes for the spidey sets are that Sandman is his classic green striped shirt version, and that Rhino if brick built is a bit more of a classic look than the ASM2 mech. i also hope that we do indeed get Gwen and Goblin in a set together with the clock tower, and also Miles Morales spiderman in one of the sets. Based on previous years I think its a pretty safe bet that we can assume that there will be an 'Ant-Man vs. Yellowjacket Final/Ultimate Battle/Duel/Showdown' set for between $13-20, and then a $20-30 scene set and a $40-60 flagship set. Heres hoping we get Michael Douglas, micro-size Ant-Man and Wasp in minifig form! Also I am super stoked for the Winter Soldier polybag, but the fact he's an individual release pretty much confirms that he will be absent from the Helicarrier making it the Avengers Assemble version as opposed to the Winter Soldier version as some had speculated. Personally I never imagined it would be the Cap version, but Im glad that old Bucky has not been forgotten. $350 for the helicarrier seems like a reasonable price for the size, but I still hold out some hope that there will be some minifigs and play features included, even if its just the command centre. A Fury minifig is all but guaranteed, but any others (Hill, Coulson, Plain clothes avengers etc) would be a bonus for me. I do hope that if Coulson is in it that they also include the Destroyer cannon he shoots Loki with.
  20. The Kanan piece is completely wrong for Padawan Anakin, the pony tail is far too long and far down. None of TLG'S current hairpieces really work for him but it could be worse than this one. The angel itself looks okay if a little long and narrow, but the hailfire droid looks pretty nice, and hello custom ARC troopers.
  21. Here's my two cents based on the new pics! Shadow Troopers - looks identical to the prelim, which is awesome, but I'm not quite sure what to make of it given the EU's current status. The speeder looks sweet though. Imperial Troop Transport - This set is fantastic! I don't even mind the rebels stormies so this is a must for me, multiples on the cards. Geonosis Troopers - Again, not quite sure where this is coming from, and I am a little disappointed that it's just recolours of existing troopers. Probably won't be getting this one. Senate Commando Troopers - This set is actually very impressive! The helmets use the CW prints but the chest design looks PT so I'm not sure. The turret looks super though, and the fig selection (1 Officer, 3 Troopers) is fantastic, although I may need two of this one to get an even number of each type. Ezra's Speeder Bike - Super disappointed in this set. Sabine looks so bland and although her hair is nice, where is her helmet? The trooper is the wrong variant and the attempt at Ezra's light saver hilt is just plain lazy. Finally, I realise that this I likely based on concept art but still, all of the speeders were white, so I don't know where this green and orange is supposed to have come from. T-16 Skyhopper - I personally have no interest in this set but it looks okay, and the figures look passable. The womp rat is pretty lazy though. AAT - What happened to those new bent droid arms from the prelims?! The set looks pretty much the same, which is okay but I wish they had extended the wing turrets out a little, and put a sticker on the front to show the torpedo tubes. Also, I think a Battle Droid Commander would have been better than the regular droid. TIE Advanced Prototype - Another fantastic set. The figs look amazing, especially the inquisitor, and though I would have preffered another grey officer the printing looks awesome. The ship itself is cool as well, and I dig the folding wings, as well as that cockpit printing. Battle Droid Troop Carrier - What a surprise! This set looks absolutely awesome, even though the last one only came out in 2011 I think, and doesn't look too different. However, the fact that this thing is probably bigger and holds more droids than this years MTT is just laughable. Looks like 12 regular droids and two pilots. The gungan looks nice but again mostly similar to the previous one. Another missed opportunity for Tarpals on a Kaadu but never mind. AT-DP - Really awesome walker but why so much yellow! It really ruins the whole look for me. Aside from that however, the build looks very good, and Agent Kallus is outstanding. The new troopers aren't too bad either but why didn't they just use the helmet Ezra had in the Phantom? They look to be the same design so I don't know why they went this route. Wookiee Gunship - Seen it already, but somehow the box art makes it look very long and narrow. It looks alright but I won't be getting it. Snowspeeder - I'm not a fan of micro fighters but the pilot for this one does look nice with the grey helmet. Homing Spider Droid - This one does look super cute, and another Geonosis Droid is always welcome. Republic Gunship - The design of this is just off, even for Chibi, but who cares when there's a Phase I pilot in a £10 set right? AT-AT - Again, not really a fan of the design, looks like a tortoise. Vulture Droid - This actually looks really nice, and would probably scale well with ships like the Republic Frigate from 2011. Looking forward to see those last three sets! Thanks J2G!
  22. Ooh a red visor on the Inquisitor fig... And that hilt! I'm a little worried that the helmet being included means that the collar piece won't be as pronounced as it should be though.
  23. Anyone notice the new bent gun arms on the battle droids? Also, £50 is steep for the Starfighter, makes me think there maybe a little more to it than just the ship.
  24. The microseries did introduce some things that became canon, such as the V-19 Torrent, so it's not too far out for the Azure Angel to be made into a set.
  25. Interesting that there still seems to be two set numbers missing... Im guessing the hailfire droid will be the companion set to geonosis troopers, but whether they be EPII or CW remains to be seen. Hopefully that starfighter is the blue one from the original CN CW shorts, as that is a cool looking ship. Also just a side note, as Ezra's speeder is the last number, but no doubt one of the smaller sets, it was almost definitely a last minute addition, which means that it will probably be somewhat inaccurate to the scene it represents. i.e. Mandalorian Speeder was a last minute set, which is why Darth Maul had the innacurate costume and legs.
