  1. 5. DarkDragon - 3
  2. This DVD is a short Friends movie, I believe 22 minutes long. In the Netherlands it was send with the Lego Club magazine to the clubmembers. Just not every member received one(don't ask me why). In my family my daughter and one of my two sons received one. The DVD can be played in several languages. It is a really Friendly movie, very very Friendly.... (the kids like it)
  3. Congrats to all the winners! All great entries!

    Cute! I like it!
  7. Thanks you all for the nice comments! The short movie I made is now visible (see above). @ streifen: it is not special a buffet car, but both of the passengercars have 4 containers aboard, and there is some food and drinks stored @ Vincent Kessels: the rounded ends are inspired by "the Polar Express". That train is (since years) on my wishlist to build once (just I don't know when... but: allready busy collecting parts I think I need for that project)
  8. Here is my entry to the Summer of Friends building contest for the category 1. The Friends Funny Flowers Train ( 7-8 wide 4,5 volt ) This train does not need coals, this train needs flowers! The train is motorized by a 4.5 V trainmotor. Necessary tools are aboard. The battery wagon is covered with Clickets photoframes. I also used some Paradisa and Belville parts. Two identical passenger wagons with a firefly that lightens the wagons (Yes – I know it is a ladybug – but just imagine….) And finally a special wagon for the animals. Why did I build this train? After launching the Friends series, my 12 year old daughter was very enthusiastic. For that reason I wanted to build a special Friends train for her, because of she rarely had a profit of mom’s hobby (instead of her younger brothers who are also train fanatics like me) I started to collect some Friends sets who I needed for the train that was in my imagination. Then it has to wait - there was another running project which I wanted to finish first, before start building this Friends train. Unfortunately my daughter announced two weeks ago that she didn’t want her Lego anymore (except a few things!) – her dark age has started. Therefore I changed my work in progress, and I started immediately building this train – hopefully if my daughter would like it a bit – maybe there is still a little bit of liquid Lego in her veins? During the building process she was very helpfully with sorting bricks and giving good advice . And although she won’t play with this train, she liked building the Friends sets! (before I broke them down for using the parts). Because of I remembered I read once about a Friends contest – here is my entry! Building this train was not for nothing… I hope you all like this train! More pictures on my Brickshelf: link Edit: Movie!

  12. Hello everybody, My (Lego)name is Trijntje, in the Dutch language is that a girls name, but spoken in Dutch it sounds like "little train". I'm already 40 years playing with Lego, I never had a "dark age". I have also 3 kids, 2 boys from 8 and 10 years old, real Legofanatics and a 12 year old daughter, since a short time turned into her dark age. My first Lego set was Set 349-1 Swiss Chalet. My favourite theme is trains, and I like 4,5 volt trains still the most. My first train was the 116. Beside 4,5 volt I also have PF trains. Excuse me for my way of writing English, I find it a very difficult language and I hope you understand what I am writing here...
