  1. I sure hope so. My fingers are crossed.
  2. Yes, I'll follow up. Personally, I am more concerned with the risk that anything that already has been approved past the 10K point may be rejected when it comes time to select the final approved sets.
  3. I tried to submit a Bluecoat Fortress to LEGO Ideas last week and received the following feedback today: What's odd is that there is no mention of the Pirates of Barracuda Bay set; it's simply a Pirates related set. So, it seems any future Pirates themed ideas may be declined outright...

I know it's not the same, but I've also created an updated version of 6276 - Eldorado Fortress: I had to build up the base using BURPs since TLG doesn't produce the raised baseplates anymore.
  5. I'm hopeful they will offer one or two minifig sets like the recent 40372: Police MF Accessory or 40373: Fairground Accessory sets, except with a mix of pirates and/or soldiers. Really, I'm thinking of something like 1989's 6251: Pirate Minifigures set.
  6. I wish. I'd even be fine if they released more Bluecoat sets. But I wonder if the stone sculpture from the 6262 : King Kahuka’s Throne Islanders set is actually a clue to an upcoming, updated adversary...
  7. Interesting that the recently leaked Hammerhead shark isn't included. It must be dedicated to the Creator 3-in-1 pirate ship.
  8. I'm actually quite surprised by this... If I go to my local Target - there are plenty of each of the other types. But the Star Wars area is bare or only has a few sets.
  9. If you do have trouble you can try ordering from Barnes and Noble. I order mine from them on Sunday and received it yesterday with free shipping as a B&N Member. If you're not a B&N Member - you can always ask to ship to a local store and they will hold if for you.
  10. #4 sounds like it could be the main character.
  11. Hmmm... None leftover for me. I two applied on steps 185 (page 134) and steps 381 (page 220) in the instruction manual.
  12. My wife likes being prepared for large purchases and has asked me many times since the UCS Millennium Falcon set was announced whether or not we're getting it. I have continually told her no and that I would rather spend that amount of money on a UCS ISD, hoping that one would be released. Over the past few months I've been not-so-subtly letting her know that the UCS ISD announcement was imminent and that it was rumored to be $700 USD. So, she's expecting us to get it. But after seeing it, I just don't know... I was really hoping for an interior and some very unique minifigures - with some prints that are actually accurate for the time. If this is actually the Devastator (seen at the beginning of A New Hope), then the Officer shouldn't have a Lieutenant rank insignia from the Empire Strikes Back. Commander Praji would have been an ideal choice but a Moff or Admiral from A New Hope would have been great too. Even the Officer seen on for a few seconds during Rogue One would have worked. And why does the printing on the Imperial Technician look so terrible in the official image? Is that really what it looks like out of the box?
  13. I really don't know what to say about this wave. Altogether, I'm not at all impressed and don't see anything that's necessarily a "must buy". I don't even think I'll get the A-Wing, even though I'm usually a sucker for those. Maybe I'll wait for a sale... The characters I'm most interested in are the Knights of Ren and the Mandalorian figures. But I can't justify buying a new/different version of a shuttle I already own just for the former but maybe I'll fold on the walker.
  14. Well, that's... disappointing. On another note: are there any new pieces being used for the 75244: Tantive IV set, not counting the printed minifigure parts or new colors? I've looked through the pictures but don't see anything.
  15. The sets look pretty good but I don't see a compelling reason to get any of them. And why are they back to the old helmets for the Snowspeeder?

Yeah, it's not like I have a huge interest in trees or anything. I just think they go wrong more often than right in LEGO sets. The only brick-built trees I can even think of that look good to me are those from 10247 : Ferris-Wheel:

I'm surprised by the severity of criticism as I was immediately pleased seeing the pictures for the first time earlier this week. I especially like the design around the roof sections, the Octan branding & retro-styled colors for the garage section, and the truck looks very nice. I was wondering if my opinion was due to a LEGO brand / Modular Buildings halo effect or bias. But I've taken a look at a lot of different reviews and pictures this week and still feel that it's a solid Modular based on the overall aesthetic, building technique, layout, size, and scenes within. Plus, it's not like there aren't other Modular sets that I don't like very much (10190 : Market-Street and 10232 : Palace-Cinema). In fact, I only really have two issues with the model itself: I think the gaps between the wall sections are fine but I wish there weren't dark and medium stone grey parts among the dark orange within those gaps. And even that is a minor gripe since the LEGO group obviously can't make every part in every color. I don't like the tree at all. Then again, I've never found the trees in the modular sets to be particularly nice, especially the tree in 10251 : Brick-Bank. A couple of things I'm indifferent about are the choice of minifigures. None of them seem outstanding but I'm not interested in these sort of sets for the minifigure selection anyway. While the price tag is a bit high, it still seems reasonable to me. The build just seems larger than most of the recent modulars (excluding 10255 : Assembly Square) and part count makes sense. I guess I won't know for sure until it's built and sitting next the rest of them...
  19. As soon as I saw it I knew I was going to pre-order it. It looks great (such an iconic location) and has some cool features. So, I took the plunge this morning on https://shop.lego.com/ to earn points and to qualify for the 40300 : Han Solo Mudtrooper. There are really only three things I would have preferred to be different in the set: The inclusion of Vaneé - Vader's cloaked attendant from Rogue One Made the set a larger Master Builder Series set - like 75222 : Betrayal at Cloud City and included the platform/area where Vader meets with Director Krennic Added a light brick so that the lava flow would glow
  20. As a fan of the 75098 : Assault on Hoth set, I really like this one as well. I had an internal struggle for years about buying the Death Star (10188 / 75159). Ultimately, I decided it was a little too "one note" and bought several of the characters on bricklink.com. Don't ask me why I didn't feel the same about an almost all white Assault on Hoth... Otherwise, this set really appeals to me for many reasons: ESB is my favorite Star Wars film by far and there have been far too few Bespin-based sets over the years. The Minifigure selection is great. Is Han the first Star Wars character with dual molded legs? The mini vehicles look great. Others seem to be bothered by the choice of red over orange for the Cloud Car. I don't have the same issue; the vehicle in the movie is such a dark orange it's almost red anyway. And Slave I looks fantastic. I prefer playsets to static UCS displays. The ability to access all parts of the set are great and I think the size of the areas is good considering you get so many rooms/scenes from the film. Variety in design and look of the different parts of the set. Lando's cape. I'll probably be picking this up as soon as it goes on sale.
  21. First impression: Wow! That looks amazing! ...and how cool is the side printing on Han's legs?
  22. I believe it’s exclusive to Walmart and LEGO brand stores in the US.
  23. FYI: 75217: Imperial Conveyex Transport is listed on the back of the August 2018 Store Calendar.
  24. As far as I can tell they are from a video on Youtube. The pics have since been posted to the LEGOLeaks Discord.
