LDraw PDF instructions for Lamborghini Aventador
stefan_betula_pendula replied to Kumbbl's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingIt looks nice with the yellow rims. I know it's a bit tricky but try to make the lines of the roof a bit more curved. I highly recommend using pneumatic hoses made of polyurethane with diameter 4x2,5mm. Don't use pneumatic hoses which are as soft as the original lego ones, btw polyethylene is too stiff. Furthermore the hose over the rear wheel has to be put 2 studs inside the technic panel.

Lamborghini Aventador LP 720-4 50th Anniversario
stefan_betula_pendula replied to stefan_betula_pendula's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI mentioned that I have already known the Aventador of Francisco Hartley and he made a great model. But I also said that his Aventador was the reason that I built the limited edition and tried to make my model as different as possible. Sometimes this succeeded better and sometimes worse. However, in my starting post I gave all people the credits they deserve. I have no idea... I have to check this.

Lamborghini Aventador LP 720-4 50th Anniversario
stefan_betula_pendula replied to stefan_betula_pendula's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingOk, so please let me know which things could I make better!? To be honest I can't see too much empty space without reduce functionality. I tried to use technic panels #13/#14 instead of #3/#4 for the trunk but this would harm the steering angle. Furthermore it's technic and not model team.

Lamborghini Aventador LP 720-4 50th Anniversario
stefan_betula_pendula replied to stefan_betula_pendula's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingThanks for all your kind words! These are the third party pneumatic hoses I have used: http://www.ebay.de/i...=item2ec805b7ba It was really helpful and it's a great tool! Difficult to say... The height of the fixing points for the shock absorbers are the same because of the space I needed over the axles for the body work. The rear axle uses 4 shock absorbers instead. There are only 11L, 14L and 19L softaxles available at Bricklink and these lenghts don't cover the the needs for the Aventador. Maybe I could use rigid hoses as an alternative but the availabilty referring to a few sellers is not really better and this could cause a lot of orders.

Lamborghini Aventador LP 720-4 50th Anniversario
stefan_betula_pendula replied to stefan_betula_pendula's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingThank you very much for the positive feedback! Yes, you can replace all pneumatic hoses with original soft axles. But referring to yellow third party hoses are much cheaper... The black parts of the hood are 10 technic panels #1/#2 and 6 1x2 slopes with 4 slots.

Lamborghini Aventador LP 720-4 50th Anniversario
stefan_betula_pendula posted a post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingHello everyone, I would like to show you my latest MOC, a Lamborghini Aventador LP 720-4 50th Anniversario in the scale 1:10. Since the real life release of the Aventador I’m really fascinated by this car. The model has about 2.470 parts (without ribbed hoses, rigid hoses and soft axles) and it took me 3 month to build it. The model features: - Full independent suspension - V12 engine - 5+R all wheel drive transmission gearbox (the gearbox is a modified version of the gearbox from Crowkiller’s Vampire GT) - Functional steering wheel - Opening leaf doors with damped shock absorbers - Opening hood I used a blueprint of the Aventador and Sariel’s Scaler Tool for scaling the model which both were very useful. The whole model was designed in LDD in the first way. I already know the well-designed and functional Aventador of Francisco Hartley and I tried to build my version as different as possible which wasn’t easy when looking at some details. That’s also the reason why I decided to build the limited edition that differs a lot from the normal version of the Aventador. Fortunately I got around of the use of the horrible expensive Technic Connector #4 in yellow. Instead of original soft axles I used third party pneumatic hoses. More pictures as well as building instructions are available in my Bricksafe Gallery. That’s all, I want to say thank you to all who gave me inspiration and I hope you like it. Regards, Stefan

[MOC] Hot Rod - Lucky 13
stefan_betula_pendula replied to sm 01's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingA great amount of functions and details! The turn signals are really innovative and without using any custom electrics!

[WIP] [MOC] Zetros
stefan_betula_pendula replied to Pat-Ard's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingAmazing, lime with a touch of white and black details! I think the colour combination couldn't be better. I hope the trailer you're planning will meet the level of this monster! Could just be a bit expensive...

stefan_betula_pendula replied to Pat-Ard's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingYou hit the shape of the cab very well! I'm looking forward to the final colour. I think this one could also beat your U4000!

Audi RS 5 DTM
stefan_betula_pendula replied to Lipko's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingLooks really good with black rims! It seems the rear of the car doesn't hang that much like on the pictures of Lipko. Do you made any changes or maybe Lipko can explain what's the reason for that? I also would like to build this MOC, but I'm a bit afraid the rear of the car would touch the ground.

Duke Coupe from Dirt: Showdown (RWD Hot Rod Offroader) [Picture Heavy]
stefan_betula_pendula replied to marco768's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingNice curves and details on the exhaust! I also like the difference in the size of the tires. For my taste the wheelbase could be a bit shorter.

Effe's MOC Corner
stefan_betula_pendula replied to efferman's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingWhen looking at the original black is closest, but why not using gray ones to distinguish between the brackets and the wiper blades.

Effe's MOC Corner
stefan_betula_pendula replied to efferman's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingNice detail with the windscreen wipers! For my U400 I used a Bar 6L with Stop Ring with a diameter of ~3mm instead of the technic axle. Rigid hoses may also work. But as you I found no alternative to replace the connectors.

stefan_betula_pendula replied to Pat-Ard's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingReally nice! I just wondered not seeing any other images of your U4000 except the picture with efferman's U4000. I think this Unimog is one of your best and it seems you built it very fast!?
