Review: 21121 Minecraft Desert Outpost
Was I the only one who saw the box and thought it must come with 1x6 or 1x8 tiles for the water? As for the set itself, at least it gives young builders a decent number of basic bricks, but it's expensive for a parts pack. Not a set I would buy.

My Myer only had 1 Palace left by the time I arrived and it was only 9:15. The $159 Palace cinema box towers over the $179.00 Detective office so I can see why that's the better seller.

Buying parts from the Customer service
I believe the intent is probably to only provide a handful of replacement parts to a set you already own. Lego should really clarify exactly what this can and can't be used for though. I've seen confusion and arguements about it on 3 different Lego fan forums.

REVIEW: 70100 Ring of Fire
The transparent pieces that make up the ring of fire look useful. The rest isn't very interesting to me. As has been said, it's an easy to get minifigure, which lowers it's appeal. Good review whitefang. I do have a further question about the speedorz. Does the bottom of the speedorz scrape along the floor? It looks like it would scratch up your Lego pretty quickly if it does. PS. I would refer to the thing that starts the speedorz as a pull cord or zip cord. But maybe Lego have an official name too, I'm not sure.

Review: 70004 Wakz' Pack Tracker
Can't see myself buying this one. Not really my sort of set. I don't like the plastic wheels The minifgures are nice though. Really like the new little wing pieces. Kids seem to love those firing cannon things. My cousins were obsessed with the one in my Lunar Limo. Far better than the flick firing kind.

My Target has also put out hobbit sets over the last week. $19 for the little gollum set is expensive, but wargs for $99 seemed borderline offensive to me. I was also at Myer today. They had the 20% off toys/Lego going. I originally went there looking for the Winter Village Bakery advertised for $69.99 but they appeared to be already long gone. Epic Dragon Battle was at $150, but again, no stock at my Myer. So I settled on just buying an NRG spinner for this mornings shopping.

Toy plastic "Encapsulation" Services.... a Rip-Off....
I think it's only ridiculous for more modern stuff, where the seller is clearly try to "manafacture" a collectable. Brickenvy seems to be at the forefront of this madness allowing you to buy an afa graded Ewok Attack! On an old set though, 20+ years old I see it in a totally different light. If it were cheaper and didn't involve international postage both ways, I've got a few that would be nice to protect properly. But I see them more as custom case makers than actual graders. Thats the main part I care about. Also acrylic sheeting (perspex) is more expensive than I and many others may have expected. It's more expensive than glass and could be very pricey if you wanted a nice thick sheet that could do all 6 sides of a 1000+ piece lego box.

People are bidding TOO HIGH on my Lego!
Good ideas ^ In future I will be sure to include the box dimensions and weight.

People are bidding TOO HIGH on my Lego!
Mods please move this for me if I have posted in the wrong section. I have sold a few Lego sets over the year on Ebay but this is the first time I have been worried about the outcome of the auction. I listed the Minecraft set 6 days ago and people have goon crazy. I realised this is currently a high demand set, but it has gotten ridiculous. Over 40 watchers and bids beyond $160! I think it must be parents buying for gifts or something. Either way I do not believe that is a fair price. The set is a tiny little cube full of tiny little pieces. I personally wouldn't pay over $40 for it. I think buyers must not have seen it in person and are expecting something much more substantial for that amount. So what is the buyer going to think when the tiny little package arrives in the mail? Im worried they will leave negative feedback. So has anyone here sold one of these before? And do you think it is ethical to sell an in production set for over 3 times RRP?

LEGO Castle 2013
Well even though I own a few LOTR sets myself, I really don't like the theme because I see it as responsible for the "death" of Kingdoms. Not only that, it represents the decline of unlicensed themes. Even though thats how I felt, I wouldn't just go into every LOTR thread and tell them how bad there favourite theme sucks. Nobody wants to hear that.

Tomorrow (Black Friday), Toys R' Us has 40% all lego
Yes, posters here often mention the inflated RRP's @ TRU. Before buying any set I check shop@home Australia, then shop@home USA and finally TRU. But the Australian RRP's are so ludicrous that TRU's bumped up RRP + postage is still cheaper! Skyhawk uploaded the image. It's in the 2nd reply.

Tomorrow (Black Friday), Toys R' Us has 40% all lego
Im not American, so perhaps not so familiar with the US retail climate but I read that catalogue as "sets on this page are 40% off". 3 reasons why I'm assuming that. 1) 40% is simply too larger discount. $90 dollar modulars? Would they really do that? It's unheard of here, but I know you guys do get way better deals. 2) Every set listed on that page has been overstocked or selling poorly. 3) Toys R Us are fast becoming notorious for misleading "deals" and "sales". From any other retailer I would take the 40% off lego at face value, but I've been burnt before at TRU online. Still hoping Im wrong. Im also assuming this is instore only? Saw nothing about it on the website.

Buying LEGO from other countries on-line stores
So I read on brickset that all lego items on amazon Italy are now restricted. So that means nobody outside Italy, San Marino and Vatican City can buy them. I said three days ago that the items change and there was no blanket policy for all lego. However it looks like I was incorrect when it comes to Amazon.it. If anyone outside Italy can buy from there, please correct me.

Lego are small!
When I first got back into Lego I thought everything was small also. Even the sets I had as a child that were once big now didn't look that way. So part of it was just that I was far bigger and the scale had changed. Of course now as an adult with more money to spend the only limit on model size is moc skills and the thickness of my wallet!

Opening sealed antique sets - wonderful or painful ?
Depends how old. 4 years is about the cut off. I generally wouldn't open anything older than that.

LEGO® CUUSOO 空想 - Turn your model wishes into reality
I was posting a bit harshly I guess. I just feel that all the half baked ideas clog up Cuussoo, preventing so, so many good ones from receiving votes from people that would actually buy them. Yes my "pretentious" plan for voting is very extreme and elitest. I was just interested to hear what people thought. I must also admit Cuusoo has improved since they changed the rules a few months ago. With the current system any business on the entire planet that has waiting customers could push through their cuusoo proposal. Offer a small discount to customers who quickly vote on the handily provided ipad. Even if it doesn't pass review thats loads of valuable advertising. I had no idea what the serenity was and had never heard of purdue university before. Now Im familiar with both.

Buying LEGO from other countries on-line stores
There is no rhyme or reason as to what a certain amazons may ship internationally. It's one of the biggest mysteries in Lego shopping. So you can't make blanket statements that amazon.xx is now posting to country xx. Infact what can be sent internationally changes! Most commonly, brand new sets at steep discounts are often excluded from international. You may be able to get international postage one day, then something changes and international is no longer available. I have only ever gotten Amazon US to send me a single licensed set for example, yet I have tried many times. Amazon.fr seem to have the most available for international. Spain and Italy have really good specials but It can but often isn't available for internationals. I am not sure if the postage rules are manually set by someone for each item or if it is decided by a computer. I once bought a MMV on Amazon USA for $90. I said it was a good deal and my mum said I should buy one for my two cousins. I get back on an hour and a half later, it's stil in stock, but not available for international post anymore!

LEGO® CUUSOO 空想 - Turn your model wishes into reality
I want Lego to put the Purdue Pete model into production. Then when they struggle to sell 30 units they can send Purdue university a big fat check for their 1% profit. Except it isn't a check, it's an invoice and they must pay Lego 1% of the losses. This university garbage really makes me rage. Too many cuusoo projects have no concept whatsoever of mainstream appeal. University mascots have about as much appeal to the mainstream as a model of my parents home. Even if I thought my parents home MOC is good, I wouldn't put it on CuuSoo because I know that Cuusoo is for new ideas to be put into production, not a place to show off my MOCs. And most importantly - Because no one else would want it! I know this would be highly controversial but It would only take two steps to clean up Cuusoo once and for all. 1) NO LICENSED IDEAS. Example: Your MOC based on super mario bros may be nice but it's effectively fanart. Despite the fact you made the model, no one actually wants that part. They just want Nintendo properties, the part that isn't yours to sell. Lego would be nuts to give anyone 1% of the profits from a licensed model. They already know we want stuff like Zelda, they don't need to pay anyone to tell them that. 2) Cuusoo accounts tied to users lego store/vip account. Now this goes totally against the one person = one vote but hear me out. I want votes weighted by amount spent. I have only spent $70 on shopping at home this year. So thats, say 1.5 votes. University student who has spent $0 and is only voting out of obligation counts as 0.1 votes. Top 5% of spenders count as 10 votes. What do you think? I realise this would be bad for kids as most would only count as 0.1 of a vote. But I can't see any other way to separate the biggest AFOLs from those who wouldn't notice the difference between Lego and Megabloks.

Zuriel Castle
That nice blue water looks good enough to jump into. I also like the use of the CMF stands on the drawbridge.

What do you guys do with Crown knights?
^ Cool army. I only have about 5 crown knights, but lots of the newer kingdoms knights. So they are a small group of travellers from the old world (castle 2007), sent by their king to explore the new world (kingdoms 2010). They are diplomatically neutral to Dragons and Lion knights.

LEGO Castle 2013
That would be strange and really annoying to me. Kings Castle 7946 is the only castle I own. I've got two copies because thats the only unlicensed castle available since 2010 when I got back into lego. Seems like a waste when there's 30 years of castle history yet they pick one from just two years ago. But if it means more Kingdoms branded stuff then I'm happy either way. Very mysterious and unexpected this new castle news.
