  1. I'm experiencing it on-and-off now. Sometimes it works as it always did and sometimes I have to disconnect and then reconnect when back in. I guess it's on-going for now. ~A.S.
  2. Wahey, we're operational once more. Very good job by the BL admins on getting it back up so quickly and keeping everyone in the loop ~A.S.
  3. I agree with the suggestion that Lego goes back to the thumb-tab box designs. I imagine they might be a bit harder/more expensive to produce than the current sealed-tape boxes but they are much more secure and trustworthy. Not only that, but they're more fun! I remember as a kid my favourite part of getting a new Lego set was pushing away that thumb-tab ~A.S.
  4. Sorry to double-post but I just thought I'd mention that the site has now switched to an 'emergency maintenance' message However, thankfully we can get an idea of what's happening on BL's Twitter feed. ~A.S.

I believe that custom craft are allowed, so long as they are set in the SW universe. OT: Nice work! I like the large cockpit and the angle of the wings. They make the ship appear both fast and nimble as well as bulky and intimidating ~A.S.
  6. Yeah I just checked again and I'm getting that now. Maybe it just took a little while to set up across the network. Hopefully it'll be back up within the next half hour or so then. ~A.S.
  7. Very nice! I love the wood panel technique you've used for the door and parts of the walls, though I'd hate to think how many tiles that used up. The interior is also especially nice and luxurious. Overall the MOC gives off the impression of a rather well-off country house. Lovely work! ~A.S.
  8. I'm still getting the original error here in England, along with the page taking a while to load. Anybody else still experiencing this? ~A.S.
  9. Oh, it seems I'm mistaken then. Still, perhaps they're bringing it back online area by area. I'm fairly sure the fix will hit where you live soon enough most likely within the next 24 hours. ~A.S. EDIT: scrap that, the problem has just returned. Back to offline mode it is then...
  10. I really hope it's nothing as serious as a database corruption or hard drive failure. Not only would that severely impact the running of the site but also of most of our community. Hopefully this will be sorted soon enough. Still, it has been somewhat eye-opening for me as to how much I actually depend on Bricklink as a resource, both for ordering and checking things. I suppose Peeron will suffice for the latter. ~A.S.
  11. Everything seems to be working fine now. I can use it online and it loads as per normal. Glad that's fixed! ~A.S.
  12. Was just about to make a thread about this. Yeah, it does appear to be having some problems. I'm starting to find it quite amusing (in the face of annoyance) how when I need to use LDD that goes down, when I've made the digital mock up and go to buy the pieces Bricklink goes down... I wonder if there'll be some sort of mass-strike for postal service workers when I eventually place my orders?? Guess we just have to wait while they drag those pesky gremlins out of the wires kicking and screaming.. ~A.S.
  13. Got a work-around for those of us whose computers allow for manually connecting/disconnecting without having to turn off the modem/router (though you could do this if you have to it'd just be a lot of bloody hassle!). 1.Disconnect from your network. 2. Open LDD. 3. Re-connect to your network Bingo. ~A.S.
  14. Just disconnected from my network and attempted to load LDD but the problem persisted. I think the best we can do now if we wish to continue designing is to resort to the old technical drawing! I knew those classes would come in handy one day... ~A.S.
  15. Same here! I'm halfway through a MOC and ran out of money so I was experimenting in LDD to construct it while I get funds. I go out for a few hours and whaddya know... Ah well, should be sorted soon! ~A.S.
  16. Yes, this is pretty much across the board right now, ongoing discussion is in the Troubleshooting thread It's probably a server issue according to our friendly regulator, and hopefully TLG are already well into fixing whatever has caused it. Hang tight! ~A.S.
  17. Anybody here thinking of sending TLG a message regarding this? ~A.S.
  18. Oh well that's alright then. I was worried about it just being my computer but if it's a wider problem I can hold off on carrying on with my designing. ~A.S.
  19. I am having this exact problem just now. I used LDD a lot last night, continued designing today, and then when I went out for a few hours I came back and this happened every time. I've uninstalled, re-installed, changed .ini files, properties, anything and everything I can think of, and no luck. The only thing I can think that I did wrong was I started using advanced rendering settings, and experienced crashes, but after I turned them off all was fine again. Any help? ~A.S.
  20. I wonder if you have any photos of all the series put together? That sure would be a sight to see! As always, great work -A.S.

Blimey, what an amazing attention to detail. I must say Taz that when I saw your first few MOCs utilising this brick technique I wasn't too impressed because I thought, personally, that it took away from the whimsical air of Lego, and was a bit too realistic. Well, now I'm ashamed I even thought that, because it looks absolutely fantastic. I just love how natural and flowing the whole thing is, as one building merges into another and blends seamlessly with the landscape. I most certainly think I've learnt a lesson in building today after seeing this, and await your next build excitedly. -A.S. (oh, and that Zombie must have been holding it in for quite some time! )
  22. I remember buying this back in the early 2000s as a kid. I still think it was one of the best purchases I ever made. Hours and hours were spent zooming the planes around, checking in baggage, refueling the 'copter. It's a pleasure to see it again and in such a nice review, too. Thanks very much! -A.S.
  23. Wow, it's lovely! Royally brilliant -A.S.
  24. I've always wondered what to use that bucket of pieces for! Great work! -A.S.
  25. Perfect, thank you ever so much. I'm now torn between two bridge designs but that's another matter all together. Cheers, mrklaw! -A.S.
