[REVIEW]: 30605 Finn (FN-2187) (polybag)
Hi Today a short review of minifig polybag set. First a few official information 30605 Finn (FN-2187) Year: 2016 Number of parts: 5 Minifgures: 1 Price: promotional item This is quite rare SW polybag so far. Its current availability is unknown, you can only find it on internet auction now. THE POLYBAG Standard polybag packing, showing Finn in his Stormtrooper outfit on the desert of Jakku. Artwork with Kylo Ren as in this year other LEGO SW boxes. Front IMG_0814 by Marek, on Flickr Back IMG_0815 by Marek, on Flickr CONTENT There are only 5 parts, 4 minifig parts plus standard SW blaster. Unique to this polybag and to minifig are legs and torso. Hair and head are the same as in other Finn minifig from the Episode 7 Millennium Falcon and the Battle on Takodana IMG_0816 by Marek, on Flickr IMG_0819 by Marek, on Flickr In the polybag comes also small folded poster showing gallery of 2016 sets and minifigs. IMG_0817 by Marek, on Flickr IMG_0818 by Marek, on Flickr THE COMPLETE MODEL - MINIFIG As the polybag comes only with minifig plus blaster so there is almost nothing to build, except the minifig which is superb in my opinion. Showing Finn in his stormtooper armor but cover with dirt stains from Jakku sands. The polybag is I think a very nice addition to SW minifig collection, the only minor flaw which I notice is that it could also consist the stormtrooper helmet for Finn. Front printing and the first face expresion IMG_0820 by Marek, on Flickr Front printing and the second face expresion IMG_0822 by Marek, on Flickr Back printing IMG_0823 by Marek, on Flickr Finn in action IMG_0831 by Marek, on Flickr I hope you like it.

[REVIEW]: 30277 First Order Star Destroyer (polybag)
Hi Today another review of small polybag set. It is a 2016 Star Wars polybag mini model representing new First Order Star Destroyer First a few official information 30277 First Order Star Destroyer Year: 2016 Number of parts: 56 Minifgures: 0 Price: promotional item This is currently the rarest SW polybag from three released this year so far. Its availability is unknown, you can only find it on internet auction now. THE POLYBAG Standard polybag packing, showing on front Destroyer in action. Artwork this time with Kylo Ren as in this year SW boxes. Front IMG_0293 by Marek, on Flickr Back IMG_0294 by Marek, on Flickr CONTENT Inside we have pile of mainly plates and wedge plates (56 parts plus 6 extra) and the instruction. IMG_0295 by Marek, on Flickr Instruction Comes folded as in others polybag sets. IMG_0708 by Marek, on Flickr Parts Not so diverse in colors. Mainly black and both shades of gray plus some trans yellow and trans light blue. All part are common, there is no rare or interesting part in this polybag. IMG_0296 by Marek, on Flickr THE COMPLETE MODEL So here we have the new First Order Star Destroyer. New construction in Destroyers family: Resurgent-class Star Destroyer. This monster is much bigger than old Imperial class, it’s almost 3km long (2915.81 m exactly). http://starwars.wiki..._Star_Destroyer But this one is small, very small representation of it. IMG_0709 by Marek, on Flickr IMG_0710 by Marek, on Flickr IMG_0711 by Marek, on Flickr IMG_0712 by Marek, on Flickr IMG_0713 by Marek, on Flickr IMG_0714 by Marek, on Flickr Extra parts left IMG_0297 by Marek, on Flickr SUMMARY I think that in this scale this mode is quite good representation of source material. As a promotional item and a polybag set it is quite nice. I hope that this is a preview of large scale model because all others mini polybag sets have their representation as normal sets. This is the only one now without larger equivalent. SUPLEMET Let’s see evolution of star destroyers in the form of LEGO mini models. IMG_0719 by Marek, on Flickr IMG_0722 by Marek, on Flickr Here we have Ventator-class represented by Brickmaster polybag 20007 and polybag 30053, Imperial-class represented by mini set 4492 and polybag 30056, Resurgent-class represented by polybag 30277. Brickmaster polybag and 4492 are bigger than modern polybag versions, although they are also mini models. So let see only modern polybag destroyers side by side. IMG_0726 by Marek, on Flickr IMG_0728 by Marek, on Flickr I hope you like it.

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
Hi The only cooper dome for R2 unit was this one http://alpha.brickli...4&O={"color":84} it was in set 7661 without robot body so I think someone connected this R2 dome with completely random R2 body. Probably judging from your description with this robot body http://alpha.brickli...=1&O={"color":1} this is one which I found with dark green details.

[REVIEW]: 30279 Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle (polybag)
Hi Today quick and short review of a new 2016 Star Wars polybag mini model First a few official information 30279 Kylo Ren’s Command Shuttle Year: 2016 Number of parts: 43 Minifgures: 0 Price: promotional item This polybag appear in Poland as free gift to “Kaczor Donald” magazine, issue 2/206 (15.01-11.02.2016). Availability in other countries is currently unknown. Magazine prize is 9.99 PLN, which is about €2.20/£1.70/$2.5. IMG_0591 by Marek, on Flickr THE POLYBAG Standard polybag packing, showing on front Kylo's shuttle in action. Artwork this time with Kylo Ren as in this year SW boxes. Front 30279-1 by Marek, on Flickr Back 30279 - 001 by Marek, on Flickr CONTENT Inside we have pile of bricks (43 parts plus 2 extra) and the instruction. 30279 - 003 by Marek, on Flickr Instruction 30279 - 002 by Marek, on Flickr Comes folded as in others polybag sets. Parts 30279 - 004 by Marek, on Flickr Not so diverse in colors. Mainly dark bluish gray parts plus some in black, light bluish gray, red, trans red and trans black. There is one interesting part, because of color. 30279 - 005 by Marek, on Flickr Technic axle 4 studs long in red. Technic axles in colors other than black and gray are rather rarely included in sets by LEGO. Here we have one in red color. This axle in red color was released in 4 old Technic and Reacers sets from 2001, 2002 and 2005 then retired to shows again in three sets this year and last year. One exclusive in 2015 and one in Technic and one in Nexo Knights this year. So it is very interesting to see this part in polybag set. It is rather unusual to have rare parts in polybag. THE COMPLETE MODEL 30279 - 006 by Marek, on Flickr 30279 - 007 by Marek, on Flickr 30279 - 008 by Marek, on Flickr 30279 - 009 by Marek, on Flickr It has very simple play feature, opening and closing front hatch. 30279 - 010 by Marek, on Flickr 30279 - 011 by Marek, on Flickr Extra parts left 30279 - 012 by Marek, on Flickr SUMMARY This set is mini representation of set 75104, so it don’t resemble true Kylo Ren’s shuttle from the film very much. But as a promotional item and a polybag set it is quite nice. Grab it if you find it in nice price.

[REVIEW]: 75138 Hoth Attack
Hi My third review of 2016 winter wave set First a few official information 75138 Hoth Attack Year: 2016 Number of parts: 233 Minifgures: 3 plus parts build Imperial Probe Droid Price: €29.99, £19.99 Another build to expanse Hoth Battle THE BOX Front 75138 - 001 by Marek, on Flickr The Box is standard for SW theme, this year it shows Kylo Ren in upper right corner (it is the same artwork as in Episode 7 sets from last year). Gun turrent and battle in action. Minifigures included in set in lower right corner. There is also Disney Logo in lower left corner. Back 75138 - 002 by Marek, on Flickr Shows play features. What wepons and utensils included. Also some nice schematics of gun turrent in upper right corner. Upper Side 75138 - 003 by Marek, on Flickr Shows once again all minfigures with Han Solo in 1:1 scale. CONTENT Inside we have 2 numbered bags (first one is a new type), instruction and sticker sheet. 75138 - 004 by Marek, on Flickr Instruction 75138 - 005 by Marek, on Flickr Contains 68 pages, it is easy to follow, there are also parts list and advertisement pages. Sticker Sheet 75138 - 006 by Marek, on Flickr Contains only 2 stickers. So isn’t very annoying and add nice details to mainly white model. Content of Bag 1 75138 - 007 by Marek, on Flickr 75138 - 008 by Marek, on Flickr Content of Bag 2 75138 - 009 by Marek, on Flickr 75138 - 010 by Marek, on Flickr There are mainly part in white and light bluish gray. Not so diverse color variability. There is one new part. 75138 - 011 by Marek, on Flickr Exclusive to this set is new large (6x6) dish with handle in light bluish gray. Mold isn’t such new it appear last year but was printed in all cases. First time is plain without printing. This part could be very useful especially for hatches builds. MINIFIGURES There are 3 included Han Solo, Rebel Trooper and Snowtrooper, plus parts build probe droid . Han Solo and Rebel Trooper are new variants exclusive for this set. Snowtrooper was seen in other sets before. 75138 - 012 by Marek, on Flickr Han Solo 75138 - 013 by Marek, on Flickr 75138 - 014 by Marek, on Flickr Exclusive new variant for this set. Very similar to previously released, exclusive variant of Hoth Han Solo in brown outfit in polybag, as may the 4th promotion. This one has different head printing, it the same head printing as Endor Han Solo from last year Shuttle Tidirium set. Printing on torso differs by heaving straight belt pattern not arched. There is also difference in color of printing on legs (reddish brown not dark brown). So if someone missed polybag Han Solo now can have it in his brown dark outfit. This is excellent minifig. Rebel Trooper 75138 - 015 by Marek, on Flickr 75138 - 016 by Marek, on Flickr 75138 - 017 by Marek, on Flickr It is also updated version. It has the same printing of legs and torso as new Hoth trooper from last SW Advent Calendar, but has different head, which makes it exclusive here. It is also excellent minifig with detailed printing. Snowtrooper 75138 - 018 by Marek, on Flickr 75138 - 019 by Marek, on Flickr 75138 - 019 by Marek, on Flickr This version appear before, it was included in two sets till now. Both from 2014: 75049 Snowspeeder, 75054 AT-AT. It is a nice detailed minifigure, I think always welcome by armybuilders. Probe Droid 75138 - 021 by Marek, on Flickr It is a 4th version of this droid, it is build from 22 parts. THE BUILD From the first bag we build main part of snow land and base of gun turrent, there is also Han Solo. From the second bag we finish gun turrent, build tripod gun and probe droid, there are also remaining two minifigures: Rebel Trooper and Snowtrooper. Build is easy. Build from bag one 75138 - 022 by Marek, on Flickr Perimeter can be open or closed 75138 - 023 by Marek, on Flickr 75138 - 024 by Marek, on Flickr extra parts left 75138 - 025 by Marek, on Flickr Build from bag two 75138 - 026 by Marek, on Flickr 75138 - 027 by Marek, on Flickr The gun turrent can be rotate using small knob. I like this solution very much. It very easy in construction but make lot of fun. 75138 - 028 by Marek, on Flickr 75138 - 029 by Marek, on Flickr Under the gun there are two spring shooters 75138 - 030 by Marek, on Flickr 75138 - 031 by Marek, on Flickr Tripod gun 75138 - 032 by Marek, on Flickr I don’t like this new construction with schooter, it lacks gun tray on line which was in older construction of this gun 75138 - 033 by Marek, on Flickr. Extra parts left 75138 - 034 by Marek, on Flickr Complete build 75138 - 035 by Marek, on Flickr 75138 - 036 by Marek, on Flickr 75138 - 037 by Marek, on Flickr 75138 - 038 by Marek, on Flickr SUMMARY Pros - nice selection of minifigures, Han Solo in brown Hoth outfit, Rebel Trooper and Snowtrooper - nice selection of parts - nice play feature, gun turrent rotating solution Cons - stickers, not many but always - design of tripod gun, I like old better. I like this set very much it is nice addition to expand battle of Hoth even more, you can combine it with previous ones, I give it 7.5/10.

[REVIEW]: 75136 Droid Escape Pod
Hi My second review of 2016 winter wave set First a few official information 75136 Droid Escape Pod Year: 2016 Number of parts: 197 Minifgures: 4 Price: €29.99, £19.99 This is 3rd remake of Escape pod. Previous ones were 7106 Droid Escape (2001) 9490 Droid Escape (2012) New version has almost doubled number of part and new selection of minifgures compering to 9490. THE BOX Front 75136 - 001 by Marek, on Flickr The Box is standard for SW theme, this year it shows Kylo Ren in upper right corner (it is the same artwork as in Episode 7 sets from last year), the Escape Pod with minifigures in action – Jawas haunting for Droids. Minifigures included in set in lower right corner. There is also Disney Logo in lower Left corner. Back 75136 - 002 by Marek, on Flickr Shows play features, what included: pod, jawa’s wepons and nice printed tile (the Death Star Plan). Also some nice schematics of escape pod in upper right corner. Upper Side 75136 - 003 by Marek, on Flickr Shows once again all minfigures with one of Jawa in 1:1 scale. CONTENT Inside we have 2 numbered bags (first one is a new type), instruction and a large sticker sheet with very big stickers. 75136 - 004 by Marek, on Flickr Instruction 75136 - 005 by Marek, on Flickr Contains 60 pages, it is easy to follow, there are also parts list and advertisement pages. Sticker Sheet 75136 - 006 by Marek, on Flickr Contains 7 stickers (but only apply on 5 parts), there are numbers which show in instruction where to apply them. They are very very big and covering large area of parts. If you want to have good effect on final model you must apply them very carful especially on cylinder quarters to have them on those four parts align. Content of Bag 1 75136 - 007 by Marek, on Flickr 75136 - 008 by Marek, on Flickr Content of Bag 2 75136 - 009 by Marek, on Flickr 75136 - 010 by Marek, on Flickr Selection of parts is rather good, there are many larger ones. There are also new, rare parts and parts in new color. 75136 - 11 by Marek, on Flickr Exclusive to this set is new printed black tile 2x2 with the Death Star plan, this part is a very nice addition to the set, especially with so heavily stickers other parts. I think it will be very useful part for playing scenes from the episode IV not only in this set. Second part is a part in new color. It is half round plate with cutout for the first time in light bluish gray color, there are four of them. This part is also included in set in tan color (two of them) it is not new color but rare one, because it is only appear in one set before in Juniors theme: 10679 Pirate Treasure Hunt (and there was only one of it) 75136 - 12 by Marek, on Flickr MINIFIGURES There are 4 included: C-3PO, R2-R2 and two Jawas. C-3PO and R2-R2 are new variants exclusive for this set. Jawas was seen in other sets before. 75136 - 13 by Marek, on Flickr C3-PO 75136 - 14 by Marek, on Flickr 75136 - 15 by Marek, on Flickr Exclusive new variant for this set. Very similar to UCS Sandcrawler version, the only difference is that it hasn’t robot limiter printed on torso. It is a 9th minifigure version of this character. Besides of old version, newer version of C-3PO is rather rarely added by Lego to sets (sw365 – 3 sets, sw561 – 1 set, sw653 – 1 set). Previous version was only in UCS Sandcrawler so is rather rare and expensive. So nice to have it back in cheaper set, especially that this variant supplement Sancrawler variant (with or without robot limiter now). It is a very nice detailed minifigure with torso printed on front and back and printed legs, head wasn’t updated since version from previous escape pod (9490 Droid Escape). R2-D2 75136 - 16 by Marek, on Flickr Also new variant of this minifigure, but this time changes are minimal and hard to recognize at first. It is a 10th version of this character. The only difference is lavender color of state indicator, red in previous version which was included in 6 sets. Compare pictures 75136 - 17 by Marek, on Flickr 75136 - 18 by Marek, on Flickr R2-D2 is much more frequently included than C3-PO, so it is not so uncommon. I have mixed feeling about this minifig, why include new variant with that small changes?...To make this set more interesting for buyers?... Maybe Jawas There are two of them 75136 - 19 by Marek, on Flickr 75136 - 20 by Marek, on Flickr 75136 - 21 by Marek, on Flickr 75136 - 22 by Marek, on Flickr I think for those the set is worth buying for. Jawas were always quite rare, so very nice to see them again, especially two of them and in both new version which were in UCS Sandcrawler set. First version is now not so unique because of inclusion in last SW Advent Calendar. Second one with gold badge is rare, before was only in Sandcrawler. THE BUILD From the first bag we build main part of escape pod, first Jawa and R2-D2. From second bag we finish escape pod and build inside of the pod. The build is easy, mainly big parts, there can be problems in applying stickers, to properly align them. Build from bag one 75136 - 23 by Marek, on Flickr 75136 - 25 by Marek, on Flickr 75136 - 26 by Marek, on Flickr 75136 - 27 by Marek, on Flickr 75136 - 28 by Marek, on Flickr 75136 - 29 by Marek, on Flickr 75136 - 30 by Marek, on Flickr extra parts left 75136 - 31 by Marek, on Flickr Build from bag two First we build inside module 75136 - 32 by Marek, on Flickr Then adding details and finishing the escape pod 75136 - 33 by Marek, on Flickr 75136 - 34 by Marek, on Flickr 75136 - 35 by Marek, on Flickr SPOILER ALERT! There are hidden plans 75136 - 36 by Marek, on Flickr What the heck? They aren’t hidden in R2-D2???? Whole pod 75136 - 37 by Marek, on Flickr 75136 - 38 by Marek, on Flickr 75136 - 39 by Marek, on Flickr 75136 - 40 by Marek, on Flickr 75136 - 41 by Marek, on Flickr 75136 - 42 by Marek, on Flickr Extra parts left 75136 - 43 by Marek, on Flickr Complete build 75136 - 44 by Marek, on Flickr 75136 - 45 by Marek, on Flickr 75136 - 46 by Marek, on Flickr 75136 - 47 by Marek, on Flickr SUMMARY Pros - nice selection of minifigures especially two versions of Jawas - nice selection of parts (some rare and in new color), tile printed with the Death Star plan (highlight) Cons - another version of R2-D2 with very very minor change - stickers (very big ones) - ridicules play futures (plans are hidden in pod) I have mixed feelings about this set, I give him 5/10.

[REVIEW]: 75141 Kanan's Speeder Bike
Hi This is my first attempt to make a review of the LEGO set. For this I have choosen new 75141 Kanan's Speeder Bike. First a few official information 75141 Kanan's Speeder Bike Year: 2016 Number of parts: 234 Minifgures: 3 THE BOX Front 75141 - 001 by Marek, on Flickr The Box is standard for SW theme, this year it shows Kylo Ren in upper right corner (it is the same artwork as in Episode 7 sets from last year), the speeder bike with minifigures in action and minifigures included in set in lower right corner. There is also Disney Logo in Lower Left corner. Back 75141 - 002 by Marek, on Flickr Shows play features, selection of weapons included and some nice schematics of vehicle. Upper Side 75141 - 003 by Marek, on Flickr Shows once again all minfigures with Kanan in 1:1 scale. CONTENT Inside we have 2 numbered bags, instruction and a sticker sheet 75141 - 004 by Marek, on Flickr Instruction 75141 - 005 by Marek, on Flickr Contains 48 pages, it is easy to follow, there are also parts list and advertisement pages. Sticker Sheet 75141 - 006 by Marek, on Flickr Contains 10 stickers, there are numbers which show in instruction where to apply them. They are easy to apply. Content of Bag 1 75141 - 007 by Marek, on Flickr 75141 - 008 by Marek, on Flickr Content of Bag 2 75141 - 009 by Marek, on Flickr 75141 - 010 by Marek, on Flickr There is nice selection of part. Especially is nice to see so many SW Blasters (4 medium size and 1 short) and explosive devices in form of printed flat silver 1x1 round tiles. Those tiles were included only in 6 SW sets before in smaller number. Now we have 5 of them (including 1 extra). There are also rare parts and parts in new color. 75141 - 011 by Marek, on Flickr Trans-Clear Wedge Plate is rare included before only in one set: Super Heroes 76026 Gorilla Grodd Goes Bananas. Triangle Road Sign Clip is for the first time in Dark Green and Handlebars with Angular Handles for the first time in Black. MINIFIGURES There are 3 included: Kanan Jarrus, Stormtrooper and Imperial Combat Driver. Only the last mentioned is exclusive for this set. First two was seen in other sets before. 75141 - 019 by Marek, on Flickr Kanan Jarrus 75141 - 012 by Marek, on Flickr 75141 - 013 by Marek, on Flickr Appear before in 3 sets: 75053 The Ghost, 75084 Wookiee Gunship and exclusive The Ghost Starship from Fan Expo Canada 2014. All of them are rather expensive, so for the first time we have him in much cheaper set. It is a very nice detailed minifigure in dark brown hair and eyebrows version, with double sided head, torso with front and back printing and printed legs. Stormtooper 75141 - 014 by Marek, on Flickr 75141 - 015 by Marek, on Flickr 75141 - 016 by Marek, on Flickr Standard Rebels animated cartoon version stormtrooper which appeared before in 4 sets (in cheaper ones and expensive ones: 75053 The Ghost, 75078 Imperial Troop Transport, 75083 AT-DP, 75090 Ezra's Speeder Bike) so it isn’t a rare minifigure, but always welcome especially for army builders. It has standard clone head (very common one in clones and stromtroopers in recent sets), front and back printed torso, printed legs and nice detailed helmet. Its printing is more cartoonish in style than standard recent version stromtrooper. Imperial Combat Driver 75141 - 017 by Marek, on Flickr 75141 - 018 by Marek, on Flickr Exclusive for this set. It is very similar to AT-DP driver, the same prtinting of head, very similar printing of torso, legs and helmet but in dark bluish gray (torso, legs) and light bluish gray colors (head, helmet). Very nice addition to imperial forces. THE BUILD The Build is modular from the first bag we build speeder bike with Kanan and Stormtrooper and from the second bag two containers. The build is easy but entertaining, especially the speeder bike which has very interesting use of some parts to obtain those angles in vehicle. Build of containers is repetitive because they are identical. Highlight of this set is inclusion a nice selection of weponary. Build from bag one 75141 - 020 by Marek, on Flickr 75141 - 021 by Marek, on Flickr 75141 - 022 by Marek, on Flickr extra parts left 75141 - 023 by Marek, on Flickr Build from bag two 75141 - 024 by Marek, on Flickr 75141 - 025 by Marek, on Flickr 75141 - 026 by Marek, on Flickr 75141 - 027 by Marek, on Flickr 75141 - 028 by Marek, on Flickr Extra parts left 75141 - 029 by Marek, on Flickr Complete build 75141 - 030 by Marek, on Flickr 75141 - 031 by Marek, on Flickr 75141 - 032 by Marek, on Flickr 75141 - 033 by Marek, on Flickr 75141 - 034 by Marek, on Flickr SUMMARY Pros - nice selection of parts (some rare and in new color, number of weapons included, especially that now in battle pack there is no standard SW blasters, so good to see them) - great selection of minifigures - very clever design Cons - speeder is out of scale (too big compare to Kanan minifig as it shown on photos) - stickers (some elements could be printed especially tiles) I really like this set, I give him 7/10.
