  1. What do you mean by that? Also this is a question to those who own one or more minifigs but where do you find them? I have never seen them at WalMart, Target, K-mart, etc...? Are they found in the front where they keep pokemom cards and other cards at, because I have never seen them in the Lego or toys section of the store. Also I live in the U.S if that help.
  2. Seeing all the figures together makes me even sadder that I didn't have Lego until last month. I miss out on all the series 1 to 8 mini-figures
  3. You should be a shame, actually don't ever talk to me. I shall put you on ignore.
  4. I'm new to Lego and this whole pick a brick thing, so how would a new person know what bricks to pick?
  5. Nope I don't, I never pay full price for any Lego. I got the Lego forest police station for $45 retail at $80 US. I got the ambulance for $10 retail at $20. I bought Helm Deep for $70 retail at $130 USD. I bought Anakin pod racers retail at $90 and I got it for $30. I miss out on the Fire Temple retail at $120 for $70 and the Police Station retail at $100 for $57. Even at these sale price, I still find them to be very expensive.
  6. I think the golden age of Lego started in 2005, so if this thread is implying that this decade is the golden age, then I would agree, however if it mean NOW as in 2012, then I would have to disagree.
  7. I don't buy anything unless it 50% off or more, my minimal threshold is 33% off. I would prefer 70% or more though.

That good to know, I read that the recent 2011 - 2012 boats don't float. Let me find you that link.

This may just be me but I don't like having anything in one thread and that doesn't apply to only this forum. I have ADD and when everything is in one thread, it hard for me to follow. When mods move my thread to fit in with another thread, I no longer keep track of it.
  10. You guys actually pay full price for Lego?

Off topic but I was wondering why newer city boat no longer float unlike the early city boats?
  12. The problems is you guy are only seeing this problem from an AFOL perspective. Most kids don't have those city plates that you folks have had since a kid. They need to make bigger road plates that allow for a wide space for building as well. I think they use redo base plate and sell one giant one for $50 that can fit several large building, etc....
  13. I completely understand but I can't help but wonder how much more money it would take for Lego to include road in their set? Surely it wouldn't cost an arm and a leg more? I know the quality is day and night compare to 20 years ago but the price differences is also night and day as well.

Could you by any chance upload those catalogues? I am very curious and interested to see all the sets in its glory other than brickset.com. Lastly the problem I have with City as mention by members here is the lack of road. Roads used to be 6 to 7 dollars and you get two same road plates, now it $15 for 2 different road plates. I would be spending a fortune just for road itself and that doesn't make sense. So we are no longer getting road plates in our play sets yet Lego also charges us double for twice as less road then before. I don't know about you guys but the average kids who start his city collection won't have a proper city because of how overprice roads are. This is really my biggest concern, and I'm not sure how to bypass this. Do roads ever go on sale?
  15. I am not 100% sure if it could be nausea from the past, but those Lego commercials from the past look awesome. Of course they don't really have much Lego commercials now or toys commercial like in the past so it hard for me to judge since I don't own any of those theme or set you listed.
