Unfortunately, tests one and two were inconclusive. Due to the number of test subjects that ended in an unfortunate accident with a mashy spike plate and some malfunctioning turrets, another round of testing is required to fully reach a conclusion! The lab boys have spent a lot of time making sure that this test won’t remove any important extremities that you’ll need for future tests. Because we don’t want to lose important time re-attaching those pesky limbs! As one of the original members of the Thinking With Portals project, I’m very pleased to announce a new Portal 2 project featuring a fully updated, and much more advanced model of everybody’s favorite robot antagonist! With the news that LEGO will be adding Chell to the playable character line-up of their LEGO Dimensions game, could there possibly be a better time to try to bring GlaDos back to life? The original Thinking With Portals project went completely viral, and after being featured on many popular blogs like i09, PCgamer, and Kotaku, it garnered 10,000 supporters in two weeks. Ultimately, the project failed the review phase. The upcoming launch of the Dimensions sets brings with it a new mold for the Portal gun, a piece that's key to the success of any Portal LEGO set. With that most important piece being added to LEGO's official parts line-up, I feel that this project will be much more likely to pass the review phase! Seeing as the GlaDos playset was my baby on the original project, I’ve wanted to create a standalone project for her ever since the original idea was rejected. The only part of this model that’s stayed the same as the original is the head. Everything else has been built from the ground up, and has been restructured to be as playable as possible. Now you can recreate iconic scenes from the game without fear of breaking GlaDos into a million pieces, and throwing them in a fire. You monster. The set includes GlaDos and stand, three turrets (two operational, one defective), toilet chamber, Wheatley, and exclusive Chell mini figure! Tavasho, The Walking City. by Lego Junkie., on Flickr Heavily based off of the many ideas and concepts of cities built on top of large mechanical creatures/trains/propellors. This one has quite a bit of Laputa in it, what with the overgrowth of greenery, and the clusters of tan buildings. My first, and hopefully not my last entry into Marchikoma!

Seeing as my first MOCs on Mocpages/Flickr were construction vehicles, I figured it was time to go back to my roots and try a build in that style again. And because I also had a lot of inspiration from the 2009-2010 zombie apocafest collaboration that TBB did, here's a zombie-fied version.

With the surface of the world covered in rampantly corrupt and impoverished layers of microcities, the average person has a residential living/workspace housed in a cube approximately 16 feet wide, 16 feet deep, and 16 feet tall. Within the tight confines of these cubes, all types of unethical businesses have sprung up. The thriving black-market trade in electronic goods and other darker matters has severely subdued the amount of legitimate businesses in the high rise cube towers, and few remain open for long before joining the elicit trade. One of the last of the well meaning businesses is Percival's Electrocanics, a shop dedicated to serving the working class with high quality electronics for any project that may arise.

But after finding out that I didn't have four tyres that'd fit this scale, I had to make do with what I had. It rapidly went down hill from there. That's the one thing I just couldn't build. I don't have any 1x2 curved slopes, or 4x4 radar dishes to play a stud. So creative license took over on this, and I went without the stud.

Yep! It's all Lego. The eyes are a white 6x6 dish, then a Dk. Red 4x4 dish, then a black 2x2 boat plate, all layered to the result you see here. Melan-E's Unikitty is actually the reason I built this one. I was totally jealous and wanted one for my shelf. I agree on the teeth statement, the more I look at the picture, the more they bug me. But ah well, it's workable. Thanks all! Glad you guys are enjoying it!
