  1. I think all the sets look interesting. I'm slightly puzzled a film designed to cash in on nostalgia and the iconography of the 'original' trilogy doesn't feature more familiar sets - and how do we not even get one Stormtrooper?!
  2. No idea where I'm going to put this - it's huge!
  3. That's interesting - instead of standalone games, Lego will release its games as Dimensions add-on's Makes perfect sense and increases the appeal. Also, this is a different figure than is included in Ecto 1...
  4. Please let me know who is sitting in a jail cell for hosting pictures of toys? Perhaps just the name of someone crushed by a huge fine from Lego? Can't? Oh really? Don't try and frighten us with your sorcerers ways! Anyway, LOVE these new sets. The figures are wonderful, so detailed and loads of new parts. Odd that there is very little that's clearly 'star wars' (not even one Stormtrooper?), factoring how close Rogue One is set to A New Hope all these new troops / ships clash a bit, where was this hardware lurking...
  5. Jestro's base is superb, just superb. Everything works - it's full of play features, interesting parts and great on display. Well done to the designer! I do love the general absurdity of it too - a bed? A bath? Why not!
  6. In many ways, the new turbo tank is better (and possibly no worse) than the 2010 version... And yet the minifig selection is terrible - all have appeared before (and relatively recently). Vos' leg printing is essentially the only 'new' feature. This would have been the perfect opportunity to include galactic marines or clone commandos, it's not as if Vos featured in the Wookie battle scenes after all!
  7. Everything is now available in UK Lego stores, bar the Civil War Spidey. I'm loving Dr Ock's mech thing - so much playability and 'fun', I'd have adored this as a kid
  8. My 76055 has an incomplete instruction manual (40 pages missing!) and printing on various figures is smudged. Thanks Lego... Ed. anyone have a scan of stages 57 - 105?
  9. I don't really understand that A Wing pilot promo - it's less impressive than the pilot minifigures we've seen in sets for years, it's a step backwards?
  10. Plain legs on ghost rider really is lazy. Or maybe fire knows to keep it above the waist like a champion boxer?
  11. New CTT is better than I was expecting...but an overall improvement on the last? Hmm, think it's a tie. The under carriage on the new one is much better but at the cost of overall size. Seems Lego have some goal of keeping everything under 1,000 bricks - this is a set that needed slightly more pieces than the 2010 version just to sort out some accuracy issues.
  12. Those plain legs on ghost rider annoy me - the guy is on fire, c'mon Lego!!
  13. That's quite enough of your transphobia! This is a great set, although the pricing is bizarre £7 for one figure?!
  14. That volcano lair is just sensational - so much inspiration and effort thrown at that. It looks huge too, a great display piece I reckon. ...anyone else notice that is has double the minifigs and a pile of extra bricks than the larger 2016 Star Wars sets but is the same price? These licenced sets are a form of daylight robbery...
  15. The Ras set is £40, that's insane!
  16. Never understood people's reluctance to see variance with minifigs Every time we get a Spider-Man it should be different Why the hell not? We aren't army building and It's not as if it costs more to print a different design and - even if arm printing etc. cost more - variation is just going to increase sales and make each version more collectible producing a net gain. With more choice everyone wins and they can just pick the one they like best. Giving us the same version again and again is astonishingly lazy
  17. Designs are great which begs the question why we are still getting minifigs without back printing or leg printing...
  18. Good grief! Stunning! ...and the use of Batman's legs for the officers is an idea that's getting pinched!
  19. Summer wave must be out in the next 4 weeks, mid May is usually release time as I recall?
  20. Agree with the comments here - wanted more than Star Wars - Katniss Something all a bit 'pointless' about this film, a story no one needed to hear with characters that had no further significant role in the Rebellion or even the world introduced in The Force Awakens
  21. UCS X Wing...that was truly horrible I despise stickers but feel a model is incomplete if I don't apply them. As such, I do my best then buy 2-3 spares from bricklink just in case. I've found virtually all stickers peel in time, having spares helps because once a set is discontinued it's a real challenge to do anything about stickers folding at the edges. My spare sticker box is probably quite valuable now - you can get a set for next to nothing early on but the prices soon rise...
  22. Is it my imagination or are people willing to do seemingly anything - including spending more than the cost of the set NEW - just to avoid buying it? 3,000 bricks, chuck in postage and crucially the cost of TIME and what saving have you made? Do we really need these threads? Perhaps the mods can create a single one called 'I can't feed my Lego addiction', it could be a help group, perhaps we could combine with a Kickstarter...
  23. Lego, why would you use those drab plain legs for Batman in the cycle chase set when you have the dual moulded legs part available...hell, you're using it in other Batman sets! Why are Batman and Spider-Man mini figs the LOW point of sets, shouldn't we be thrilled at the diverse and exciting new designs - lifted from books, comics and films - that these characters have 'in real life'?
  24. Bought this set and can't wait to build it, it's so delightfully 'lego' - classic batman is such a tonal 'fit' And to the moaners: Some people can't afford expensive Lego sets, some can. Lego knows this and makes sets for all budgets. They don't care that some people can't afford some of their sets and moan about it. They call that 'economics'. Want to buy more expensive sets? Get a better job, that's called 'earning a living'. Or just complain like a spoiled child, whatever.
  25. Still puzzled that £275 gets you 4,600 bricks if the IP is Ghostbusters but when it's Star Wars you get substantially less... This set needed to have been 4,000+ bricks and chucking an extra £50 on the price tag seems to make more sense than charging £230 for surprisingly little content...
