  1. Wow! good find! Perhaps so, its weird that a random piece from 2001 is in with a bunch of much older stuff, but I've seen stranger things. Thank you!
  2. I have several old "really floats" ships that were obviously used in water for extended periods. They clean up fine, but the stickers don't seem to survive. You can still collect, ask for lego for xmas and birthdays, that's how I did it initially.
  3. I feel really old now. I remember the first minifigures that didn't have arms or faces Still have a couple

I love this, I do think having several in a row will make it even better! :) Use of the half window is brilliant!
  6. Hi all, I've seen on google and bricklink scouring photos, I'm sure I'm looking right at my answer and not seeing it. This piece but in TRANS RED. any idea what set it goes to? http://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=4285a&idColor=1#T=C&C=1 It came with a lot of parts to the Futuron monorail, but there was obviously other things in there too, that monorail seems to only have this piece in white, I'm guessing if its not classic space its space police perhaps. Thanks for any replies in advance.
  7. Good to know, I never really paid attention, but now that I think about it, Ideas sets are def for an older demographic. :)
  8. to be fair, everyone fussing over how awesome a set is for 8 pages with no other opinions is hardly a conversation either. Either way I don't appreciate you telling me I'm not allowed to an opinion, If you don't like my posts please block me thank you.
  9. I guess I'm the odd one out here. I don't think I recall ever not liking a lego set, but this one honestly makes me recoil a bit. I can't wrap my mind around what kid would want this, though I'm sure some exist, but then again, its obvious from this thread theres an adult market! I guess its just very obviously not marketed for kids, moreso than I'm used to seeing, and I feel weird about that. I'm not a beatles fan, and it seems like I'm alone there. Oh well, more for you guys!
  10. wow, this is great! I was hoping for that large Jurassic Park building as well though!

Hi, how long did that take you to build? :)
  14. Very cool, I've never been good at creating cars, so I like seeing others ideas.
  15. I have a couple thoughts. Firstly, I saw a review on youtube a buyer did on these track as i was also VERY interested and when he went in for close ups I recoiled a bit. I think they are a great idea, but i can't stomach the look of them. ..... I will however probably buy some when I build a large layout where they are far away, or in a tunnel of some sort. I do think they are fairly priced, but the look just bothers me personally. Secondly, I have bought straight track for as little as $10usd on several occasions, you just have to be VERY patient and be prepared to jump on deals when they appear. If you have to have it NOW, yes you will pay much more. Anyway, great idea, maybe future customer, with caveats.
  16. Going to start on this today!
  17. Just an fyi the 179$ deathstars on ebay is a scam. Theres a thread on this board about it...
  18. What about buying mixed lots and start building your own mocs? Perhaps buildings that would compliment the themes that no longer exist?
  19. I love this idea! I'll be following this one for sure!
  20. Impressive! Nice job!
  21. Lego store in ontario Ca had 8877 vladeks dark fortress for 50% off (damaged boxes) so I bought three, AND had lots of vip points so One was nearly free... I remember scoring big in thrift shops as a kid. Now goodwill is pretty much the only thrift store and they put the lego up on their bidding site, not avail in store. I have gotten alot of discounted damaged box sets at the lego store over the years... I discard the boxes anyway
