I like the sail barge And what I like most about it though is five minifigures don't have - Max Rebo, Weequay, Ree-Yees awesome Add that to Bib Fortuna, Gammorrean Guard, Oola, Boushh, salicious crumb (did not get Jabbas palace but did get the first three minifigures on bricklink) Lando, Kithabaa, Boba Fettt, Luke (did get desert skiff) Malakili, Rancor (did not get that set) Thats a pretty awesome set of new or re-designed minifigures. Maybe add Tessek and that's every jabba minion I ever wanted. Intent to buy the skip add Bib Fortuna, Gamorrean Guard, Oola (yeah does not fit but whatever), Cheewie, Han and a spare Jawa I have to create a pretty awesme sail barge and desert skiff set up

I can't refute the logic that it does not look like a ewok village But I would love it to be an ewok village non the less ewoks are rubbish.....but some how lego ewoks are great. Have all four (or is it five - only have the printed ones) and they are among my favorite mini figures, a village for them would be great So here's to hoping

Ahhh I feel we are being mean to this set now. I am delighted that lego have done a cinema. Its defintaly on my buy list even if I wanted pure Art Deco.....and so far my to buy list is only that and minifgures series so its a elusive list (though the lotr and sail barge sets are possibles, reserving judgement until better pictures). And for me GE is NY style. I sware I saw a building off central park (view from the lake looking left) that looks identical to it

Not sure there are that many Art Deco Stations - Union Station in LA and Cincinattta many some others I can't think of now. The majority of Art Deco Buildings are either Theatres (The Wiltern, Fargo etc), office buildings (Bullocks, Chrysler etc) or Court Houses (Jefferson, Jackson etc). Can't see us getting a random office building or a court house (too similar a concept to Town Hall) so can''t see us getting an Art Deco buiding for a long, long while. Unless they do Miami style beach houses or a bank (like the first national). The bank might work Anyway am being curtish. I agree that it is a art deco and oriental fusion that does bring to mind LA and the golden days of cinema. And it is very nice building I will definately be getting one. I guess was just hoping for pure Art Deco.

My first ever post! Though I have often read this site I have been looking forward to the lego modular cinema for a long while. I was pretty sure they would do a cinema and happy they have. But I REALLY wanted it to be art deco style and as such I am a bit dissapointed. Is anyone else dissapointed at this? The Town plan cinema was Art Deco so I thought they would follow that template I have literally just got back from LA so went to the Grauman Chinese Theatre so the inspiration is clear. But most of the cinemas in LA and everywhere else are Art Deco style. And with no Art Deco buildings in the modular set - for what is a massive architectural movement and symbolic of the hayday of entertainment and cinema - it seems a missed opportunity. That said I will get this anyway. I only have one modular building (grand emporium serving as the Mad Men ad agency on madison avenue complete with the cast as minifgures) so this can sit with it and form a mini two modular street
