I have a wide range of hobbies and collectibles like LEGO,Transformers,Power Rangers,Star Wars,Kamen Rider SH Figuarts,Disney,Comic Books,Knives,Beer Steins, and Movie Memorabilia and so forth. But lately I've been buying more Lego's since it seems like other toy companies are in a slump to release anything new.

I also like doing other stuff besides collecting like going out, hanging with friends, checking out whats new at the movies, and just plain having fun.So that is me in a nutshell.Hope you don't think I'm too crazy.

  1. I apologize in advance but does it really matter what what us American's call them, even tho I have called them both Lego and Lego's at times it shouldn't matter which way you call them, just like in San Francisco California they call them electric trains that go up and down the street as trolley's but in England I am not sure what that term refers too, maybe the same too.So my point is what difference does it make what you call them? People automatically know what your talking about whether you call them Lego or Lego's. As for the trademark issue then surely it shouldn't matter if one little letter like s could cause a multi billion dollar company to lose the rights just by adding an s.
  2. For me I plan on buying around a dozen Lego sets, from the Cinema Palace,4 or 5 Chima's,That Horizon Express if I can find it at TRU or Target,The Sopwith Camel Biplane,That Batman and Mr. Freeze Set,either the Samurai Mech or Kai's Fire Mech from Ninjago depending on which I find first,Ninjago Cole's Earth Driller, and that Creator Log Cabin at Walmart. Now as for the topic of MOC's I would like to get some bricks from Bricklink or elsewhere and try to build my first MOC of a lifesize Screech Owl,complete with folding wings, moveable head, and etc.I have always wanted one as a pet but they are illegal to own a real one,so I would settle for one made out of Lego's. Lastly but does anyone know if that has been done before,if so where can I find pics of it.Thanks all and Happy Lego'ing.
  3. For me I hope to get most if not all of the following this year if they don't sell out before then,The Sopwith Camel Biplane,The Cinema Palace if it is $79 or $80,Chima Eris Eagle Interceptor,Craggars Command Ship,Equila's Ultra Striker,Razar's Chi Raider,Arctic Batman & Mr. Freeze Set,Batmobile and Two Face Chase Set,and pretty much any smaller Creator sets under $50 or $60. Also I got a Target Redcard the other day and now I can save 5% on my purchases at there store or online, sure its not much but atleast it saves a little.I also might get other Lego's if they are eye catching. Thanks all.
  4. Hey asielen, thanks for posting that page. But the past couple of weeks I have been to Walmart and found 8 or 10 Lego sets that went on clearance and I ended up getting them for almost or better than half price, like Star Wars Darth Maul Sith Infiltrator for $27 regular $60,7942 City Off Road Fire Rescue for $5 regular $11,and Clone Wars 7964 Republic Frigate for $44.50 regular $100.00 I think. But my point is this that even tho your news is right I really think even better prices can be found if you look for them,so instead of paying say roughly 10 or 11 cents per lego piece you would pay only 5 cents apiece or whatever. Also I am not arguing with you about that I just wanted to add that for reference.I still like your post about it tho.
  5. I am not sure but I would sure like it if it was that Cinema Palace, that thing is wicked cool. But sadly I doubt I could afford the $100+ price tag tho I would love to get it.
  6. For me I wouldn't care if Cuusoo had minifigs with boobs or not,and even if they did do that its not something that I think would change my opinion about Lego's.And finally about those Friends I haven't bought any of those and don't plan on to either but not because the minifigs are curvaceous and appealing but because those are more targeted for girls so thats why.
  7. Hey Duke,I sure appreciate the help, but now I have another problem, and its the helicopter base for that set,it didn't come with the lower part of the cockpit, but it did come with an extra gray car base with prongs where the wheels attach to that I used instead for the bottom. My question is did this use the car base also for the helicopter or was there a different one,I went ahead and used it for the time being.Does Bricklink sell just the helicopter base?.Thanks so much.
  8. Hey all, I too need help identifying some pieces, and since I can't start my own thread yet I decided to post here,I bought a bag of Lego's at a garage sale about 5 or 6 years ago and it has the following in it,I think its a police playset, but onto specifics. - it has 2 black bases with corner squares on the edges and has small studs in the center of the corner squares - it has about 8 white pillars that go on the corners of the black bases - there are about 4 jail cell panels that slide in at the top down to the b. bases - then it has about 3 clear blue window panels that have a star in the middle of each of them - and finally there is a box with two little smooth bricks that has $ signs on them inside the box So if anyone can help me id these I would be totally grateful.
  9. I too was not much of a Lego enthusiast in my youth, other things like Star Wars,Transformers, and GIJoe were mostly my thing back in the 80's,and then a couple of years just before the new millenium we discovered the internet, and then about late 2001 or early 2002 I found out about Lego's and some of them were just plain spectacular so I started getting some when I got a little bit of money and would sit there and put them together. Then after two or three years I lost interest since I started getting back into Transformers, but I did keep them in storage. Then after the second Transformers movie and total crap lineup of figures I quit buying transformers, and got back into collecting Lego's again in about 2011 I ended up seeing Pirates of the Carribean On Stranger Tides and went berserk and started buying everything that had to do with it,including the Lego Black Pearl and other Lego sets for that movie and thats how I came back to these after 5 years or so.
  10. For me I just got the following sets #7961 Darth Maul Sith Infiltrator for $27.00, #7964 Republic Gunship for $49.00, and #7957 Sith Nightspeeder for $12.00,all at Walmart when they marked them down tuesday, pretty cool only paying half price for them.I think they were totally worth it.
  11. I am not sure what all I will get for 2013 but I do have my eyes on 4 or 5 of the Chima sets, maybe 3 or 4 Creator ones, and about 5 of the Star Wars, then maybe a handful from the Lego Lines. Finally I may try to get the Marvel and DC Super Heroes sets if I can afford them.I just love LEGO's.
