I though that over all they were pretty good, I only ever got the two smallest sets however.

I like the idea of battle packs very much. Especially since I can't seem to find the impulse sets anywhere where I live.

Thanks guys. I wasn't really very happy with the sails myself. But at the time I didn't have anything besides paper on hand, so I just had to use what I had. I will probably try some of your suggestions whenever I make another ship.

This is a ship I finished about to weeks ago, but never got it posted. So here she is now. Everything but the sails and rigging is pure Lego. Flickr for more pictures

Nice review! I have been sorta wanting this set since they first released it, and now I really want to get it.

I'm guessing the set on the banner is probably the Gold Heist set. Because it looks like there is gold dropping out of the baddy ship.

They would fly forward realistically, because if the wind is blowing into your sail from behind it would be pushing the flag forward.

Nice review, I like this set. But it should have been 20 USD instead of 30. It frustrates me. Of course all of you Europeans are screaming in agony because United States Lego's are so much cheaper anyway.

That is SSSSOOOOOOO Sexy! I want one, look at all those shiney new white pieces, I personally have a large shortage of good condition white pieces. Anyway, this set is amazing, I hope it wont be to pricey.

I think that in many ways Lego is getting more realistic, like with skin color, more realistic weapons, more realistic vehicles. And the new castle line looks so realistic compared to knights kingdom, blah!
