  1. Thought I may have been. I only saw people talking about Onua before this post exploded so got excited that it was my thing haha. You could have pretended I found it first :(
  2. Having stared intently at the leaked pics - I'd wager that all the Toa have gears. Tahu clearly seems to have some back technic going on. I'd imagine it was similar for Kopaka but we don't have a good angle. Interestingly, I also spy some technic on the smaller Toa - i.e. Lewa. Look between he left arm and shoulder- it seems some small gears are there. Now, if I am corect in seeing this, I reckon there will be action gears in place which will move the arms up and down, while also having the same range of motion as a non technic action figure. If Lego have managed to successfully combine the two, then this really could be an exciting new development, and possibly the biggest change since the new building system. Also guys, hey haven't been here in ages. BIONICLE OMG
  3. I have logged on for the first time in about 6 months just to say that I very much enjoyed Pacific Rim - and while this wave of sets bears many similarities, the fact is it opened up a new and very exciting window to building Lego action figures. I believe, kind sir, that others having a differing opinion from yours does not make them any less valid.
  4. So, I haven't bought a Lego set in over a year and I haven't commented on this site for a good sixth months, but oh my word, I think this may be the best line of sets Lego has come up with. There's so much creativity, so much originality and cracking designs. The only flaw I can really think of is the fact that there are so many sets that look around the £20-£30 range which will push people a little, but wow, I think I may just have to get back into the Lego hobby for these beauties.
  5. Well exactly. Until Lego find a suitable method of hiding gears away in the body of Hero Factory figure or at least so it's not sticking out the back, they shouldn't be employed.
  6. Barring some nice gold pieces and a good helmet, a thoroughly uninspiring and dull figure. That motion gimmick ruins the figure as with Bruizer. Thanks for the review though!
  7. Oh, what a shame about the right arm. Stupid gimmick (admittedly, not as awful as Scarox), that does nothing but distract from what was actually quite an interesting design.
  8. You can also see the Balrog in that image. Very exciting news.
  9. Just seen the prelim pictures for the next wave. Sauruman vs Gandalf is a great way to get Sauraman on the cheep. Interesting choice to play the pirate ship as the main set. I wouldn't have thought that as one of the obvious choices, but, fine by me. The battle at the Black Gate definitely includes the mouth of Sauron which is very exciting. The council of Elrond looks nice, and will probably be the only way of getting Arwen for figure collectors like me. I haven't picked up any of this wave, but I believe Haldir, Theoden and Eomer are the only main characters not in the 2013 wave, so I might just order them for completion's sake. Don't think I have room for Helm's deep alongside the Hobbit sets.
  10. Cheers for the review. :) I am a very big fan of Bulk's face, but the figure feels somewhat lacking. I think it is the small shoulders that feels off, and the weapon is pitiful. Still, worth a purchase I think.
  11. I know I'll probably be alone here, but any one of the Mahri toa really were great imo.
  12. Just saw that. Interestingly, seeing the figures in animated form has made them grow on me. Maybe I was too fast to judge. I like the little glimpse of the Ice-Pyrox dude at 0:36. Cool figure there.
  13. The Crazy One replied to CM4Sci's post in a topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I really like these sets, apart from the robots. I don't know if anyone else feels this, but I feel asthetically they just don't fit in with the sets.
  14. Faramir! <3 I'm so happy now.
  15. TV show looks good. I enjoyed the NinjaGo show and this seems to aim at a bigger scale. I will look forward to that. Oh, and what are constraction sets? Doesn't everyone mean construction sets?
  16. I agree with people saying it looks cluttered, however, there is no doubt the underlying build and attempts to make Stormer look more impressive are a massive improvement on the original itself. The legs are very well done, it's only a shame the parts couldn't show more coherency in colour scheme (not your fault).
  17. All the Speedorz pictures we currently have show them all presented with scenery and obstacles. Will they release single sets with just a driver, some weapons, and a vehicle to compare to NinjaGo or are Lego seemingly more fixed on the larger, task driven sets?
  18. Chee-mah, Shee-mah, Ki-mah, doesn't matter to be honest, and until the adverts for the show and sets we won't know. (I actually prefer TBS' Shee-mah to Chee-Mah). Anyway, these sets are fabulous. Perhaps the Croc smaller set is a tad boxy, but it's certainly a design we haven't seen before (which can't be said for the Lion tank). I think overall, I'm already more enchanted by these sets than I was with NinjaGo on it's first release. However, where LOC will be compared is how it continues through the waves. I think it's fair to say NinjaGo just got better and better. Considering how open Chima will be to race expansion etc, I can see it becoming even more impressive. I want Pandas next so then we can have a giant Panda mech. I mean come on, who doesn't want a giant panda with over sized weaponry?
  19. Ignoring the condescending nature of your post, that's probably because they are very similar colours, and frankly, there is nothing to suggest that Scarox isn't just a darker yellow. I'm surprised people are so sympathetic with this wave to be honest, especially when compared to Breakout. I admit, I was harsh on it, but there is very little to excite me in any of the sets. I also think there needs to be some sort of variation in the plating on the figures in the next wave. I don't think a couple of new weapons and masks justifies the fact that every wave the figures have essentially been the same since Ordeal of Fire.
  20. Well, I'm back. These sets have me unconvinced to be quite honest. I didn't continue with my breakout collection past Rocka sadly, and again to me he feels the only real set that works and is worth getting. Furno XL looks like a nice set but on closer inspection it seems the designers have completely ignored the gaping hole there seems to be on his lower torso. Maybe it's just the perspective. Also I'm seeing possible mobility issues in the arms. Maybe just perspective again. Breeze is just horrible. Silver helmet now, a flimsy bow-spear-staff-thing, poor armouring on the legs, and a buzz saw for a shield. Sounds like a moc I'd make... Bulk hasn't been too badly designed but what is that in his right hand? A drill with a flick fire missile. It's almost embarrassing. I would have been happy with a mace or something, but just the head of a drill?! Rocka = nailed. Coherent design, good colours, and a lovely sword. Onto the villains, and Bruizer is a good set I can't deny that. New ideas, not seen before, very impressed. Shame I'm not a fan of his head. Ogrum just looks like a product of food poisoning. Waspix, sorry I mean Scarox has a cool head but yet again a highly uninspiring build. I can't believe we have yet another yellow multi limbed villain. Running out of ideas? Pyrox is quite cool actually. Might pick him up as well. Solid build, helmet harkening back to the Piraka, though perhaps slightly large for the torso. It's evident this line will have a summer wave as well, and I really hope it improves because the whole head crab idea thing is a great one, just poorly executed. Breakout (even though I only bought one set) was a really really great line, and I'm disappointed this is such a massive fall in quality. Maybe I'm being too harsh, but those are my thoughts so far. Legends of Chima for me.
  21. It's a tough one. Both have their pros and cons. Bionicle had a marvellous story line and it was lavishly produced with lots of background depth to it. However, as it progressed, I felt the story became poorly handled, and lost sight of the original genius of the first waves back in 2001. However, it kept me hooked until the bitter end. The Bionicle building system in my opinion is better simply for the sheer amount of different pieces, and how much more versatile building is, as well as the actual experience of building being far more entertaining than Hero Factory's. Hero Factory's hasn't fully developed yet, but I still remain dissapointed at the lack of pieces. However, the new joints are brilliant and I still haven't broken one. The Hero Factory story is much clearer cut, and easier to follow, and is definitley refreshing. However, due to the massive lack of a firm story (so far atleast), I find it hard to stay attached to it, and admittedly I have stopped buying the sets. So, perhaps the ultimate theme would be the Bionicle range in pieces, built with the strength of Hero Factory's pieces, and a episodic story line with the darker and deeper aspects of Bionicle. Who knows? All opinion I guess.
  22. What the hell is that guys problem?
  23. Oh wow thats so inappropriate. I am only interested in Core Hunter because of that sort of menacing aura about him. He seems more brutal than anything we have seen, but as a toy, such a bland build.
  24. What's the point in spoilering the discussion about Villain Factory? Everyone is going to read it anyway.
  25. I would love that actually. Rory is an awesome character.
