  1. They are slowly coming to life ;) The carrier is almost done, now it's time for the the fun part - gearing inside the superstructure...
  2. It is unfinished model of refreshed 8829 Dune Blaster for LUGPol contest. It was not built from bricks, so might need some tweaks, (like adding flex tubes as a roll cage) but here's your file: http://bricksafe.com...r/misc/8829.lxf Have fun :)
  3. Both. Digital design is good when you need to determine which pieces and quantities you will need. Mechanics could be also designed virtually, but I'd reccomend to build them from bricks first, and if they work adding to your digital model. LEGO Digital Designer, MLCad. LDView for showing how it looks: Brickling mostly, sometimes auction services.
  4. I must say that it really looks nice together :)
  5. I will :) Actually, I have rebuilt the frame and back of the superstructure, so I am one step closer to presenting it, as you said, in its full glory.
  6. I was not planning to do the instructions for it, but I will give it a try :) Something like 8421, but with more motorized funtions :)
  7. Let's say that it is a random, four axle crane, something between 8421, 42009 and real cranes :) I'll make a video when it will be finished :)
  8. I have bought second Arocs and decided to try building a one set MOC from it. I am aware that one set MOCs can be hardly called as a modification of a set, but it is still a WIP and I want to hear what dou you think about my C-model for 42043: Features three axle steering, working V6 fake engine, motorized winch, pump, outriggers and boom extension. Superstructure can be rotated by round plates on the back. I have to rebuild rear part of it, becuase battery box needs more rigid connection. Only element that was not present in the set is a string, but I can't imagine a crane without it ;)
  9. Undercarriage lokks like unfinished.
  10. Your cab is too high (or maybe to narrow) when compared to that picture. Would you be so kind and provide pictures taken directly from front and side? I'd like to compare it to blueprints. And I love that crane, it is a pitty that those cylinders are not long enough :)
  11. Well you could just remove starboard and right side of the cab (it is connected to the cab's floor so it should be bent a little) and change the lever with this:
  12. It all depends on the element you are using. FOr example, this part: Allows to improve rigidity in two planes. Those forks will be brick built in the final version, or you will change them to liftarms?
  13. First place: The steering works in oposite direction, but to be honest I did not noticed that :D
  14. They look nice together :) If anyone is interested, all my models have second place in their categories.
  15. I would love to see both side by side made from real bricks :) Yes: http://www.lugpol.pl...pic.php?t=26706 http://www.lugpol.pl...pic.php?t=26707 http://www.lugpol.pl...pic.php?t=26708
  16. Check this one, made by one of the contestants: https://www.flickr.c...in/photostream/

  18. :) Rebrickable parts list is online now: http://rebrickable.com/mocs/M_longer/8839-supply-ship-studless
  19. :O Ouch, how that happened? Thank you, I will re-upload the instructions soon.
  20. Me too :D I built mine after reading Blakbirds Technicopedia and reworking LDraw file.
  21. Nice to see that ship building master likes my version of Technic set :) I'd change few things, but it is quite sturdy and modular, so, maybe...
  22. The contest ended at midnight, now we will have to wait for voting topics :)
  23. To be honest, I'd like to build it totally different, but functions and overall dimensions had to be be as close as possible to the original set :)
  24. Long time ago a firend of mine said that there are no models of flying/floating models in Tehcnic line. Flying ones are seen quite often these days, but what about floating ones? 8839 Supply Ship by Brickset, on Flickr I have decided to give it a try. Here it is: Maybe this way? The ship itself was a interesting set, with working propellers and steering. Original set used these parts: But they are out of production, so I have been forced to use similiar parts. They were linked with steering knob and rear wheels: There were a lot of flex parts in the set, but contest models could be built only with parts produced after year 2000. Rest of the functions are located around crane arm: I had some fun with the cab, becuase I have very small pile of white pieces, and I didn't wanted to have too many gaps on it. Here's how it works: This model also have an instructions: Can be downloaded from HERE. Parts list on Rebrickable Comparision of old & new: Brickshelf Bricksafe
