  1. There's a contest on LUGPol, about building truck with cab from 42043. So far I have rebuilt cab in red and added set of lights on the top of the cab. If someone is interested, I have made short instruction with part list: http://bricksafe.com...ning lights.pdf
  2. It is a normal 8043 set, instructions can be found on Brickset, or LEGO.com. Just replace all yellow parts (maybe except knobs) with white ones.
  3. Both cylinders are made from these parts: http://www.bricklink...Item.asp?P=4854 There is a string with set of pulleys inside, which pull the grey liftarms out, elevating the boom. Each cylinder is driven by single M motor.
  4. I have disassembled my copy and I could not resist using new pneumatics in something. I tried to make an alternate model for this set, but I ended with this: Actros clamshell parts put side to side look like ditch cleaning bucket, so I decided to make a wheeled excavator. Unfortunately, it will be not finished. The arm works quite well, except the centering of the bucket (pneumatic tubes collide with bucket links). The superstructure can be rotated by using warning light on the top of the cab. Front wheels can be steered by that bevel gesr under battery box. The blade and stabilizers are missing and I have no idea how to make them working with parts that are left. Whole excavator has got some major problems with stability, and that is the main reason why I will not continue building it. Also, I am used to have smooth shapes in my models, and all those holes and gaps look weird for me.
  5. Which wheels are you gonig to use in final version?
  6. In Wrocław. My friend works in shop that sells and lends LEGO sets and gave me info about delivery of new sets.
  7. From stational store. Bought for 825 PLN, which is, hmm, 200 EUR. I have almost finished building it, only few parts on the dump bed are missing. Only thing that concerns me are pneumatic tubes. They smell. Like chemical spray used in agriculture.
  8. Ok, got mine yesterday. I love new pneumatic cylinders, and how whole set is designed.
  9. M_longer posted a post in a topic in LEGO Town
Yes, it is anoter loader. This time it does not move, because wheels are fixed to the frame. But it can move the arm and bucket. I have forgot how enjoyable can be making such small models. Bricksafe MOCPages Flickr
  10. Well, I have instruction for winch used in my tow truck: http://bricksafe.com/files/M_longer/winchtest.pdf
  11. No. Color Part no. Part name ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 White 30065.dat Dish 4 x 4 Inverted 6 Black 3706.dat Technic Axle 6 1 Black 3707.dat Technic Axle 8 6 Light_Gray 6632.dat Technic Beam 3 x 0.5 Liftarm 1 Light_Gray 3713.dat Technic Bush with Two Flanges 12 Light_Gray 6553.dat Technic Connector (Axle) with Axle 1.5 4 Light_Gray 4185.dat Technic Wedge Belt Wheel The list is missing ribbed hoses, because Ldraw does not treat it as a single hose. But as far as I can see you will need at least 6 pieces of 20-24L long hoses.
  12. Ok, tell me why do you need instructions for something, that is basically belt wheels with axles and connectors inside?
  13. Like typical Ldraw file? Really, I have tried few and they work.
  14. Oh what a lovely shaped tubes :) Are you going to use it somewhere?
  15. But it is too wide for the 8258. Yor trailer is at least 6 studs wider than the truck.
  16. 42009 used lots of 2L black pins instead of blue 3L, to have boom built without blue dots:
  17. Your have forgot one thing. LEGO is making sets for kids. Small kids. Different colours helps them a lot finding needed elements trough building process.
  18. Which is out of scale, when compared to your trailer (what scale is it?) :) Your trailer looks like one of these with detachable goosenecks, but I don't see where it can be detached? Also, the neck itself looks like unfinished.
  19. Look for REDDISH Brown Tiles. They are right before tan z12 gears :) http://rebrickable.com/mocs/M_longer/drawbar-trailer
  20. It takes some patience, but it is possible to place all cables behind seats. Believe me, I have done that several times :)
  21. Another plane made from LEGO bricks that will fall down from the window? :)
