There are examples on github ....

Or just a micromotor with integrated hub and battery.

What ist the essential difference between Mindstorms App and Pybricks or Spike App ?

No reverse engineering needed, the protocol is published, so it's open for everyone. And all what third parties offer is based on this. And BT is documented too. Agreed, I proposed that to LEGO years ago, the answer was "perhaps"

This was long time ago, today the models have buffer capacitors ;-) just like with PU

I'm not a friend of that, cause while charging train has to stop and can't be used, right? One ?
  7. Lok24 replied to Phil B's post in a topic in LEGO Train Tech
Sure, but not in the system architecture It does. I have a program that controls hubs with the remote, you can turn the remote off or get far away, motor runs as before, you can connect again later exists (not from LEGO) Just marketing That would be a simple Y-cable ;-)

First time ever there is one system for all themes, completely programmable and with open protocol (and so every part of the system can be controlled by any external device with BT) That cannot be improved.

Hm. With PU you - in many cases - don't need any gear boxes, that's the advantage. How do you adjust the speed?
  10. Lok24 replied to Phil B's post in a topic in LEGO Train Tech
PU is much simpler and much more practical for nearly all other issues . Did you ever try GBC without any gear and fixed rpm?

How did you make a 12 V layout with 3 turnouts and signals on the floor, with all these cables? How long would it take to set this up? How easy a child could do this? And how to be modified? And how to clean away? I don't miss anything, and the children (5 and 7 years) like to operate signals and turnouts manually and follow the train on it's way with the remote in their hand (ii.e. to another room). Two or more can play on the same layout simultaneously.
  12. Lok24 replied to Phil B's post in a topic in LEGO Train Tech
12V was the worst system for children by far. PU is the best of all of them with all it's facilities and possibilities. Why does it "suck"?
  13. Lok24 started following PoweredUp Retiring?

Strange, they are marked " Temporarily out of stock"
  15. thanks, you can send links to pictures if something doesn't work as desired.
  16. You don' need a additional project. You have two sliders for two trains in one(!) project . What you have to duplicate is just the two sequences (drive/display and brake) in the same project on the surface. As @idlemarvel wrote you have to see both(!) hubs connected on the "BT"-screen
