TRAIN TECH Registry
Hello everyone – my name is Michael I browse through the forum regularly, although I don’t often post. I've loved Lego since I was a little kid - and now I've grown up into a big kid I still love Lego. My first train set was the little DB Steam Loco - set 126. I still have the bricks, although they are merged into quite a few thousand others. Trains are still my favourite things to try and build, but for a while the engineer in me enjoyed using Technic pieces and sets. Nowadays, my job means I need to travel extensively. I am rarely at home, so building in real brick simply isn't practical at the moment. This was a real issue for me until last year I discovered LDD. It gives me the opportunity to create while I travel. Then when LDD to POV-Ray Converter was released it meant I could visualise MOCs as if they were ABS. Wonderful . . . and a very big thank you to Martin Hronský!!! I have a Flickr photostream here : http://www.flickr.co...s/88718670@N02/ and a Brickshelf gallery here: http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=510921 Thanks to Eurobricks for being a great Lego resource and reference point.

LEGO BNSF (10133) strange font differences with the real thing
I don't think the font used for the logo lettering is a commercially available standard - I think the original is a specially designed font. Perhaps there may then have been copyright issues?

UK Diesel
Here's a range of links to various diesel and diesel/electric engines (with the links to both Brickshelf and Flikr pages where they occur) - some of which may have already been mentioned here: Class 08 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=208217 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=435883 http://www.flickr.com/photos/technoandrew/3661253250/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/bricktrix/4089737235/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/47420257@N03/4350143821/ Class 14 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=121842 Class 15 http://www.flickr.com/photos/84873294@N05/7975411395/ Class 20 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=285142 Class 24 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=119169 Class 33 http://www.flickr.com/photos/10063611@N06/8361773346/ Class 35 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=287010 Class 37 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=309664 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=309664 http://www.flickr.com/photos/bricktrix/3866875337/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/ugthepug/6268850913/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/47420257@N03/4346648610/ Class 40 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=411630 http://www.flickr.com/photos/bricktrix/4163377544/ Class 42 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=410501 http://www.flickr.com/photos/bricktrix/4160407260/ Class 43 http://www.flickr.com/photos/10063611@N06/8453185259/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/andywalker6/5488360596/ Class 44 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=116478 Class 47 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=318599 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=411526 http://www.flickr.com/photos/bricktrix/4163112250/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/murphyfp/3830845330/ Class 50 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=117012 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=142689 http://www.flickr.com/photos/oidan/5487504846/ Class 55 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=20266 http://www.flickr.com/photos/49974317@N05/6875021101/ Class 56 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=318598 Class 58 http://www.flickr.com/photos/44298368@N07/4259724378/ Class 59 http://www.flickr.com/photos/10063611@N06/8335254410/ Class 60 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=277291 http://www.flickr.com/photos/technoandrew/2245450130/ Class 66 http://www.flickr.com/photos/scruffulous/4189318320/ http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=481586 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=178205 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=235216 Class 82 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=24756 Class 87 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=318593 http://www.flickr.com/photos/41347876@N00/811745711/ Class 90 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=20860 Class 91 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=168320 Class 158 http://www.flickr.com/photos/madphysicist/4022418992/ Class 165 http://www.flickr.com/photos/brapps/8385237171/ Class 175 http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=420365 http://www.flickr.com/photos/gambort/4350178900/ Class 416 http://www.flickr.com/photos/10063611@N06/8370700419/ Class 442 http://www.flickr.com/photos/10063611@N06/8379173060/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/10063611@N06/8444053657/

Diesels, - the rot is setting in.
I'm just a little bit sad to see someone else convert this design to brick before me - but I think you've done a really good job in sorting out the original LXF for your own purposes and ultimately I'm really pleased to see how it turned out. Well done!

More great work from one of the 2 masters of MoW . . . and I see the other (Steinkopf) has already commented

Diesels, - the rot is setting in.
@ Lazarus, The Class 15 was scrapped long before the Railfreight livery was introduced . . . but one locomotive was preserved and for a short time the enthusiasts who bought her, did indeed paint the engine as you've shown. Nice job. By way of the bogies, you can indeed convert these to be geared - I think you and Locomotive Annie et al have the original LXF - but I'll let you solve that little puzzle on your own ;)

Diesels, - the rot is setting in.
As far as I'm concerned you are the owner of that LXF file - you acted in good faith so there isn't a problem for me. In fact, I'm still getting to grips with this forum so if you want to pass it on then it might save me causing havoc by doing things improperly :)

Beware: eBay fraud -- Train MOC instructions
Hi BallastIt's not about keeping them to myself - as I said I'd be delighted to share with anyone who asks, that's part of what I love about AFOLs. But at the moment I now have second thoughts about simply listing them openly on Brickshelf.

Beware: eBay fraud -- Train MOC instructions
@DaveBey - I've now deleted all the LXF files from my Brickshelf account. As I've said earlier in this thread, I have no issues sharing ideas and files with other decent AFOL - that's what I believe the community is about - but perhaps just simply posting them on Brickshelf was a mistake given how some, less scrupulous, individuals are benefitting.
