  1. It's the same ratio they always have... 10 bricks equals roughly
  2. Hi! Seeing as the Green Grocer set with all of its wonderful details is just around the corner, now is the time for me to finally get interiors for the Cafe Corner and Market Street sets. In another thread, I stumbled across this link: http://factory.lego.com/gallery/?parameter...87-bb091f051fce Beautiful designs, but my question is: Has anyone bought and installed some of these interiors yet? I'm looking for recommendations and appreciate your help. Obviously, the bakery furniture seems like a perfect fit for the bottom floor of market street, but I'm not so sure about all those other empty rooms. Thanks! Rocket
  3. But those stores will not have the 10185 Green Grocer set, because it is an exclusive. I'm visiting a friend on Monday who lives about 10 kilometers from the CentrO in Oberhausen. Needless to say, I'll be getting the set in three days!
  4. To make it brief: My Falcon's # is 6,729 and I'm located in Germany.
  5. May I ask when you ordered? I'm in Germany (more or less your neighbour), ordered on February 12 around lunchtime, and my order status remains unchanged. Getting a bit frustrated and antsy...

^ Well (and I hope I'm not straying too far from topic here)... Personally, I think Last Crusade is the least of the three. It feels like it was toned down a bit to appeal to kids. It is often silly just for the sake of silliness (not for the sake of storytelling), and the main villian Donovan is weak and idiotic compared to Belloq and Mola Ram. It's still a great movie, however, and I hope there will be more sets from it apart from the motorcycle chase.

Now that's what I'm talking about! The second movie is brilliant, but sadly so under-appreciated... Nice try, Lao Che On! *y*

[anal retentive]Well, if he's going to watch the movies in chronological order, than he should watch Temple of Doom first, it is a prequel to Raiders. The three movies take place in 1936, 1935 and 1938, respectively. But you can really watch them in any order, so starting with the original movie would be best.[/anal retentive] I love those movies to death, and those sets are wonderful. I especially like how they recreated the first scene from Raiders. Don't know why they gave us this machine gun vehicle in the truck set. It should have been the car with Belloq, Toht and Dietrich... I'd have preferred getting minifigs of those guys over getting the big gun. Now all we need is some Temple of Doom sets - I'm thinking Club Obi-Wan, mine car chase, the temple itself...
  9. The Y-Wing and Vader's Tie are now available at German S&H for EUR 8.99 each!

[zombie-thread] Well, I bought the UCS AT-ST last Friday, and amongst all the new gray goodness, there was one old grey part - and not a small one: a 4x12 plate! There's more than one of these in the set, but only one is affected. Is this bad quality control? [/zombie-thread]

Since when is Sallah one of the bad guys? What about Belloq and Dietrich? In any case, I agree with the Nazi soldiers being mostly background characters. If Lego doesn't do them, it should not be too much of a problem. Although this pretty much prevents us from ever getting the Ark-opening scene. Without all those ready-to-be-grilled Nazis it'll be pretty empty.

Three things I like about this: 1. I love, love, LOVE Indy! I also love, love LOVE Lego! A combination of both is just grand. 2. When I think of all those 1930s style vehicles we'll be getting (cars, trucks, motorcycles, hopefully planes later on), I get misty-eyed. 3. That Indy minifig is brilliant. Period. Can't wait to see Marion, Henry Jones, Belloq, Toht, Sallah, generic Nazi bad guys and many more. One thing I don't like: A Well of Souls set priced $19.99? That's just roughly 200 bricks... Come on Lego, we need at least one of those enormous jackal statues! One thing I'm hoping for: Sets from The Temple of Doom. We absolutely need Club Obi-Wan (with Indy wearing a white tuxedo), the mine car chase, and of course a 1000-piece set of the Temple itself!
  13. ^ It does depend on where you live. Some "backwater" customs offices are not accustomed to dealing with people importing stuff. That doesn't make tricking them any less illegal. As for it not being fair... Well, I don't think it's fair that I have to pay 19% VAT on things I buy, but it's what everybody in Germany has to do. Try whatever you want at your own risk but be prepared to bear the consequences. I just don't think it's fair asking stuff like that on a public message board. If somebody were to help you trick customs out of the kindness of their heart, just because he doesn't know better, and this gets noticed, then he is in trouble as well.
  14. I'm from Germany and I've been dealing with importing stuff from the US for quite a while. My advice? Don't do it, you'll only get into trouble. Those guys at customs know how to use the internet, and they're very good at finding out the correct value in a matter of minutes. You going there claiming it was much cheaper than it actually is will probably get you an accusation for tax fraud, and charges will be filed against you immediately. Even asking in a forum such as this is problematic... People from customs have been known to lurk at e.g. DVD message boards and come down hard on people who ask about how to pull a fast one on them. You're basically asking how to commit tax fraud! If you win the Falcon, the tax and customs fee you pay will still be based on its correct value, not what you paid for your raffle ticket. The good news: For a few months now, it seems that customs is taking shipping costs out of their calculations.
  15. Personally, anything from the Original Trilogy would be nice to have. Don't get me wrong, I like all six movies, but spending my childhood in the 80s just makes all those OT ships and vehicles seem much more iconic than their PT counterparts. Also, I'm no fan of battle packs and/or playsets. I love to construct ships - the longer the build, the better. The UCS Millennium Falcon (my favorite starship ever) coming out in October is like a dream come true, and although it is months away I already know there is nothing that could ever top that set for me.
