  1. Every year it amazes me what they think of and every year when I'm building it, I always have fun in the new or different techniques they use. And with all of the previous buildings, this will be a day one purchase for me.
  2. Ordered the Landspeeder, very curious!
  3. //Update Received the lighting kit from Game of Bricks today! Now to find time between building the Winter Village to install them... I've managed to install the lighting kit yesterday. At some points a bit fiddly, but overall good to do; Photo instructions were very clear in what you need to dismantle to install the various light strings. Quality of the parts are very good, Ali Express light kits are nothing in comparison! Here are two photos from the end result:
  4. Not quite finished yet, stern is currently in progress, but I like the build very very much! Not a lot of repetitive steps, except the ones you can expect, like the portholes. You can really see that they tried to make the build special, different techniques, intricate details and a joy to relax and build. even though it was mentioned in the various reviews, this ship is REALLY big. And sturdy, didn’t expect it to be structurally that rigid! When it is finished it gets lights and then a nice place on top of the cupboard in our living room.
  5. Even though I haven’t completed box one yet, i ordered the Game of Bricks light kit. When it arrives I’ll post my findings in this topic
  6. I received my set yesterday; probably a problem with DPD indeed. Up until Wednesday evening late the status on the Lego site and the DPD site was 'Order information has been transmitted to DPD' and Thursday morning it changed to on route and end of the morning the set was delivered...
  7. I think I muttered too soon... Just got an email from DPD saying they will deliver it today!
  8. My order is ‘shipped’ according to Lego since last Saturday, however DPD states on their website that only the label was created…. absolutely no idea now when to expect the set.
  9. Just regular shipping. Usually that gets me my sets with 3-4 days. Hopefully that that is the case now as well
  10. I’ve just seen that my set now actually has shipped, DPD site now has the shipping information and is currently ‘in transit’.
  11. Just saw that the status of my order changed from ‘processing’ to ‘warehouse’… Curious to see how long that takes, never had an order staying on processing for 5 days.
  12. Can imagine that being very frustrating... to be honest, seeing is believing here. I did got the email, but the status on the account page is still 'processing'. When that changes to 'shipped', I'll believe it's on its way.
  13. I had to wait for 10 minutes in a virtual queue this morning, but eventually was able to order one. Received the email confirmation a couple of hours later, so very excited! The order process mentioned that it would be shipped on the 8th of November, so fingers crossed that it will be.
  14. Seen the picture, can’t see any reason why this shouldn’t be real. what a set! Can’t wait to buy and build it…
  15. Yes, maybe I had to be more clear, but that’s what I meant; a detailed ship with - probably - some opening parts which shows some interior of the ship. Maybe the main hall, engine room and captains quarters. I don’t see a full interior happing also… but my hopes are even higher now that all other rumoured sets are becoming real sets (camp nou, bulldozer, tumbler,,,) can’t wait!
  16. A setting with a dock, be it wether it's Southampton Dock or Thompson Dry Dock, sounds nice, but I think chances are slim. Usually these big sets are one vehicle/building which is then very detailed. If rumours are true and this is going to be one very large set, I think we can expect more in terms of a highly detailed interior than a dock setting. Still, probably a day-one purchase for me... :-)

I totally agree with you. With the old vip system I bought quite a lot more Lego with Lego themselves, since the new thing went live I don’t and often wait until the other Lego selling stores have what I want and buy it there with a nice discount. yesterday, after a long long time, I thought I give it another go; was very interested in the Ulysses, and wanted to buy the shuttle to accompany that. After trying to get into the site for half an hour and then to find out it was sold out, I was very annoyed and sent a not-so-friendly message to customer service for this. Let’s see if they give me a reply, but for now, I’m done (again) with this new and ‘improved’ VIP system.
  18. Do you know exactly which parts you’ve added from your own collection? I’m thinking of making a Turbo Targa as well and want to order the extra needed parts 😊
  19. The B-Model from set 42030 was a Dump Truck, so maybe this'll be an updated version? From what I've read it contains Control+ elements, so probably three motors (moving, steering, movement of the container (can't think of the right word for it). Judging on it's presumed price of €250,-, I would say that this would be a reasonable assumption of motors and functions...
  20. Some 15 years ago I wrote a lot of reviews about hard- and software (not Lego related btw) and know how much time and effort goes into delivering a review that's easy to read, has explaining pictures and the information you want to know before buying the item. And with my reviews I didn't even had to put pieces together. I'm also one of those that prefers to read a review on a decent screen instead of scrolling through a review video on a mobile phone... I do view them, but only when a motorized set has something for me to see working. Please keep up your spirit about creating a review that fits your own standard! You're very good at Technic reviews and I always enjoyed reading them and regularly buying a set after reading your review. With one exception, the Land Rover 42100 review. I've read that before clicking the link to this topic and was surprised about the information, and in-depth quality (lack thereof). Now I understand and hope you'll find the inspiration to deliver some old fashioned good reviews in the future..!
  21. Bad experience? I've ordered a number of Lego sets over the years with Conrad, never had any problems and always delivered in the promised period... I do want the set, but as others also have said, I'll wait until a decent discount is available somewhere.

I do agree that having the VIP card in the Wallet on my phone is a positive thing, but that could have been accomplished with the old system as well I think. Furthermore, I've contacted Lego last week to give my opinion about this system. The reply that I got was more or less the same as what can be read in the Brickset post, but there was something that surprised me; the reply stated that if you want to use VIP points for an in-store purchase in another country, anóther step has to be added, because first your points need to be converted to the country you're in, then a voucher has to be made and after that you can use it. Also, they are aware of these issues, but the bottom line in the e-mail was "deal with it. It is here to stay."

There's an interesting article on Brickset with some answers from the 'VIP Director', the responses on that article say enough about the feelings on this new VIP system... We'll see how this new VIP system develops...
  24. What an amazing set! I like the fact that, from every angle, you can see and discover things, not just a great facade and dull rear, just like Ninjago City. I'm not a great fan of those movie products, but will buy this, just like I bought NC.
