  1. The same thought crosed my mind when I was building it. If only they made a Greek/ Spartan theme...it would be a no-brainner. Thanks, the ramp is actually a Sandcrawler original. When I took it apart I just knew I had to use it in the design.
  2. He'll probably hit the wall every corner for trying to lean into the bend. It's way too different. Maybe we could put them all on trikes?
  3. Secret Covert Operating Unmounted Tactical knights. As it shows in post 12 Thanks. But I don't think I can come up with a new acronym for Speeder Bike. Yes, except for the chains, wheels and weapons it is entirely build out of Sandcrawler parts. This is my biggest and almost single source of brown bricks.
  4. A connaisseur. It is actualy a mix of old and new. This could have been one of the early Watch buildings. But as you said the Igors didn't show up untill Nightwatch I think. carrot did enter the series in Guards! Guards! However I just like it as a base for the watchmen and since Discworld is full of raw magic someone might have taken a wrong turn. Like I said this is build in the classic style of "no backwalls". My next creation will have four walls again. Thanks for the compliment, it sort of worked out by itself. The front really acts as "the front" this way. A common technic in the old days when pretty building materials were expensive and DIY wasn't fashionable yet.
  5. One of the greatest films ever. When man were man and adventures still adventurers (instead of computergeeks).
  6. official pics in post 1 still more at Brickshelf the Invasion starts at post 28

I can only second that. And very, very large compliments for his idea of the sigfigs.
  8. Agreed He will pick-up as soon aas the engineers get the car "on the road" (I hope). Definitly too bad for Nakajima, he disserved more then this, but I think this illustrates why he will be stuck in midfield. Then new news: Williams has confirmed their participation in next season. And the official list of teams participating will come out on 12th of June.

You did a great job here. But I would like to suggest two things: First the gap between the front wheels of the truck and the bumper deserves a brick to fill it. And secondly I think the truck itself could use bigger tires. That is what you normally see on these rigs. The wheels on the trailer are perfect, don't change them. And thanks for sharing.
  10. Thanks for the compliment. Corporal Nobbs is usely just being a smartass and I think the grin goes well with that. However this face does look rather young. But I'm open for suggestions. Thanks. And you've read my mind. I am working on the Unseen University! However it is a BIG build and it will be done over a long period of time. The first building is finished and photographed. It is just awaitig photoshop.
  11. After showing the WIP some time ago, it took me a long time in tiny bits to complete the building to my satisfaction but here it is: It is build in the tradional City style, meaning no back walls. But it is constructed modular and splits into 4 parts. Here we see the entrance guarded by two very solid oakdoors. You never know who you want to keep out! Inside we see corporal Nobby Nobbs at the counter waiting for some citizen to be robbed who has been robbed. Here is some pore sod in the slammer. The rich can buy their way out. Captain Vimes enjoying the view from his balcony. In the basement we find the residential Igor, known to lend an extra hand when neccesary. They act as the instant medic and are very good at fixing people up. When they acknowledge they have their fathers eyes they mean it! Incase he forgets something the example is in the corner. At the door is sergeant Fred Colon, just waiting for nothing to happen at all. And finally we have Private Carrot and Cpl Nobbs at the gate. There's more on Brickshelf. Enjoy
  12. I agree! Me thinks that the circuit helped as well. Monte Carlo isn't the track where you need the most speed and downforce. And allthough Ferrari cought up this time we need to see them on a faster track. Lets see how they do in Turkey in two weeks.
  13. the story continues.... to be continued....again....
  14. Hi.

Looking forward to seeing some of your work. And happy building.
  16. I may have been to bold in my statement. Cars can be -in theory- four wheel drive in 2010. here is the original article. A sort of joked about Landrover but don't forget what Audi did to Ralley-racing in the 80ies when they brought their permanent four-wheel drive Quattro's. All the rules and regulations can be found here.
  17. The story continues: see more of the Alternative To-Siege Tower in the Brickshelf folder. to be continued...in post 11
  18. You really captured his expression! congrats on that
  19. Todays news: Ferrari going to court over the suggested cap. F1 management is starting to play "hard ball" stating that a F1 series without Ferrari is still possible. So to be continued... I have reread some of the new rule adjustments for next season and I am very interested in the four-wheel drive. Maybe Landrover can participate
  20. Well Cohen always appears with only a loincloth and a cape. And yes, I forgot the cape. the viking torso is being kept for one of his companions. So that will return later in "the series".
  21. Cohen the Barbarian The geriatric barbarian. You don't get the be this old in the Hero bussiness if you're not good. And Cohen is very old.... Brickshelf MOCpages
  22. Rincewind without the beard. This is more according to Kidby's artwork. The sad expression on his face is spot on. The printed beard could be a bit more scraggy but is the best Lego has to offer.
  23. It is working for me now. Uploading the invasion contest pics as I am typing.
  24. You never know when it will be back. The folders are not empty btw. If you look at deeplinked pictures they still work, meaning that the original file is still on the server. Maybe they are updating or something like that....
