  2. Welcome enjoy your time here and happy building
  3. Thanks for sharing. I saw a great space display real nice ships in classic colours. And the adventurers display, didn't someone show that here? And a cool way of making deer. I hope you enjoyed the show.
  4. for the classic pirates fans I checked bring back the blue baseplates On my own I asked for a survey what theme they should produce in the next year, that they keep showing the older sets and of course no country dicrimination in S@H and sets in general. Good thing they communicated the results of the last one BTW

Only 76% so there's room for improvement.
  6. Don't get me wrong I do think they all feature on the Discworld. However, technicly some are not part of "the Discworld series" As it says on the cover of the Wee Free Men "a story of Discworld" and not "number x of the Discworld series" and on the backcover "Set on the Discworld". I think this derives from the fact that the Discworld series (the books where it says "the Discworld series") are aimed at adults and Tiffany and Maurice are childrens books. Be it what may, I enjoy reading them all and that's what counts in the end.

Ah the Welsh, You don't need Lego castle: you've got the stuff right there Hope this helps not wanting any? Welcome
  9. basicly they telling the guy to jump (=spring) from the bridge and don't let them down. I'd rather see Jar-Jar jump
  10. It looks like it so I will be just lurking and saying nothing untill it's changed to a Brawn. Last race was quit entertaining again. Brawn is a great addition to the sports. My fear is that the rest will catch up waisting enough money to feed the world twice on this. Therefore I'm looking forward to the new budget rules. But for now let's see when the rest of the pack is putting on new diffusers.
  11. Welcome and happy building.
  12. My favourit is the Watch, with Rincewind and witches as a close second. Tiffany is not a part of the Discworld series btw. The story is placed on Discworld but that is a different story I feel lucky to own "all" the (reading) books and the maps. I pass on coockbooks and callenders. The books I buy double first in English and mostly a year later the Dutch version when it arrives. And then we have the map of Ankh-Morpork and Lancre as well. If you click the L below you can see my entire collections under "boeken" EDIT: last friday sir Terry won the LA Times prize for best young adult literature for Nation
  13. No I haven't But my son, aged 9, got a seven (out of 10) for his talk about StarWars and showing of part of my collection.

welcome fellow model train enthousiast. Enjoy your stay.
  15. The design of the tank as such looks great. i have no idea wether or not it resembles the original, but on its own its really nice looking. Still the wrong era for me so I won't comment on the rest. However I think who ever is getting this has a first class ship.

George is lucky he doesn't live in modern times. He would be prosecuted for animal cruelty.
  19. Nice job and I second the bowler hat.
  20. Wow, I really like the Dagger Landspeeder. It this going fast standing still. Very nice design you did on that one. This is the stuff TLC could have persuaded me to get into PT and CW.
  21. In defence; One of them is from New York and the other one probably has binary as his native tongue

Really nice MOC you worked out here. I agree with some suggestions to make it look more like a tree originated here. Maybe put some branches and leaves at the bottom of the first level / end of the stem. Like they come out from under the cabin. And the cabin is supported by four strong branches. And I would like to suggest to let some vines grow on the two brown planked sides, this will add to the idea it is build/ grown inside the tree. but still great job
  24. Cool, I had to get used to seeing a minifig this way but it's getter better every time I look at it.
  25. I am catching up. My bricklink order arrived today and it's a beautifull day here so I decided to take the pictures right away. As promissed before: the Beggars' Guild They are the oldest guild in Ankh-Morpork and certainly the richest; beggars don't tend to spend that much. Here we have an overview of the most famous beggars. Foul Ol' Ron and the Canting Crew Foul Ol' Ron and the Smell of Foul Ol' Ron Foul Ol' Ron is somewhat of a leader to this small pack. His smell developed a life of its own and the Smell is now often dwelling the streets of Ankh-Morpork by itself. Coffin' Henry the Duckman "Why do they call me the Duckman?" "There is a duck on your head." "No there isn't!" I tried the way Lego makes birds in MM style but it is to big, this works well for me. Arnold Sideways moving on wheels, and at the right height to "talk" you into a small donation. It should be a 4 wheeled cart but I haven't figured out a solution to that. The figures are based on the pictures in The Art of Discworld by Paul Kidby Enjoy.
