Thanks all for the nice words. Somebody in Japan likes it too. However google translate only finds it's Japanese and I have no clue to what they are saying. http://legoleaks.blog28.fc2.com/blog-entry-2358.html

Wonderfull work. The size of the Castle and still amazing details is incredible, truly inspiring. Love the trees too, great birch.
  6. I don't think they are all in the film. But seeing Cohen just led me to making the whole gang. Unseen Academicals is a great read. I happen to be preparing some figures; the Dean, Nutt/ Knett, Glenda/ Brenda, Julliet/ Julia maybe some others will follow later. So still a WIP. Thanks for the compliments, the lawn gnome head fits him rather well I think.
  7. I started working on the Silver Horde inspired by the soon to be made film by Snowgum Films. Silver-Horde_2 by L-space, on Flickr

Great work there StoutFiles. It'll really take you on a tour of the base with lots of things to recognise from the movie.
  9. Great work frogstudio. I really like the whole idea you built. Love your willow tree.

  11. Thanks for the review. So imo why not to buy: iit looks like something thrown together without any cohesion and not even living up to its designated target audience 8-14 years but more like 6+ Why to buy imo: It makes a great challenge to actually create something beautifull, every part of the Hoth base is there. All you have to do is use your own imagination and that's what is all about. Next we have the bactatank Luke. This will rise to at least 30 bucks on bricklink, so buying the set just for Luke is worth it because LEGO throws in a nice parts pack. I'm going for option 2; buy

This is loooking good. Great use of the space on a 32x32. The yellow roof looks okay too, maybe add an overhang? Keep it up.

  19. In creating the Discworld these are some of my favourite minifigs, Otto espacially. Otto - Sacharissa by L-space, on Flickr Otto Chriek is a vampire from Uberwald working as a iconographer for The Ankh-Morpork Times. Having to deal with flashlight is something Otto worked out over time. Sacharissa Cripslock is the lead journalist and knows how to handle a pen and can create snappy headlines selling more papers then ever.
  20. In didn't realise till now that the whole city was build without a pub. How did you get the union guys not to go on a strike? Looking good again LT, too bad your updating skills outrun my forum visits and I have to jump in time.
  21. That's a shame. Good luck with all the cleaning and other mess. I hope it all turns out okay for you.

Thanks all, there are some bricks hidden under the main structures to get them above street level. All buildings are based on the drawing and the book it comes from. Have a look at these: brickshelf, flickr, the Discworld index-thread to see more.

With the completion of the Unseen University more or less in sight ideas for the Grounds come up. The Grounds being all inside the walls, excluding the inside of the Main Octangle; the Courtyard. Some way or another the ideas com efrom the books but not is accurate as the buildings. I use it more as inspirational guidelines. So here is the first official addition to the Grounds. The microscale Unseen University. Originally inspired by the LZHHM contest on LowLug. This was a greaat opportunity to add some body to the Grounds.
