  1. Thankyou, everyone. It's very nice to here your encouragement and congrats, it's almost better than the actual prize. And a big thanks to everyone who made this happen, it was a lot of fun, and got me to building. Also, there were tons of other awesome entries. Great job everyone! Thanks again!

I'm blown away with so many people voting for my cannon foundry! If only this was PTV... Thanks everyone! My vote goes to: ZCerberus 13. Barristers Office A very clean and well done build, and the colours were very nice. I also really liked the sign.

Thankyou for your kind words everyone! I'm flattered to have it blogged. Ratshot, Well, I think it would probably look better on a larger building, and covering more area. I can understand if you run out of cylinders, it takes quite a few. I'd also try to use less supports (the 1x6 plates in your pic), because they tend to break up the flow and overall look of the roof. To clear things up a bit, the man in the red with the parcel was intended as the merchant buyer, and the other as the foundry owner. But it doesn't really matter. And, as the_green_avenger kindly pointed out, the grey barrel was supposed to the chimney stack, coming up from the oven. Also, if anyone is wondering about the cannon design, I posted it here. Here's an exploded shot to give you an idea of how it's built. ~Exo

This sounds like fun. I'd love to do the Cannon Foundry, if that's OK.
  7. Thanks for the comments! I kind of forgot to post this here. :P You are correct, this is slightly based of Dan Siskind's design, although the turret is completely my design.

Thanks everyone! Your comments are much appreciated. The heads are from the new Indy sets and are indeed slightly darker. The bayonet is a Brickarms prototype that is not available online. The flag was custom made and is from the Bricklink store Bricks & Customs. Thanks again everyone!

Here is a small vignette I made in the colonial era. Some of you might remember my Pirates of San Pedro diorama built for PTV last year. This is somewhat similar, just scaled down a bit. I plan on expanding this vig into a diorama, with a couple large buildings, and a small band of Caribs raiding. This vig is almost like a sample of something larger. Anyway, I hope you like it! A lone corsair going for a stroll: A disgruntled Carib Blowgunner: A Spanish Musketeer The Spanish Cross of Burgundy: A couple quick notes: This is not for PTVII, but I might make something similar that will be. The Scimitar and Bayonet are from Brickarms. The custom flag is from Bricks & Customs. The Pirate's torso is a decal and was found on Brickshelf (can't remember username) Thanks for looking!
  10. oo7 - 7 points Beautiful details all around, looked the most like a "captains cabin" to me. ~ Exo
  11. I'd love to have my 12-pounder and Ribauldequin design added... Here's a LINK to the topic. Thanks, ~Exo
  12. 29. Exotrator - The Pirates of San Pedro 26. Chrispockster - The Treasure of Indigo Isle 19. Lt. de Martinet - Attack on Fort de Triomphe I feel kind of bad voting for myself, but I worked so hard on my entry I couldn't resist. Looks like I'm gonna need a lot more votes... ~Exo
  13. 37. Chrispockster - Swashbucklin' 17. pe668 - Colonic Cannonball 26. Guss - Mickael the Cruel Chrispockster got my vote because I love how there is a sense of motion as the pirate swings by decapitating the other pirates. I liked pe668's entry becuase it was just hilarious, and seemed very evil. I also like Guss' entry because.. well, it was very cruel. :pir-skull: A lot of great entries for a great contest. Well done everyone! I can't wait for the Large division voting... ~Exo

Thanks for the kind words everyone, I'm glad you like them. Sure thing! Here you go... Sorry about the bad picture quality, but I think it gets the message across. I used this piece to connect the barrel to the truck to keep the barrels rounded shape. The axles are cut flex tubes, in case you're wondering. Like I said, you're welcome to use the design, as long as credit is given. ~ Exo

9-12 pounders 10a; Misc. Guns 2c Hello everyone, I just I'd share my cannon and Ribauldequin design with you. You may use both, as long as you give me some credit. Here's my 12 pounder, which I used in my PTV entry, "The Pirates of San Pedro". It's really quite simple... And a rear shot... And here's my Ribauldequin. I know it's a bit medievel, but I thought it looked pretty good beside a 1700 century soldier. Thanks for looking! ~Exo
