Thanks TheLegGodt. That's what I thought.

Does anybody know about VIP access dates for Germany? Is it also May 13, or is that U.S.A. only? I was at my local LEGO store in Frankfurt the other day but they couldn't tell me if VIPs have early access. They were out of store calendars also.

Wow! This is a really great set ... I am impressed by all those little details and how they integrate into one single whole. Must. Have. One. Two. Yes. Expelliarmus. Imperio!
  4. 60042 Police Chase is a good start, then. Although I'd say the female crook doesn't look criminal but more apathetic ...
  5. They've been on there for awhile now, has nothing to do with them appearing on S@H ... don't hold your breath.
  6. ... or the summer wave in 2014? Though I doubt it ...
  7. € 19.99 ... I don't expect them to be much cheaper once/if they will ever be available through S@H ...
  8. Strange, isn't it? everybody can seem to order/get stocked straight from them, but no S@H ... They had receivers at the Legoland Shop, but I don't know if they are the V2 receivers ... will check next time.
  9. Thanks for the info, Klaus-Dieter. In fact, I was searching for a possible rumor/discussion thread yesterday ... and today it's there. The Police theme isn't surprising; after all, it's been three years since the last release of a City Police HQ (not counting the Forest Police theme). I like the Logging Truck; maybe there is even some hope after all that we might get more logging sets in the future, maybe even a sawmill. Also looking forward to the Car Transporter. As for the Police stuff ... I'm kind of curious to see how they come out with the special emphasis on the "breakout" ... maybe there will be some new/interesting features and building techniques.
  10. I picked up a few servo motors today at Legoland Günzburg, they have them in stock there. Which makes me wonder all the more why they can't seem to be available through S@H ...
  11. Yeah, I wouldn't think that we get pictures until maybe four weeks prior to the official press release. The folks over at TLG are usually pretty good about keeping images of the modulars under lock and seal so they don't leak early. With 10232 Palace Cinema, images surfaced around December 30, 2012, with the official press release following soon after, around the middle of January.
  12. Great stuff! I like the "I Am Lego" poster, it's funny Absolutely; I'm thinking of bus stops or trains platforms, particularly the bus stop in 8404 Public Transport. Or maybe some advertising columns, using these parts.
  13. My thoughts exactly. Guess I'll redeem some VIP points and get it while it's still available.
  14. I just noticed this, and I don't know if it's been mentioned already by somebody else, but what really irks me a bit is the fact that the middle section of the 60022 Cargo Plane is totally inaccessible. It's basically a 6x14 studs area of dead space. I realize it's probably due to sturdiness issues as the back section of the plane swings sideways, but it still bothers me. Anyone else find this a bit annoying?
  15. Well, I have so many spares of this antenna as there's always an extra in the sets which have them ... So I'll just add one, set up some black thread between the town hall and cinema from 10184, and Minifig Marty is all set to go back to 1985.
  16. AFAIK, the modulars usually don't feature stickers ... 10232 Palace Cinema was the only exception thus far (and I can see why), so I don't think you'll have to worry about stickers.
  17. Wow ... this looks really great! So ... who else is thinking of getting this set, putting it next to 10184 Town Plan and recreating the movie?
  18. Regarding the interior, it would be awesome if there was a kitchen (or food preparation area of some sort) ... if the "dining area" is kept outside, this should be possible. However, with tables and chairs outside, there won't be much left of the sidewalk.
  19. I like the set ... I'm not suprised the price went up, after all, that's a trend we saw in the years past, and once it goes up, it probably won't go down again. So I guess I'll do what I did last year: Buy one, preferably when you get double VIP points, and then wait until next year when this hopefully goes on sale, then buy a couple more. I like the mechanism of the carousel, as many have pointed out, shouldn't be too hard to motorize ... put in your own imagination. I also like the new prints like the horse and the lollipop, and of course the teddy bear and the pretzel are awesome. As someone has mentioned before, the only thing that really lets me down is the missing light brick ... this has been part of every WV set thus far. Overall, I think this set will fit in quite nicely with the set from two years ago, WV Post Office (especially the gacebo), maybe even better than it does with last year's set ... but nevertheless, I like it and will add it to my collection.
  20. The only way I see this could be achieved is by adding a plate per curve. Since this monorail can handle much steeper inclines than your usual train could handle on normal track, maybe even raising each curve by one brick per segment would be possible.
  21. LOL This is awesome. Maybe someone is going to be inspired to do a MOC and a Lego-animated movie which tells the story of the release of 88004. Anyway, I'm waiting to see if it's also going to be available in the European S@H ... I guess we'll find out tomorrow.
  22. Thanks so much for clarifying this. As I've said, this is an excellent MOC ... ever thought of submitting it to Cuusoo? Also, thanks for sharing your points motor design (which is another issue on which I started another topic). As mentioned before, I'm not that familiar with the "newer" Technic pieces released after, say, 1992 (and have only recently built some new Technic models), so I tried to track down the various parts ... I think the white clutch gear is the one that comes with the 8293 PF Tuning Set. Keep up the good work!
  23. I don't think, either, that calling out somebody on the repeated failure to meet announced deadlines etc. is being rude. – I also don't give too much about the "soon" ... with Lego, the term "soon" tends to be interpreted rather flexible. I guess we'll have to wait until next week then, eh?
