  1. Can you tell us who the "few illegal technics" could be found? From my point of view there are no such. The missing central differential has nothing to do with the functionality or the quality of this MOC. The problem is, that even with a lot of tweaking you got it not to work right.
  2. Today i had time to play something around. Got the clutch stable but then the problem changes to the drive rings in the gearbox. What is funny is that if i drive forward there comes a moment of stopping the car from to much resistance without any mechanical fail. If i drive then backwards (without switching) i can drive endless. Looks like the resistance of the mechanic himself is too big. I tried a lot of different axle connectors for the drive rings in fact that the build quality of this pieces will vary heavily. I found a combination so that switching is no more a problem but with every step forward it will be clearer that the gearbox is not able to handle the weight of the car. This is in my opinion not a problem of Sheepo, it is a problem of the possibilities with drive rings. But everyone who likes the car should keep in mind, that for the huge price for the parts you get not a working model. I think also Lego will reject the car not for the complexity but for the instability of the gearbox. Maybe as suggested in another thread they came up with the conclusion to make better parts for gearboxes, Who knows?
  3. I finished the build one week ago. For me it's a masterpiece. There is so much detail and also these modularity. But... I think that the not so good working gearbox is the price for this kind of build. I have the same problems like all other that you can drive without the body but not with him. I tried everything from 1 to 3 rubber and nothing works. There are 3 problems in my eyes. First, the switch between 4 and 5 has no zero point, its a question of luck that the switch will fall in neutral. Second, the coupler is not able to handle the weight of the car. Most of the time especally in 5 the driving ring in the coupler will fade out from gear an the mechanic is not able tho resist. Last, there are to much dead gears. In 1 you have eleven gears to drive without need. This brings a lot of resistance to the motors. Anyway, i have no idea to make it better :-) From building view it looks perfect. I think this car reaches a border between the used technic and the usability in relation to its original.
