  1. Which stores? Also, where are Juniors sets located in stores, generally? Are they on the "lego aisle" or are they usually in a section for younger kids' toys? On that note, did we ever get the US price for the Juniors Batcave?
  2. No one knows, dude. March-April is what was being tossed around but with them popping up on retailers' website listings we don't really know for sure. Definitely a bit weird, but I imagine March-April is the 'street date' but we may see them in the wild before then-- last year's castle theme was supposed to launch in August but started popping up in May/June, for example.
  3. He has appeared in the show, though. The sets don't really seem based off of specific scenes of the show (though I've only seen one season on Netflix), if they keep going with USM sets they might give us Iron Spider, Black Suit spidey, other variants that have popped up in the show. Won't get my hopes up though.
  4. Selfish or not, I totally get it and agree. I don't really see how the SDCC figs are good for anybody except resellers. It might get a little hype and attention for the Lego booth at the show but it leaves a bad taste in a lot more people's mouths afterwards. Especially, like someone else pointed out, with the exclusive DC figs since we don't get jack for non-Batman characters in the actual sets. As has been mentioned, they're on Toys 'R' Us's site but not to actually order. And no one has reported finding them in stores. I don't think they're actually available yet. Probably in a few weeks, closer to mid-February.
  5. Nicely done. I like seeing remake MOCs like this!
  6. That's also a good plan. I dunno why I didn't think of it since I was just in the TMNT thread!

I still "play" with mine to an extent. A lot of my new sets since coming out of my dark ages are Superheroes or LotR so I like setting up (and then shamelessly acting out) little heist scenes, battles, etc. Kid at heart, and whathaveyou. It's "weird" now but when I'm a dad in a few years I'll just be playing with junior, so whatever.
  8. Mostly things that can't/won't happen. Would love to see Spawn or Hellboy but I mean, yeah right. Realistically? Would be super cool if they got some Nintendo licenses like Metroid or Zelda, those fit well enough with Lego's brand styling.
  9. I'm not optimistic they'd ever decide to make that many trans-clear or trans-green pieces. Would be super cool, though. Also I know I'm the odd one out but for some reason I really like Nightwing's glider. Objectively I know there's nothing special about it but it just looks so cool to me for some reason. I do wanna give him a bike though. Wouldn't mind grabbing that Robin polybag, pretty similar to the batcave motorcycle but in red/black.
  10. New Riddler is one of my favorites! Worst is probably one of the first SW aliens from back in 1999-2000, they were all pretty bad. Best, I'm pretty partial to the new Mr. Freeze though I know he's not the most popular. Deadpool might be the best adaptation I've seen though. So I'll go with Deadpool, he's just so perfect for the character.
  11. Love it. The 12fps doesn't really hurt it, still very amusing! Love the shots of the uruk-hai's despairing face.
  12. Isn't a lack of news on Agents because of poor coverage for Agents still on topic for Agents?
  13. He's been interpreted a lot of ways over the years. He wasn't very croclike at all in the animated series, for one. I think Leatherhead's figure is a pretty valid interpretation of ol' Croc.
  14. +1. Arrow is a much better show in general. Better serialized drama, less formulaic "NCIS but with more fantasy."
  15. Probably lots of belts and a trench coat, since he's the edgy one.
  16. If anyone knows they haven't told yet.
  17. The problem with that AoS idea is, where's the part that makes kids say "Yeah, I want that!" compared to a spidey set, or Cap, or something else. Evidently kids like the characters they recognize and I'm not sure kids are a big part of AoS's fanbase. I'm not sure Pirates really count as 'evergreen' in any sense either. Lego certainly doesn't seem to see them as a core line of any sorts. Also I can see the argument for TMNT being part of Superheroes but it tends to focus entirely on DC and Marvel. It stands well enough alone as its own theme, especially since TMNT as a franchise, while comic-based, isn't really comic-centric anymore. People know Batman and Spider-man and such as characters that originated in comics but I think for the general public TMNT "started" with the '80s cartoon, even if it was a comic adaptation back then. Or, maybe they only wanted two subthemes of Superheroes.
  18. I'll most likely be waiting a couple months anyway. At least til tax returns. Either way, like I said. I've already spent $20 on a Nightwing figure plus parts I have almost no use for (don't MOC a lot of vehicles, not a whole lot else that chopper is good for). Besides, if it was objectively not worth it there would be no custom minifig business. For reasons you mentioned I could maybe see a Winter Soldier promo polybag. I have a knack for missing out on every single one of those, though. I'm still not confident Marvel will see a D2C set unless maybe they do a helicarrier, which I don't have a big interest in. I'd like to think there might be a store exclusive but I think we'd have at least heard a rumor of it by now. The rate things are going, just because DC has to do more animated shows eventually doesn't mean they'll stick around long enough to get sets based on them. As long as they're going through Cartoon Network, I'm not going to count on seeing much on that front. You didn't like that Riddler? I love him. Way better than the previous ones we've gotten from Lego, plus worth it just for the green bowler hat. Agreed on AoS. There's just not really much to go with there since it's not like the big marketable characters show up in show anyway. And that's what I (and others, I think) are thinking/hoping with the evergreen status. I'd love to see Superheroes expand to get as much (or even half as much) retail space as Star Wars and City.
  19. Those are awesome! But jeez, are they all canon? I'm so far out of the loop these days with Star Wars- haven't really been into it since Episode 3 came out. Mind-boggling.
  20. It's frustrating when 'news' reports end up being editorials.
  21. Probably a little of both. Even with Michael Bay attached (maybe especially with Michael Bay attached) the movie is kind of up in the air right now. A lot of people are skeptical and even with the new show pretty successful it's kind of a gamble as to how well it will do. The last Turtles movie didn't rake in insane amounts of money, as I recall. It didn't flop or anything but we didn't see any sequels, either. Add to the fact that other than the Avengers, Lego hasn't always had the best luck with movie tie-in sets. I don't get the idea the Iron Man 3 or Man of Steel sets are flying off the shelves like mad, Lone Ranger obviously didn't either. Same for Prince of Persia and the non-boat PotC sets. They're probably treading lightly. And 7 sets is a pretty decent wave for a fairly new theme anyway.
  22. I think it's already been semi-confirmed (though I don't remember the source) that the other sets are all movie tie-ins.
  23. I suspect with the movie still a ways off (further than Iron Man 3 was at the time of the toy fairs last year) they may still be fairly under wraps. I'll be pleasantly surprised if we see some stuff, though, even if my mind is already made up to buy whatever sets I need for the full GotG team + Ronan the Accuser. Two sets doesn't necessarily make a pattern, though. The other JLA members we got, Superman and Wonder Woman, originally popped up in a set together without Bats. That being said, it's not looking good for another DC wave this year. Basically this, especially since (at least in my opinion) we can get a lot more interesting variants than if they just give us the movie versions. I generally prefer my Lego Superheroes colorful, not all clad in black uniforms. Batman and Spider-man will almost certainly be our Police and Fire. The hope is if we start getting more set per year we'll be able to get equivalents to City's other things, too. Yeah, City is dominated by emergency services but there's always non-fire/police sets in the vehicle lines and such.
  24. I'm in the same boat. I use the Chima figs with some of my castle stuff and my croc tribe could use a big brawny chieftain.
