  1. Great looking ship, ideal for the job at hand! I would've liked to see a few more close up shots of the action. K
  2. Nice little build :) The astromech with the laser cutter is a cool addition! If i had to change anything it would be to add a row or two of bricks to the walls, just to emphasise the tight quarters you find yourself in! But apart from that , well done!
  3. I really like this type of scene, with a sense of anticipation of all hell about to break loose! I like the fact that it's dual level as well, adding height to the build. There are some great SNOT techniques here (of course ) but I can't help feeling you've gone a bit over the top with the wall greebling, mainly in the upper level. I know you are trying to avoid a blank wall and create interest, but sometimes a wall is just a wall. Would a prison really have that much exposed machinery/electonics on a detention level? Not too sure about the crates either they seem a bit out of place. Storage right outside a prison cell? In spite of my personal niggles, still a great build !
  4. Thanks folks, all your kind comments are greatly appreciated
  5. I really like this, you seem to have a knack with rocks and the surface level is great! Nice story too, looking forward to finding out who the traitor (or hero? ) is!
  6. Yep , love the floor and the antenna, both very well done!
  7. I like the combination of interior /exterior - sometimes that doesn't work so well, but you've really pulled it off! Great build! K
  8. I like this :) It's a simple at first sight, but then you realise the technicalities involved with the SNOT and the rocks and the lava. Great job! K
  9. That's the idea! Imperial architecture often gets repeated in the films, and seeing as the only detention block we've seen is on the Death Star, I assumed they would be similar.
  10. prison01 by Kaitan Tylerguy, on Flickr Whilst other alliance troops kept the Imperials busy, my squad, accompanied by Capt LegoFjotten’s men, made our way through the maintenance tunnels, climbing down into the bowels of the prison. Once we arrived at the right spot, our demolitions expert blew a lovely big hole in the wall :) Then all hell broke loose… The Imps REALLY didn’t want the prisoners to escape prison02 by Kaitan Tylerguy, on Flickr prison03 by Kaitan Tylerguy, on Flickr There were losses on both sides prison04 by Kaitan Tylerguy, on Flickr But the LegoFjotten and his men fought bravely and kept the Imps at bay. prison05 by Kaitan Tylerguy, on Flickr So my troops and I from Alliance Support could free the prisoners prison06 by Kaitan Tylerguy, on Flickr prison07 by Kaitan Tylerguy, on Flickr prison08 by Kaitan Tylerguy, on Flickr And escort them back through the hole, through the maintenance tunnels to the waiting evacuation ship. prison09 by Kaitan Tylerguy, on Flickr prison10 by Kaitan Tylerguy, on Flickr Extra shot :) prison12 by Kaitan Tylerguy, on Flickr
  11. You know I think this is fantastic already, Bob, but the addition of the lights is just - Wow :)) Yep cos that's the only way you can win.

You know what? If you add one or two play features to the upper level, this would work as two separate sets - like the rancor pit and Jabba's palace. As someone who has tackled cloud city myself, I can appreciate the effort you have put in to get the 'look' whilst restricting the piece count. I hope when Lego finally get around to revamping their Cloud City, they take a look at yours first! K
  13. There are custom Revans on ebay, have been for a while, maybe it was them?
  14. All this lava does seem to have brought out the bloodthirsty side of people ! A great build, I like the use of lights, and the astromech just getting out of the way of the blaster bolt :)
  15. Double ditto from me as well :)
  16. Kaitan replied to darkrebellion's post in a topic in LEGO Star Wars
Nope - earlier in the scene, wedge talks to red three and ten and that female pilot and another male pilot in the same uniform respond - it was that male pilot that flies into the super star destroyers bridge :)
  17. Kaitan replied to darkrebellion's post in a topic in LEGO Star Wars
There has actually been 3 female pilots (not including Celia Imrie - don't know if the character has a name - in Phantom Menace) As mentioned above, the A-Wing pilot that DID appear, but got dubbed with a male voice. And two others that just didn't make it at all, one older (possibly a-wing as well?) and one younger who is definately an x wing pilot
  18. And I assume once an entry has been posted, the chosen sector can't be changed?
  19. Samoa is the last place on earth to see midnight, and Samoa time is -11 GMT
  20. One of the problems with this episode - no reason to reveal your position early.... unless you are in the Empire, apparently....
  21. I tend to buy OT sets, and I'm afraid it's generally the minifigures that sway my purchases nine times out of ten. :) I'm always looking to see what is useful, new parts etc, and what I can use in my own mocs. Many sets never get built, just merged into the rest of the collection.
  22. Great scene, love all the greebles - the frayed string around the pipe is particularly effective - Must remember that one :) Nice ominous story too, looking forward to the next one! K

Love it! The texturing and handling of the front and rear shapes are particularly impressive. I notice some of the windows open just like the original - Is there an interior? Well done! K

Aaand now its changed back to the 28th April for Lego uk....
  25. Well unless the sets I want are at a very good price, I won't be bothering with May 4th.
