  1. On bricklink, it says it is 11.33 studs high.
  2. holy megabloks... That is really good for just getting started building again. Those look really nice, I love the captian's house, the tavern, the tower, I love all of it! I really like how you used bley round bricks, sloped bricks, and normal bricks at the base of the tavern, it makes it look like real stone! Great job, I can't wait to see more!

This looks great! It really looks like something that you would see on a dusty road in the american southwest. Your techniques are great, and I really like your missionary figure. The dusty road looks good, too, but you could add in a cactus or cattle skull to mix things up.
  4. Well, we were all kind of thinking that it was getting out of hand, someone would post their french ship and someone would post some redcoats destroying a ship and then someone would post a redcoat getting beheaded...ect. You can do that all you want in threads that you post, but not in other's threads. I actually agree, the stuff that we did was hillarious, but it took away from the MOCs and the overall lego experience.

Agreed. It is quite a magnificent fortress, but it needs some more interior detail. The exterior is incredible (that tiled floor is amazing) but it looks fairly empty on the inside. Perhaps some tapestries, beds, more kegs, lanterns, pictures, and other things you would expect to find on the walls of a castle could be added.
  6. Martin! You're back! Nice to see you again, man. Where have you been? I just need to tell you, we can't do the redcoat/bluecoat thing anymore. And also, this was last year's contest . But if you want to post your MOC of pirates doing what pirates do, go right ahead! You just can't win a BSB for doing it.
  7. I would like to know, how many crew do you think I would need? What would be an adequate number if the ship will have 16 cannon below deck, 2 carronades, 6 deck guns, and 3 masts? I was thinking: 1 per below-deck cannon (16) 1 per deck gun (6) 2 per carronade (4) 1 per mast (3) 1 at helm (1) 1 officer for every 5 men (30/5=6) 1 Captian 1 Admiral Total: 37
  8. I was actually thinking the apocalypse could happen in the near future (2012 :skull: ) and that it could happen suddenly. Our survivors escape the burning cities and begin to build a small settlement in the ruins of a bombed-out town. I was thinking that we could have it be 10-15 years after the town was founded.

This is really good. I love the way the colors are the same, so it looks like the castle is coming up from the sand. At least our pirate has a decent place for him and his pet crabs to sleep!
  10. Wow! These are exceptional! The attention to detail is really quite amazing. I love the shako decals and the guns. I may use your multibarrel method for a Gatling gun. Did you use Brickarms clips?

The Pillage the Village contest is over-it has been for the past 8 months. Be careful with what you post, though it is understandable since you are new here. Anyway, the contest is over but you can still post your lego creations, which we always like to see!
  12. What? Sorry Kasper, this contest happend last year (and what a heck of a contest it was!), and all the prizes have been given away. There will be more contests, though!
  13. Based on current prices, here is what I want (reallistically) in the next wave: Wave 2 (2010): Small Imperial Base, with 2 soldiers, a cannon, and something to defend it- $15 Large pirate island, 2 large towers with a rope bridge connecting them, an imperial rowboat, and 2 pirate cannon. Includes Pirate Captian, 3 pirates, and 1 soldier, and one captian (soldier with plume)-$70 Imperial ship, with 2 cannon, 1 soldier, 1 captian , and 1 governor/admiral- $50 Small pirate ship, with one mast, and one rotating cannon. Includes 3 pirates-$30 *Soldier's Camp, with 3 soldiers, 1 captian, 1 cannon (like in cannon battle), a weapon rack, and Tent- $20 *Extention to Soldier's Fort, a 1 level barracks/blockhouse with 2 cannon pointed out, and a small house with a sloped roof. It makes a fort that actually is defendable, provides a dock for your imperial ship. Includes 2 cannon, 3 soldiers, 1 captian, 1 generic pirate, 1 pirate captian- $50 *want but may not get

Great minifigures, I especially like King Louis; good thing lego heads are removable :pir-skull: . Did you cut the ends off of that crown? I think it looks good.
  15. Since when do lego minifigures have noses? WHAT?!?! Did you say DARK AGES?!?! NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! I hope he stays on this forum...
  16. Those are looking excellent, Ozzie! The feather complements the hat really well. I really enjoy your minifigs. You should put them on brickshelf, so when you run out of download room you can always go there.
  17. Admiral M replied to Bonaparte's post in a topic in Pirate MOCs
Magnificent! Truly a work of art! The minifigures are stunning, the details are amazing, and that SNOT brick texture! I thought it was a sticker when I first looked at it! It's so realistic!
  18. Lookin' good, Sir Wellington! That rocket is quite realistic looking, I love the way you made it. It really is something I would expect to see on an 18th century battlefield! What was your reference?
  19. Brickshelf is working again, so here are some pictures of the ship. The stern currently has no interior, but that will change (as soon as I figure out how to add it)! The ship now has white gunwhales. Do you think it looks better in blue? And a closeup of the parrots (thanks Blackmoor )
  20. Admiral M replied to Hound Knight's post in a topic in Pirate MOCs
Huzzah, Captian Hound Knight! Another great ship for british shipyards! I see you cut back on broadside cannon. I think it looks better with 3 per broadside. I think it needs a pair of brickbuilt cannon in the front (carronades) and it wouldn't hurt to add some marines, but it really looks great! Keep on building!
  21. I fixed the stern, and the ship is pretty much complete. However, brickshelf still isn't working so I can't post pictures. I am still not completely happy with the shape and there are a few things that need perfections, but i'm doing pretty good for now.
  22. It's back down again... The folders are gone, but the files are still there... does anyone know how often this happens? This is the first time it has affected me.
  23. I hope he's got some good sewing skills: If he wants to sleep on a lego bed, he'll need to have a LOT of lego capes! This'll be a huge project! I can't wait to see the result!
  24. Really? Because in the pictures, they still look quite good! Do you have some pictures of your ship alone? It looks really nice, and I would like to see how you made it.
  25. Here are 2 colorschemes, the red one, the traditional franco-spanish colorscheme for the napoleonic war, the second, the british one. Which do you prefer?
