i am sorry, you are right, i could swear it was longer but obviously my memory is not the best. but i still remember seeing the first star wars movie (episode IV) in cinema when it was released. more than 30 years now; i hope this is correct.

this is a typical story of how the lego company behaves. 6 years a go i participated in a student lego building contest. 10 groups of students were invited to berlin to show what they build. afterwards we had much trouble t get our money which we spend on renting a car, fuel, parking tickets, etc. it was badly organised by an advertising company.but the worst thing was the contest was a cheat. after seeing that a tv team filmed only three of the groups buildings (the exact 3 groups who won) before the committee who should decide who win even saw them, it was clear that the winner was already set from the beginning. what i also didn´t liked that many groups cheated. you got exactly 5000 lego pieces from the lego company in advance and you were not allowed other pieces. many groups ordered other pieces via ebay or brought anything they like. also the measures of the buildings was defined and some are build higher and wider. we were really angry about all of it, in fact so that 2 of my group never bought any lego since then. i am still a lego fan but i never participate in a lego contest again.

i think they should do lego polls twic a year because we have 2 waves of sets each year. that would be only 4 polls when the licence ends in 2011. that is 15 years of star wars lego and thats a long time and a lot of sets and i can´t imagine what has been left off apart of some minor characters which haven´t been mad into minifigs yet.

the endor set with the bunker is great but i expected the endor platform where the imperiall shuttle landed too. ok it has a lot of minifigs and the speeders and the at-st as well as the ewoks glider but all of the except the bunker itself was available in older sets so its no use for me in buying it. The only reason to buy this set would be the endor bunker and the rebel minifgs. i love the hoth set, so i will buy 2 of them at least because when i don´t buy the endor set i can buy 2-4 hoth sets and i love to have more tauntauns, cannons and minifigs.

Raiders Set: Submarine Base - Submarine, Submarine hangar (radio control room, lots of crates, fueling equipment, torpedoes, crane, repair dock) Last Crusade Set: Tank German Battle pack with officer and grey soldiers with weapons.

Does anyone know where i can buy the new Darth Vader Tie Fighter # 8017 around Frankfurt, Germany?

my last set of 2008 was INDIANA JONES Flying Wing purchases on 23rd december.

in frankfurt, germany (galeria kaufhof) there is the same problem. They are the first in this area who have the new sets usually around christmas. 1 day before christmas they had the new indiana jones sets. (flying wing & shanghai chase); but only 5 each. 1 day later all sold out, now they have none and almost no star wars lego, apart from the older ones. construction lego: all the cheaper sets sold out.
