  1. Wow, that thing is huge! The suspension works really well, too. Also, it's one of the sturdiest studless constructions I've ever seen, the chasis doesn't appear to hardly bend at all! o.o TLH
  2. Why only one reply? This is a great MOC! The studded sides make it look very nice. The only thing I would change would be to increase the speed of the motors or gear them up, but I'm not sure if you would have the same precision. TLH
  3. Read people's minds and manipulate thoughts. For evil of course. TLH
  4. I don't mind the looks- it's not half bad. But the functions... TLH
  5. Thanks! It's not exactly minifig scale, but using the inverted bracket and 1x2 modified plate, he can sort of ride it:
  6. Thanks! I actually didn't think that was an illegal technique, as it doesn't seem to be actually stressing any parts. TLH
  7. I got mine today, and they're awesome! Thank you for organizing this raffle, CopMike, and your generousity is beyond belief! TLH
  8. Wow, so far it looks amazing! I think the dark orange looks great. Good luck! TLH
  9. In spirit of the LEGO Movie soon to be released, I decided to buy a TLM movie set, the 70800 Getaway Glider. In fact, I bought 2 of them, so I decided to build a B-model of it. I apologize for the bad photo documentation- It's dark pretty much 90% of the day in the winter. Without further ado, here it is: The B-model retains most of the set's original parts, except, of course, the glider, which has been made into a different getaway vehicle: The rear view: Bottom view: A close up of the cockpit; you can see how I used revolvers to get the compound angle for the windshield. Here's another close-up, showing the technique I used to angle the exhausts: It has a few play features- the angle of the wings is adjustable and the rocket engine can rotate. A pic of the extra parts: The parts of interest- a 1x1 dalek brick, an inverted 2x2 bracket, the 5L chain, Emmet's brick, and last but certainly not least, a mustache. That is one of the best molds ever IMO. Oh, and ignore that 3L pin; somehow it snuck its way into the picture. Also worthy of mention is the complete bank sign: The new moulds, so far exclusive to the TLM sets: Unfortunately, the bracket for Emmet's brick is used for the exhausts, so he'll just have to carry it in his hands Also, Sheriff Not-A-Robot is missing a revolver: And a straight-on shot to finish it off: Hope you guys like it! Of course, C&C is always appreciated. TLH
  10. I guess it's pretty much for show, but it looks amazing! While I really don't like that negative caster, the gear change mechanism is ingenious! TLH
  11. Not perfect? This is AWESOME! Absolutely stunning first creation. :wub_drool: The gearbox selector/spoiler (and everything else) is ingenius! TLH
  12. <cough> allanp <cough> I personally prefer pneumatics, they are simple and easy to install. I'll let allanp do the talking; we've had this exact same topic before actually. (literally the exact same title ) TLH
  13. :excited: That looks awesome! I hope the next set has the right tolerances. I'm a bit broke atm, but I might be interested... TLH
  14. Unfortunately, after watching that video, I have to agree with what dan1el said - it's a 2 in 1 logo. TLH
  15. I can't fvcking believe how lucky you are- that is totally awesome! My school has pretty much the exact same stuff, but more of it, but of course I don't get to keep any of it. I'm looking forward to see what you build with this! TLH
  16. Pneumatics? Now we're talking. Can't wait to see what the logo is! TLH
  17. skppo is right- those shocks will just adjust the camber. There is also too much camber angle in the wheels and it is quite a bit too wide. But a good start and a nice concept. I'll try to build something today and test it out. Good luck on your project! TLH
  18. Yes, it's possible. I'm using one on my latest project; however, due to the contacts on the bottoms of micro motors and 2838 motors, you'll have to use electrical contact plates. TLH
  19. Nice, the dark bley and yellow looks awesome! What's up with the alien head? TLH

My name is TwentyLeggedHen- for no reason whatsoever. I just use it everywhere. I guess it's never taken though... TLH
  21. I'm 99% sure it's the snowmobile suspension arms in the rear. See here: But the question is: why? This is an incredibly lame set. TLH
  22. Absolutely one of the coolest things I've ever seen built with LEGO- words can't describe this. This must be frontpaged. TLH
  23. It looks great! The one thing I like most about it? It actually looks like a rock crawler. The suspension looks really nice too! TLH
  24. Differential, and mostly everything there is to know about suspension- caster, camber, unequal length wishbones, spline shafts, triangulated links, multilink suspension.... the list goes on and on. Some pneumatic things too- although the projects of Mark Bellis just baffle me completely And pretty much everything that has been said in this topic so far. TLH
  25. I think it would go a bit too slow for it to work well - I tried both a 1 cylinder and a 2 cylinder LPE (both with a flywheel) and neither worked very smoothly even with a large manual pump. You should test it out first though, as the LPE's were of my own design and might have some... problems. TLH
