  1. My favorite set of 2012
  2. Hi Wonderpants, How much did you pay for the set? I haven't see any incomplete set for less than euro $1400
  3. Dear Rollermonkey, What are those missing pieces when comparing with Bricklink inventory? Dwong
  4. Hi, I believe many of you seen this awesome built by Titans Creations What caught most of my attention is the cockpit area. The pilot seat is beautifully built but I am not able to identify the element. Here's the most detail photo search from google. Maybe some expert can find out. One more close up.
  5. Hi unhappyeeyore, I've been able to score 3000 pcs for us$0.10/pcs from a single store, sounds ok? This will be my first big order Another 600 pcs will be from B&P at the moment.
  6. Hi unhappyeeyore, I did input the min qty in wanted list, this will definitely improve the matching speed, but may not be a fair price because some shop will inventory same parts in different lots. Hi Lobot, "Show All Items this store has on my Wanted List (All Items)" is very useful but not at the mean while. Here's what I did now 1. mark down all price from "Brick & Pieces" 2. mark down min qty in BL wanted list
  7. Hi Lobot, How do I know the brick price is reasonable (non-rare piece)?
  8. Hi unhappyeeyore, Did you set min Qty in BL want list?
  9. Hi Lobot, I have to agree every word you said, this project is epic and not easy to complete. If going to the wrong direction, I will broke my arm/leg to get it done. The most difficult thing is estimate the final cost. Will follow your advice, thanks in advance
  10. Hi Lobot, Thank you so much for the advice Been trying to start the project 2 years ago, but failed Yesterday I start another excel spreadsheet, load up 4 local bricklink shop. I could get 50% of all the pieces for us$570, sounds positive? (shipping extra, no many rare pieces) What if order all pieces thru bricks & pieces, find the rest on bricklink?
  11. Hi Lobot, How did you break up the orders, what's the rule? The software is only able to match 5 stores
  12. Interesting, may ask what are the "usual replacement parts"? What is the total weight?
  13. How much to built this ship? I don't have any lego set right now.
  14. Hi MinusZwei, I went Lego web site ordering parts, choose "a pieces broke while building" reason type "I lost it" how do I know the cost for each parts?
  15. Hi Lobot, Thanks for startup this topic in 2013 ^_^ I did follow every advices you mention on this topic My first attempt (estimate the cost) - source all local country bricklink shop (plus a big shop from overseas), not use combine method, I can complete 192 parts. - total order 7, total cost us$460.00, not include shipping cost yet. My second attempt (estimate the total cost and complexity of combine order) - source all local country bricklink shop, use combine method, it is a lot more complex...... - my excel spread sheet is over 50 columns now - still calculating This project is toooooooooo BIG, and I don't want to spend $2000 at the end. I don't want to give up at the moment, but the shop's inventory is moving, may need to go over each shop again ( 268 items X number of shops )
