This honestly might be the only way. Considering we're still missing Ki-Adi-Mundi, Shaak Ti, Aayla Secura, Eeth Koth, Luminara Unduli, Even Piell, Plo Koon and Barris Offee from the PT versions. Mind you not all of them are on the council but those Jedi desperately need the Minifig treatment that isn't CW. Palpatine's Arrest definitely helped with PT Jedi but we need the rest!

So LEGO is aware that they rip off us Western Europeans and what is going to change?

Honestly I think they are both pretty bad, I just watched Return of the Jedi again today and I think the only way we could get a proper Scout Trooper is with actual arm printing with a combination of white and black.

I was really hoping we were going to get a redesigned Chewbacca but alas I don't think that will ever happen.

I was thinking the exact same thing but I think once you consider that this has 17 minifigs, compared to only 5 in Tower of Orthanc, it isn't too bad a deal.

Amazing set! Even better then I thought it was going to be and with 17 minifigs to boot! I'm loving all those unique ewoks and all the play features (even though I don't really play with my sets :P).

What sets do we expect to see in 2014, which will be the last year of sets before Episode VII comes out which I assume will dominate the 2015 calendar year for set releases. We are still missing many scenes and minifigs. Would love to see a Jedi Temple that opens like a doll house and has a Jedi Council room and library etc.

I haven't had a chance to check the entire thread but has anyone noticed a serious lack of Jedi from the prequel trilogies actually appearing in minifig form? Alot of them appear as their Clone Wars counterparts but nothing from the movies as far as I can tell (I'm just getting back into LEGO). Ki-Adi-Mundi Aayla Secura Plo Koon Shaak Ti just to name a few. There is alot of Jedi missing that appeared on the Jedi Council in the prequels yet haven't received a movie minifig. Am I completely wrong in this assumption or do you think this could be planned with a Revenge of the Sith wave sometime soon?

That thing looks absolutely beautiful, I love all the red! As someone just getting back into LEGO, I'm really excited for pretty much all the summer sets.

As someone who has also recently come back to LEGO (been about 15 years I reckon), I think there is 2 things to consider. Can you afford it and can you find a decent deal? I managed to pick mine up for €270 and I felt that was much too good to turn down. You will always regret not buying it as opposed to buying it. Atleast if you own it before it ever retires and you need the money you could always sell it on. I can't imagine anything worse that the Death Star running out of stock and it doubles in price and suddenly you have this regret that you never pulled the trigger. I also tend to agree that the new minifigs and models look much better but the minifigs in this are excellent and must haves. I would absolutely recommend, even when I didn't have an interest in LEGO, it was the 1 thing that always drew me back to LEGO.

I'd have to agree, they are probably just placeholder prices for the moment, I imagine they will change closer to release to be more in line with the USD.
