  1. Great find! The sets are looking even cooler, and I love those minifigs in the dump truck set! It looks like Chunk's face can be rolled up and down, so he might have an angry face as well as a smiling one! The purple octopus doesn't seem like a minifig with what seems to be only two pieces, but his facial expression looks nice and it's always good to get more parts in purple. The driver minifig's face looks really weird - hopefully it'll look better when the designs are finalized.
  2. Thanks for the review dabulls03! Looks like a very cool set for $30! A heap of accessories, a camel with two crates balanced on him (neat little addition the the set!), the cloth awning and the two traps are what sell this set for me. Now all I need to do is wait for one of those Borders coupons... Let the race to see who reviews Quest Against Time first begin!
  3. ILikePi replied to KimT's post in a topic in LEGO Star Wars
Interesting, so this is similar the New York Toy Fair book, except with some slightly changed pages (it also seems that things like a big picture of Nahdar Vebb, a relief print of the white Boba Fett, and pics of Cad Bane's Speeder's minifigs) If so, hopefully there'll be a wider release of this calalog! I would love to get my hands on this.
  4. A bit unfortunate how you were beat in being the first on EB to review this set, but multiple reviews are always welcome! I have mixed feelings on this set. You do get some amazingly detailed minifigs, a very cool horse, some new accessories and some new colors of parts, but the price-to-parts ratio is at a very high 19 cents per piece, which is much higher than most $10 sets. I'll probably end up buying this anyways because it's the lowest-priced PoP set. Thanks for the review!

Yesterday I went to Target to buy my first LEGO Toy Story sets: Army Men on Patrol and Woody and Buzz to the Rescue! The army men set was on sale for $9 (USD), normally $11, and the RC set was on sale for $18, normally $20. However, there is a printable coupon online for $5 off the RC car set. Plus, I had a little over $4 left in a Christmas gift card, so I only paid about $9 for a $20 set! "Look alive men, and hold your fire until the minesweepers scan the area!" I'll be reviewing Woody and Buzz to the Rescue soon and will post comparison pics of the actual army men and the LEGO ones. Wow! Can't wait to see what you cook up with those minifigs! Wow, 50% off everything is an amazing deal! It's good that some smaller countries are getting great sales.
  6. Another extraordinary review Clone O' Patra! I love the overall look of this set from that three-quarters view! The mix of all these shades of brown and white make the set look amazing. I personally don't think that it's worth $80 (USD), but when you factor in the minifigs, accessories, new color of parts and other things, it does seem like a good price for this set. (I give it an above average [4])
  7. In the beginning, the survey asks you to not disclose any information, so this is confidential stuff. I'd recommend a moderator/admin to remove this topic.

Thanks for the review WhiteFang! I was pondering on getting this set for quite some time, and you've resparked my interest in this set. I'll have to go get this now when Borders has their next 30% off coupon.
  9. ILikePi replied to hopeso009's post in a topic in LEGO Star Wars
Actually Future, if you look at hopeso009's last post in this topic, he says that he is moving to MOCPages. A quick search there reveals his page, which contains 12 of his LEGO Star Wars MOCs. (His page will take quite a while to load, so don't just close it if you see nothing happening)
  10. Oky Wan already made a gigantic, higher resolution version of that box art a couple of pages back (it's cleaner and larger than Brickset's picture). EDIT: Images in quotes turned into links
  11. Thanks whung for finding the pictures, and thanks ForceMaster for posting them here. It is a bit disappointing that there's no tactical droid on the CTT box art. It looks like Ahsoka was moved forward a bit to fill up the empty space (compare the newer box art pic with FBTB's photo). I do agree with that - those were probably the worst logos in all of LEGO Star Wars! I love how this one has Captain Rex with lightning in the background.
  12. I congratulate you on doing the first review of a LEGO PoP set, Ricecracker! I was waiting for you to post this in the public forums before commenting, but I couldn't resist reading it before it appeared here. I wasn't very fond about this set (the ostriches seemed to be the only interesting part), but reading your review made me put it on my buy list! Some stunning back prints on the minifigs, and fronts look even better! The gate opening mechanism is a neat little feature, and there's a plethora of tan and other rarer colors in the brown family!
  13. Haha, funny picture you got there, Oky Wan. Adding Gary was a nice touch.
  14. Great find just2good, and thanks sooo much for the box art stitching endeavor, Oky Wan! (Now you know how tedious it is ) Twitch looks very cool, and I love how the minifigs have different expressions and dirt printings on them! Unfortunately it means I won't be able to get the "regular" versions of the minifigs, but I don't care since it's excellent that TLG would actually go to the extent of making the minifigs look as close to what they probably will look like in the upcoming movie. Oh, and by the way, the price of the set is $44.99 USD according to TRU. Not really sure if it's that good of a deal, but I'll wait for more pictures or a review before making up my mind. There's so many amazing sets coming out this year! It's probably just the lighting - I compared the green to my Squidman minifig and my brick separator, and my minifig and brick separator are both much darker than the green in the picture.

Thanks for taking your time to compile all this information! Before reading this article, I only knew about the modern day numbering of normal sets (0000-9999) and the numbering of BrickMaster sets (I used to think that this was the whole 2XXXX range), promotional polybagged sets (30000's), and seasonal sets (40000's). Thanks again for the interesting read!
  16. The alien mini ship looks great! Hopefully it'll be widely available so we can all make our own claw machines. Actually, the 3XXXX range of sets seems to be for (most) promotional polybagged sets. The 2XXXX range seems to be for BrickMaster sets.
  17. Interestingly, episode 15 is already up on watchtheclonewars.com! I didn't even know. EDIT: Thanks sok for pointing out that episode 16 is a fake on the website - I've changed what I posted.
  18. Very interesting story, clean and crisp pictures, and stunning MOCs! You've really outdone yourself pedro! I especially like how you used modules to work with just one base piece - I didn't even know that the ground and buildings were the same until you showed us at the end! Good luck in the contest!
  19. Wow, thanks for the pictures whung! The garbage truck set looks amazing! I love the dark green container, and the great thing is that it comes with Jessie! Now I don't even need to get the keychain. And Twitch looks awesome! The Pizza Planet truck and the dump truck look even better now, especially with the printed minifigs! One step ahead of you!
  20. ILikePi replied to Jar Jar's post in a topic in Community
What's this? A topic all about me? You shouldn't have! (This is similar to what happened to MetroiD ) Just kidding - Happy π Day! I'm guessing that you (Jar Jar) found out because of what was in my sig and what I ended my posts with? For the record, my favorite pie is apple. Nothing beats the classic flavor! Oh, and Google has a cool new logo made just for Pi Day: Ooh, great thought. Bring on 3.1415! Have a great π Day! (Just wondering, which font for Pi do you guys think looks better? π or π?)
  21. I don't think that we're going to get a Jedi shuttle; set number 8134 is a Tiny Turbo made in 2007 - TLG would never reuse a set number in just a 3 year period! Have a great Pi Day everyone!
  22. I always love reading your detailed posts! This one is very informative, thanks for sharing Have a great Pi Day!
  23. ILikePi replied to illspace's post in a topic in LEGO Star Wars
I've got a question to the people who already went to TRU and got their silver stormie polybag: Do they allow you to buy the polybags separately without buying any LEGO Star Wars sets? I would love to be able to buy 2-3 at $3 each at the store since, unfortunately, I already have the battle packs and I don't want to pay $4 shipping just for polybags (also, Oky Wan pointed out that they're out of stock online). One thing I learned when it comes to items that seem exclusive is to wait - usually they'll be available in larger amounts later on. Have a great Pi Day everyone!
  24. ILikePi replied to Rufus's post in a topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks for the informational review, Rufus! My thoughts on this set are changed slightly from drdavewatford's review - the build model looks a bit better in your pics, but Yoda's head still creeps me out. As others have said, it looks like an excellent parts pack that wouldn't stay built for long in most people's houses. Exceptional pictures as usual! Have a great Pi Day everyone!
  25. ILikePi replied to Erdbeereis's post in a topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Great idea Erdy, and fantastic execution of it! I love the look of the storage tower (although it might because of the numerous trans-light blue bricks ), and the concept of Atlantis in space is just very cool. Lots of greebly goodness on all three parts of the MOC (especially the spikes on The Shark's ship!), and excellent use of the Robo Attack egg cockpit! Have a great Pi Day everyone!
